  1. It's been discussed before A quick search should bring it up.
  2. What are you using for the feed and return lines?
  3. Where did you find them, and how much did you end up paying? I was looking for a set awhile back and couldn't find a source for used ones.
  4. I have one for $10+shipping or $20 powder coated. PM me if you're interested Thanks! http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/97816-an-entire-collection-of-z-parts/page__p__918381__hl__collection__fromsearch__1#entry918381
  5. A free Z with a title is one that is always welcome in my shop! See how bad the rust is, and if she is too far gone, part it out and scrap the shell I see at least a grand in parts and scrap money sitting there...
  6. I was in the same situation with a set of mine, and the machine shop couldn't get them out with their 20 ton press. However, an oxy-acetylene torch, an air hammer, a BFH with assorted punches, a drill, and a few hours of swearing finally got them out! Hang in there! This is *the* hardest job most Z owners will face
  7. I've sold a quarter I removed from one of my parts cars for $150, so I'd say $100 with your own labor to cut is a fair deal. Drill out as many of the spot welds as you can and it starts coming apart from there. It's pretty straightforward once you start.
  8. Please check out the classified rules, here. Additionally, please check out the general forum rules (particularly #5), here. Also, your link doesn't work. Thanks!
  9. I shoot a Nikon, and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a DSLR. I had a friend who picked up a Sony aXX package from costco (since it was "such a great deal") and had a chance to play with it for a few minutes. In my opinion, it felt very cheaply made and I didn't like the feel of it. Lens selection is pretty darn limited as well. If you ever get into photography as a hobby you will definitely be wanting more lenses, which is really a limiting factor with the Sony cameras. Stick to a Nikon or a Cannon. The only reason I would get a cannon over a Nikon is if you had a collection of lenses already. They are both great cameras, but the menus of Nikon are easier to navigate, imo. What's your budget? You can pick up a Nikon D60 or a D40x for a pretty decent price and have some money left over to spend on lenses and accessories! It took me about 8 months to outgrow my D60, although I still shoot it all of the time. My next buy will probably be a babied D90. I spent about $460 on a manufacturer demo D60 used exclusively by a Nikon sales rep about 2 years ago, and their prices are even lower today. Check out eBay for great deals on factory refurb cameras with a warranty!
  10. Where did you get it from, how long ago, and how did you pay?
  11. Awesome score man! What yard did you find it in?
  12. Personally, I wouldn't do anything other than taking it down to bare metal. Depending on the current state of your car, consider using a chemical stripper to get the most of it off. It's a different kind of messy as opposed to sanding, but a lot less labor intensive when used with a pressure washer. You don't know what kind of previous repairs have been done that are hiding under that paint. Going to bare metal gives me a lout of peace of mind.
  13. Hey Wilson, Turns out that he sold them locally a few weeks ago. Sorry man!
  14. ZForceProductions also makes one, but we all know why Justin doesn't post here anymore. Has anyone bought from his site? http://www.zforceproductions.com/
  15. MSA has them for $70/set or $35/pr. My buddy has a set in the bags still and I'll ask him if he wants to part with them and get back to you with a price.
  16. Well, that was quick and easy! Thanks LoneStar!
  17. Hey guys, Does anyone know what spoiler this is, who makes it, and where I might be able to get one? I've fallen in love with it, but can't find out what it's called. I've searched on here, eBay, MSA, showcars, google, etc. to no avail. I really like the way it compliments a set of ZG flares. Here's the first shot I saw of it. (Pic credit obviously goes to Super Street ): And here's a pic of Robert Chauvot's car. Unfortunately he has had it since 1982 and doesn't know who makes/made it: Thanks in advance guys! Search phrases: 3-piece, wing, tail, bolt on
  18. I'm surprised that it hasn't happened sooner, Cable I like the plan through and through, and hope to be running a very similar setup within the next few years (if I'm being honest with myself). Keep us posted with lots of pics and how the setup responds!
  19. Joel, I like the way you think! PM on its way!
  20. Frame rails are on the way (thanks Tom!), but I'm still looking for a set of spindle pins!
  21. So are there now 4 head gaskets for a v6? I like their take on it! Definitely something that's a little outside of the box. Now we just need an adapter/spacer that will mate "exhaust port" and a t3 turbo Should make turbo placement pretty simple with only having to fab an entire header!
  22. If the inside diameter is 2" then the threaded collars may work for a 240z strut tube. You're going to want new springs though, as those ones will be seriously too stiff for street shocks.
  23. They are $23 direct from energy suspension. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=240z+mustache+bar+bushing
  24. I don't have an oven that big... yet! I can cure it all using IR heat lamps though like I do for frames. It's a serious PITA, but I can't justify that 10'x8'x8' oven yet I'm more focused on smaller custom work (candies, translucents, metallics, etc) rather than the industrial sized stuff for now, as the industrial shops can process the big items a LOT more cheaply than I can. I finally decided on the design I'm going to go for with my rotisserie for next month, and it'll be a hybrid of Nelsonian's above in this thread and the one discussed in posts #9 and 11 here. I may also incorporate some bearings, but it really doesn't seem like it's necessary, especially if you have some kind of counterweight mechanism.
