Check out baddog frame rails. They weld over the original frame rails and tie further back than the stock rails.

I think you've got some more general research to do before you start getting into the specifics between the strengths of an f54 and an n42 block that really only come into play in the high horsepower levels

Imo, it's best to build you bottom end as bullet proof as you can afford to. If you have a very reliable strong base to work with, you can always add whatever you like onto it later. Who says you're not going to want to run 20+ lbs of boost with a 150 shot to spool a huge turbo later down the road?

I have the same exact situation in my Z right now. I armoral'd the entire dash, and covered it to keep the direct sunlight off of it for the time being, but I'm looking for a long term solution to keep things from getting worse.

Taking a stab in the dark here, as I've never seen one of the nismo r180 CLSDs for sale before, but if I saw it for sale I would expect the person to be asking around $5-600 for everything.
