  1. That'd be pretty cool if they could add the Hallett circuit if they do a Forza 3. I love the burnout series. Very fun to play with 3 other people!
  2. Ok so I just watched on how to convert P90a to solid lifters. Seems pretty easy, so I think I might try to do it myself. Save some cash, have a little fun, give myself a headache. This is assuming the N42 solid lifters are the same as the P90 solid lifters, and everything will swap over with just a spring compressor, yes? I also gather you can't put hydraulic lifters in a P90 because the threads are bigger, correct?
  3. Cool, thanks for the response. So a few of the ones I found mention using the timeserts to convert from P90a to solid lifters. Does it work the same going backwards, P90 to hydraulic? I know that people have accomplished P90a hydraulic to solid conversions, but I guess my lack of knowledge is if there is anything different between the N42 and P90 solid lifters that will make a swap incompatible. At this point I'm mainly looking for a possible/not possible, I can figure out how later. Depending on how difficult a swap is, I might just have the shop do it for me when i buy the head from them. But hey, if I can do it myself to save and it's not terribly complicated, I'm up for it. Thanks, TR
  4. 1.) http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SGS04 2.) YES 3.) Maybe yes, maybe no. Ebay has parts ranging from awesome to crappy. Kinda a lottery sometimes.
  5. Never owned a PS2, but my buddy lived by Gran Turismo 4.
  6. Ok I'm still searching around the site, but haven't had a ton of luck so far. My question, as in the title, is if the solid lifters out of a 75 280z N42 head can be swapped into a P90 head. There is a shop that has a P90 head pretty close to where I'm thinking about picking up a 1975 280z. The solid lifters have been taken out of the P90 and were swapped into a P90a head. The shop still has the hydraulic lifters out of the P90a head, so if the N42's can't be swapped I suppose I could just have the hydraulics swapped in. For now the main thing I'll be doing to the 75 L28 is the head swap, but eventually it'll be rebuild forged with a goal of 350-400+whp (with turbo), and a 7000rpm redline. Should I just stick with hydraulics and not worry about it, or (if the N42's won't work) try to source some solid lifters? I've read that solid lifters are preferable to hydraulic. I'm going to call the shop tomorrow to see what the head and work will cost me, so I wanted to get this info ahead of time.
  7. I'm still waiting (impatiently) for ep7 to get subbed.
  8. I am a Forza (original) addict, so I'm a little biased. -I'll agree that all of the PGR series is too arcadish, so that knocks it out for me aside from occasional multiplay. I've started the campaigns on several of them, and never finished. -Although Forza 2 does seem to overdo the physics, I still like it as a simulator. All out fun, never boring! My fav is the GTR class Ferrari Maranello on the full Nurburgring ring, yum!
  9. Wow, very similar hobbies to mine on here. This is going to be a long one... I'll do country, rock, hip-hop, love jazz, etc. Played the trumpet for 8yrs, but haven't in about 2yrs (no time or place in college now that I'm out of band) I like to mess around with a few guitars I have, still trying to teach myself. 10. That's going to look pretty awesome, can't wait to see it with the bumper! Vere nice wheels btw
  11. Me too. I'm currently in the market, and having a hard time finding something semi-local. (Northwest Arkansas)
  12. Hmm... keep stock dash + dash cover and interior refurbish, or gut the interior and make one of these... hmm. Blast, decisions! I REALLY like the way that looks. Gutting the interior on a semi-daily driver just makes me nervous. Afraid I might get tired of it. We'll see. How much and of what did you get at IMS? About how many hours invested? Willing to send me your cardboard mockup so I can replicate the results, or just build me one? j/k
  13. Very nice! You just adding to the collection, or buying to train someone? My dad has been learning on a slowstick. I've flown it a few times, and compared to the flat mid-wing 3D foamy I learned on it's nice and tame. Very good to learn on, as long as there is no wind to throw it around! I did find it hard to line up and land without ailerons after learning with them though! I got an E-flite Mini-Pulse XT under-wing stunt plane for X-mas this year. Took it for its maiden flight today and was I ever surprised! I was flying without any dual rates setup, full travel, and boy was it touchy. I'm used to my slow 3D park flyer with huge control surfaces, and even with surfaces a fraction as large the speed of this new plane makes it very sensitive. I can't wait to get my throws setup and REALLY start flying it. EDIT: Added a pic of "The Flight Table". Shows my New Mini-Pulse, the blue foamie I built and self taught (plus lots of sim time) to fly IRL, and my Dad's slowstick.
  14. Sometimes I wish I lived in Europe. Well, Ok, more than sometimes 1 bar is normally accepted as 14.7psi IIRC. Just to be precise
  15. Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. Regardless of the car, I wish the best for you and your wife!
  16. I love me some S38. I wish I could afford to go this route. Thanks for all the awesome info!
  17. Just covering all bases here, but usually when a car just clicks, it means your battery is too low to crank the engine. If you're battery is fully charged, then yes it might be a problem with the solenoid or relay (I think that's what that is, correct me gurus!)
  18. I guess that's true from a racing standpoint, but my thoughts were that gas mileage would benefit from less turbulent airflow. (daily driver mentality, sorry!)
  19. Nice find! What were the rest of the keychains, anything good?
  20. A funnel shaped Iris would probably be the most efficent and least turbulent I would think. The barrel design seems interesting, and perfect at WOT, but what about the rest of the throttle range? It seems that the further you get from WOT, pretty quickly it would be more turbulent than a butterfly design, no?
  21. Price sounds pretty good for a post L28ET swap car, even with a little rust. If you bail let me know, I'm interested (assuming it's in Colorado as well).
