  1. Can you have anything else step up in your way to finish. I glad you have the energy and tenacity to push through. Keep the updates coming!
  2. Did you wrap the housing or did you buy a blanket?
  3. I need to put some shielding on my down pipe as well as around my break master cylinder and intake manifold. What are you guys using? Did you make it or did you buy something that worked?
  4. I went with the MSD universal V8 set. Thought they looked cool. Excuse the wiring mess. I was installing my turbo setup and wanted to make sure that it all worked. But, you get the idea of the wire setup.
  5. Bummer,,, looked like fun before the slip and slide
  6. The round 4 prong out of the distributor should go directly into the harness with a similar looking connection. There is also a single male prong that is on the side of the distributor, it goes the the T shape of the ignitor on the coil. The intake items you are talking about are for cold start and I believe blow off. Yes not much needed. I switched my intake to a non turbo one that only has the cold start switch. Pretty sure that the oil sender does not matter!
  7. Hey CrayZ,,, I looked at doing that as well. I think you can just box them and weld plates onto the drop downs. If you are not updating the Dif I would do that. if you are going to another dif with LSD. Go with someones already finished products. Yes pricey but its done and bolts right in.
  8. I just took mine off. Going turbo! To bad you are not close could make you a deal. Yes they are louder but worth it. What a N/A motor should sound like. There is a drone at certain rpms. Performance possibly a little.
  9. No update on the car.... At the shop and Allen says something is up with the timing. So, waiting for response.
  10. Yes I will, just left the car there. Nice guy, seems like he knows what he is talking about. Has a large variety of cars he is working on. 928 porsches, Nissans etc..
  11. Yeah I have dealt with Martin that works with Z Fever, he did the final tune on my 240sx that was stolen. He is in Tampa. Going to Motorworks in Sanford. He was the lead Tech at Z-Tech in Longwood. They did some work for my brother on his Z32. He left there about 2 years ago to open his own shop. Says he has done many of these swaps and had as much as 500hp in a L28. I have to give him a shot. Don't know what else is wrong. I will post his findings as soon as I know. I miss driving my car. My brother has a Kia Rio that is a stick shift , not the same as our Z's!
  12. Found a local shop that has done these swaps and I am taking it to them. Will let you know what we find out!
  13. I picked up a relay from autozone for $9.00 seems to work for me. I think as long as it has these prongs you should be fine. Went through all that 2 weeks ago. I didnt have the actual factory plastic receiver that the harness attaches to.
  14. Ok I have tried with the effort of my dad and cannot make any head way. Found a local guy that has done these swaps and am taking it to him. He says should be no problem to start.
  15. Ok I got the oil pan redone because when i installed new one it pushed out the front. Ran a new -10 drain line from the turbo. Looks good. Re-installed with a new gasket. Now thats done.
  16. Thought I was so close..... Always one more thing and something you have to redo.. Here is the final update for the week. Still dont have the car running, have bought another AFM. Took injectors out and checked all the "O" rings. They are all good. Checked the new plugs and they look clean. Have the fuel pressure dropped as best as I can tell to mid 30lbs.
  17. I think so,, Zentech in California.
  18. Ok onto my not running issue. i am getting a different AFM to see if the problem persists. Other issues of way too much fuel. i think I need to pull the injectors and replace the o-rings. Just in my attempting to start the car maybe 15 times and a total run time of about 45 seconds I have fouled 2 sets of plugs. With to much fuel would that make the vehicle not run or start and not run almost like it is flooded? When I changed the plugs the first attempt and car started and ran the best it has ever run since trying to start. While I am waiting for the AFM, I am pulling the oil pan to redo the turbo drain pipe(was leaking anyways at the front 2 bolts under the oil pump) Have a -6 and going to go with a -10 (3/4 ") inner diameter. Should be overkill but dont want to do it again. Any other ideas on running issues?
  19. Thanks CrayZ, , I sent ZT-R a message to see how he set his up. How many washers and whch way.
  20. Have not driven,,,,, Where are they using washers? Could be my nooby mistake, I have made a lot! Washers inbetween the lower control arms and the backing plate?
