http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/cam/index.htm Follow the guidelines there and you'll be able to tell if it is a stock cam. Most cam markings are under the timing sprocket, which you'll have to remove to see. For what it's worth, I have had stock cams with some paint marks on them before. -
My only problem with 16" wheels is the lack of tire availability! I definitely think that a 16" wheel gives a very aesthetic balance between the size of the wheel vs the size of the sidewall though.

I'm pushing for the RK-r in the same sizes we had the rb-r done in, 17x9 -13 and 17x9.5 -19. Alternatively, I'd like to see the same offsets and widths on a 15" wheel.

What happened Marcus? You and your wife alright? Can't really think of anyhthing I'd pull for the Z, but the wheels and stereo might be worth a bit.

Under what conditions does it knock, and where does it come from? Use a mechanic's stethoscope or a large screwdriver to your ear to isolate the location. When did you last adjust the valves and to what specs?

Check out the link here and read through the whole post. I think it'll give you the right direction to head with your suspension. Personally, I'm running the 280z Tokico HP lowering springs cut to fit on my 240z (as per JohnC's writeup) with illumina inserts. It all depends on your budget.

John, Do you know what Z's came with the r200 3.9 ratio stock? After a quick search I have found: 80 280ZX MT, 4 seater or GL 81-83 280ZX MT (I believe this is non-turbo only, but the listing I found didn't state this.) 87-89 300ZX Non-Turbo I can't seem to find the ratio for a '77 2+2 online, but have access to one locally if it doesn't have the 3.54 like the other 280z models.

Most junkyards offer a minimal warranty on their parts for return/exchange within XX days (it's 30 where I'm from). Personally, I would probably take the transmission back and exchange it if there is anything similar in the yard. You can always put the 4 speed back in for the trip and look into the 240sx transmission swap if they will exchange the bad 5 speed for one of those.

Why not punch a good factory 010 block out for your current internals? Have it It isnt an aftermarket block, but there aren't any sleeves, it has the 'high' nickel content, and also has 4 bolt mains. For the price of the dart block you could buy ten 010 blocks and have them all tested at your machine shop.

Arif, "Stage 3" is the Toyota 4x4 calipers with the solid rotor, and "Stage 4" is the Toyota 4x4 calipers with vented rotors. The calipers themselves are off of different years of the Toyota trucks. A quick search in the FAQ will bring up the differences and p/n specifics. Darom, Take a look at the brake options thread in the FAQ section for your answers. It's all spelled out there.

Any reason why you opted for the version with the applicator gun over the aerosol version of their stone guard? Where did you order everything from? I've been debating on what I want to do for undercoating, and I think that Wurth over etching primer over POR15 is going to be my answer
