  1. I was considering ordering the turbo (Internally Gated GT3076R) from JGY Customs for $1309. Anyone ordered parts from them before?
  2. Ah ok, didn't remember you were running a stock one. I don't think the 28 units will produce the power band I'm looking for. I like a rev happy engine with plenty of top end =]
  3. I remember looking at your build, arnt you running a cast hks manifold with an external wastegate?
  4. Pat is right about the pans being nearly impossible to find. Having him build one for you would be the way to go.
  5. Question unrelated: How do you deal with smog? Noticed you were from San Diego, as is I.
  6. 1. Im with AT&T and Im in an area with no reception issues 2. The only phone other then a prepaid one Ive ever owned is an iPhone 3. Im comfortable with the operating system and its design 4. You cannot fault the build quality of an iPhone, the 4th gen I have feels very stout and solid 5. The display is top notch, best Ive ever seen and does not strain my eyes Those are a couple reasons I go with the iPhone. It works for me and I am satisfied with it. Ive never given any other "smartphone" a chance because I havent felt like I wanted to and I like what I have. Edit: If anyone believes I am an Apple fanboy of sorts you probably would not be far off target. I dont mind paying a premium for their products because I have always been very satisfied with them.
  7. My stocker is leaking oil and it's time for a replacement. I was thinking of getting a Garret 30 or 35 and mate it with the stock exhaust manifold and plenum for now, which is not an optimum set up I know. Is an internal wastegate on these turbos an ok way to go? I've been looking at manifolds and all of them with external set ups that arnt total crap are WAY too expensive for me. My ultimate goal down the road is 400rwhp and I'm working toward that slowly. Would one of these turbos be able to produce that kind of power? I'm not expecting to run any more than 10psi when I bolt it on because I don't have aftermarket injectors and all that good stuff yet. I'm not too concerned with the slower spool up time. I've heard that external is the way to go but that kind of setup is too costly.
  8. My iPhone 4 came the other day and it's is awesome! It's my 3G connection is faster than my cable Internet and it loads YouTube a whole lot better then my iphone 3G ever did. Not to mention the camera and hardware... Certainly gonna keep this thing
  9. I got this from Kragen. Its an SKF and the number is 613015 for future reference.
  10. No, it's not designed to be washed. It's a zero maintenance filter meaning you don't have to oil it or anything either. You can take it off and use compressed air to give it a cleaning if need be.
  11. Sweet glad to hear you were able to sort it all out.
  12. What are your plans for this truck? Drift or show or something?
  13. Pat, excellent work. I wish I had metal working skills and equipment. Keep up the good work!
  14. Also let us know what's up when you run that line . I'm interested. If you run the line to your greddy plenum and it persists then maybe you'll have to recirc you bov which would suck. Might sound kinda ricer but I think the pssssh adds to the turbo experience.
  15. You are correct, we don't need the purple plug. And to add credience the fat hose you are refering to does run to the plenum. I have a stock plenum and the stock hose, it's a real long ugly one haha. But in any case it connects to the bottom of the plenum. I assume you are running a Greddy unit? Is there a spot for it to connect to?
  16. What kind do you have? My hks ssqv (expensive I know) eleviated this issue for me, my engine would almost die when coming off a rev, but it never actually would die. Thats exactly what my stock one did when I vented it for a while. Has it been doing this or did it just start to do it when you messed with the wiring?
  17. Got my 240z transmission mount today, only took a day to arrive. Mack from McKinney is a pretty cool guy, he gave me a good deal on it and got it shipped out asap. Planning on digging in and doing the swap this weekend!
  18. $10K for a nice RB25 powered Z build is not a lot in my opinion. I probally had around 6k in my 280z but that thing was a beater aside from the engine. My new build should ring in at about $10k. But the Z was bought with an insurance settlement I recieved so I won't really feel it.
  19. This sounds like a blow off valve. Are you running one that asparates into the atmosphere? I'm not hone right now but I can check it out when I get back if the blow off valve is not the problem.

  21. Went ahead and just ordered a 240 mount. Hopefully will get this RB in soon. I am truly missing it haha.
  22. Those are nice gauges. Only bad thing is that they cost money and it wont make you go any faster or handle any better
  23. Haha wiring is always a funny thing. I need to rewire mine when I reswap my RB25. The way I have it in my 280z is just terrible. Its like spaghetti
