  1. My position is that if she is injured mentally or physically, and or it will take money to rehabiliate her, that is when you sue. If you sue just b/c you think you can get money out of them or b/c you think they're jerks for not being sensitive enough, you're just fueling the "I'm going to sue McDonalds for having hot coffee" society mentality, which is why we have some seriously crappy restrictions, corporate liability paranoia, and expensive car insurance. I hope your wife is ok, good luck!
  2. I wouldn't mind one on my 260z just out of curiosity if someone is bored. History can be interesting on old cars, lol.
  3. That's how mine is too. I haven't done anything with it yet, but I know it'll work. I've seen other members use it i'm pretty sure.
  4. Congrats! Edit: oooh post #260... like my car... giggle God I'm bored. This class suuuucks.
  5. Awesome, congrats! It's working great on this end, quick speedy posts all around.
  6. Mmmm that looks nice. It's cool to actually see them side by side like that. Very neat to see the Stage 2 wheel compared to stock!
  7. Cool! I'll be interested to see how this turns out. Most home-brew paint jobs around here consist of rustoleum, which I was down for till I decided to try something metallic (oh boy). I think I've decided to get a black epoxy primer to start with, and just leave the car in that (paint store said it would be fine) till I'm ready to sand it down and paint it (months likely). The flat black primer should look cool for awhile till I can get paint.
  8. I'm purusing through wing choices as well. I plan to add one purely for aero reasons... so much so that I might try to make it easily removable for street use. I'm just not a huge fan of the look (ahem, dang ricer association). I must say though, Mikelly's looks aaaaamazing. His style might just be worth me leaving on all the time.
  9. Hmm... time to research offset grinding...
  10. I wish they'd just revamp the site to be more user friendly. Oh well, crazedlist it is.
  11. I should get about $200 back from my meager summer job. It's most likely going straight into a paint job.
  12. Wow, I don't have time to read this thread now, but this will undoubtedly be useful. I'm an amateur/average photoshop user, and I'll admit I had a rough time altering the color of a dull yellow Z about a month or two ago. I'll have to give this a try when I get some spare time. Cool stuff!
  13. I hope this isn't a fluke occurring b/c of the transition to a new server... but the 15 second time restriction on searching appears not to exist anymore. If this was a planned change, god bless you sir! EDIT: Nevermind, it was a fluke.
  14. I think this is the route that most car manufacturers are starting to go. Less overengineering to save on costs. This is great for the average car buyer, since it helps to lower costs, but for the tuner it's not so great. I also think having the exhaust on top is a fantastic idea. Just from a dynamics standpoint, heat rises, so having it on top should help with heat soak somewhat. Plus it would be pretty sweet to have your exhaust coming out the hood. The ITB with velocity stacks look, but backward!
  15. Seems to not be working for me either. I chalked it up to a spam filter, but I guess not. No emails.
  16. I'd like to do a 3.0L stroker with my holset & MS&S, but finding a maxima crank for less than an arm and a leg could be a problem. I'm not even going to ask how you got one free... lucky!
  17. Searches bring up lots of talk about it, but no picture. That's something I'd definitely like to see if it exists though.
  18. Alright well i'm too lazy to take a pic of the parts I bought for now (plus that's kinda lame I guess), but I got the following: Intake/Exhaust Manifold Gasket - $11 Dot3 Brake Fluid - $8 Some Hose Clamps - $5 B-12 Chemtool - $2 Fan Belt - $10 Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter - $26 So I spent around $75 getting stuff ready for next weekend. I still need to pick up some fuel tubing and fittings (5/16?), and make sure I DO have a voltage and fuel regulator installed. If all goes well I hope to at least get the engine cranking, if not get a little sputter out of her. Seeing how easy the sandblasting was, I think I've decided to take the plunge and put the car in primer before I put her on the streets temporarily. I figure I can get like a black epoxy primer ($70 locally), and leave it in that till I get around to trying my hand at a metallic graphite grey with a candy blue overcoat paint job ($250+ locally?).
  19. Mmmm... some headwork then 30psi perhaps? Heh, just kidding. Cool vid man.
  20. Yasin: That's an awesome exhaust manifold... by the way. Congrats hugh! Can't wait to see the progress.
  21. Conservation of momentum makes me think otherwise... The only way that would work IMO is if it had a flywheel to maintain the momentum when the engine is not pulling vacuum... but the boost wouldn't last long... and the vacum to get a gainable flywheel spinning probably doesn't exist. Sounds like it'll do worse than one of those electric turbos to me. Still interested in seeing the outcome though. Good luck!
  22. I know I'd definitely like to make trips over on some weekends.
  23. So ehhh, what kind of downtime are we talking here? I might need some re-hab if it's going to be too terribly long.
  24. If you get a few minutes and a camera can you snag a pic of them installed?
