  1. I have a 75' 280z, but it was rear ended and wrecked. I got 72' 240z Im working on now though. Thanks for the offer though
  2. Sweet, I haven't seen your build before. Cant wait to see how this turns out!
  3. Went down to Radio Shack and got a pack of resistors so I can hopefully get my Autometer tach working. If you are trying to get the RB25 to work with an Autometer tach you need a 10k ohm resistor 1/2 watt 5% tolerance. Now this is a bit of a ricer move but I couldnt help myself from "mocking up" the Power Fc Commander before I even have the RB installed Im using a generic adjustable cellphone holder. I like the positioning of it, its not in the way at all and its kind of out of sight which is nice, yet still easy to get to and monitor with a quick glance. Also, pulled the R200 differential out of the 280z today.
  4. Anybody know if it's possible hook up a greddy solenoid to a Power Fc? If it's simple and cheap/free I'd be interested as I have a Greddy Profec B Spec 2 unit. Thanks.
  5. Got it today. Cant wait to get the RB in the 240z and get that baby tuned :D :D Decided that Im gonna do a methanol setup before I get the PFC tuned and do it at the same time.
  6. Not resting on the "original-ness" laurels for too long. Got a little something in the mail today Apexi Power Fc Stand Alone ECU with hand controller.
  7. Thought Id post some paperwork and manuals that received with the 72' 240z. The Folder has nearly every oil change, refuel, parts refurbish, performance part, and all services done to it since 1972 when it rolled out of the showroom. Most (if not all) of the factory manuals are present, including the original owners Datsun warranty card. Just kind of cool to thumb back through the years and see what was done and how much it cost.
  8. RB26=$$$$$$$ RB25=$$$$ SBC=$$ That's usually the deciding factor.
  9. Great thread, got me thinking about a surge tank now.
  10. Interesting, as that was who I was going to Thanks for the info, I'm glad I asked!
  11. Nice, I need to make one of those to delete my radio as well. I dont listen to music when Im driving due to the drone of the exhaust and the fact that I love listening to the turbo spool up and the RB scream at high RPMs haha. I dont know if I should put gauges in it though...kind of out of sight a little. Maybe a little deal for meth and nitrous down the road
  12. Aw shucks I lost haha. Thanks for the fun RTz! And good luck to the people submitting videos!
  13. Yeah I learned that long ago, it's not a good idea to live above ones means. I could go with an upgraded turbo but it would mean waiting around to save up some cash and I know too many people that get into that "while I'm at it" syndrome and take a looooong time to do anything. I'm pretty stoked about how it's gonna be as of now because I'll get to tune it AND will have some money left in my pocket later on down the line I'll upgrade the turbo as I work and go to school and don't have a whole not of expenses at this point in my life. Lol I am into females by the way xD
  14. I purchased a second hand Power Fc for a pretty good price a few days ago and was wondering if anyone knows how good the included base map is. I am going to reset it when I get it to factory settings because I am not hip on blindly running other peoples maps. I was planning on driving it up to the Long Beach area from San Diego to have it tuned when the swap is completed. Would it be wise to do that on the Power Fc? Or should I drive it on the stock ECU and then install the Power Fc in the parking lot (lol) when I get there to have it tuned professionally. I have an RB25DET S2 with 3" open exhaust, Apexi Power Intake, Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller at 10psi on stock turbo, and a large front mount intercooler, and 91 octane fuel. On a side note I was considering putting on an AEM meth injection kit to help with the fuel and having the tuner set it up when doing my power fc.
  15. Unfortunatly something came up and I decided to make the responsible decision to pay it off in full so I have less money then I had. I don't want to have a garage queen so I picked up a used stock turbo that's in good shape for $300 and am going to go with that for now so I can drive her sooner rather than later. However, I purchased a Power Fc with the money I had left over from buying a stock replacement turbo. I will be going with a GT3076r with an .82 a/r housing in the not so distant future. I appreciate the guidance thus far.
  16. Cool build! Can't wait to see it in action. What are your plans for a transmission?
  17. I should get my preorder in. I had to wait in a line for GT4 when it was released =p
  18. Bought something cool for the RB today, have to wait for it to be shipped. Anyone care to guess what it might be? Ill post when I receive it.
  19. Unknowingly started a GT Forza war Its just a game, so I would rather focus on the driving instead of worrying about crashing like I do when actually driving. However, GT5 will include damage this time around for the first time
  20. I can't wait for the Nurburgring, been missing that on Prologue and my Ps3 can't run GT4. I also have been missing out on the tuning as well. Hopefully they will include the 240zg again and some other models like the 432 this time around. Also I don't think Forza and GT are in the same class. GT is a driving simulator and I consider Forza to be just a racing game.
  21. I just noticed today that Gran Turismo 5 FINALLY has a shipping date for November 1st!!! I've been waiting for this game for years! I bought a PS3 Slim when they dropped to $299 in anticipation for this game and the only game I own is Gran Turismo Prolouge which I have done pretty much everything possible in. I got one of those GT4 Logitech wheels, pretty much a bonefide Gran Turismo geek. Anyone else counting the days till November 1st?
  22. You make a YouTube video about it yet? I enjoy watching your videos haha
