  1. I wouldnt worry about it. Mine is not hooked up, we dont really need it.
  2. Made a call to McKinney today and am having a 240z RB25 transmission crossmember sent to me. Should have it in a few days. RB swap should commence soon
  3. Maybe I'll just do the bezel mod as described in the link above. They cost me too much money to dissect them, I don't have the guts haha.
  4. Only thing that worries me is cracking open the autometers. I'm not sure if they just open up or if you have to mangle them to get to the internals. I'd sure feel like a dope if I mangled them only to realize that this can't really be done or it's out of my league.
  5. Swapped in some seats today. The seats were out of the 280z so the rails did not fit all the way. After working on it for a while they finally got in. I think they look a lot better then the old ones I had in it. What do you guys think?
  6. I've seen that but that's just putting the gauges into the stock housing. What I'm gunnin' for is a full on swap to where no one would even know the guts are actually autometers because they appear completely stock.
  7. Has anyone ever succesfully gutted an Autometer Monster Sport Comp tach and an Autometer Sport Comp Speedomter and transplanted them into stock 240z gauges? I like the look of the stockers and would like to retain them instead of the aftermarket look of the Autometers. I'd like to retain as much as possible including the stock needle, high beam indicator, brake indicator, and turn signal indicators. Is this just asking too much? I've never cracked open either gauge before but am really interested in doing this mod. Thanks.
  8. I pay like $78 dollars a month or something close to that. It sounds expensive but it seems like when you have one you cant live without it, at least thats the way it feels to me
  9. FINALLY sorted the headlights and got that steering column cover on. I dont have the right hardware so its not on all the way, but its better then wires hanging out all over the place. Before... ...After Sianara to the "Sorry I cant go with you guys, my headlights dont work" excuse! The lights have like a blueish color to them, you cant really see it in the picture Im going to be doing the RB swap as soon as I get some parts together that I need and set aside a little time. Shouldnt take too long! (knock on wood)
  10. I got my RB25 swapped 280z with a completely stock body, included the park benches, up to around 125mph. I was running a calibrated Autometer Sport Comp speedometer with an electric speedo gear, so I imagine its pretty accurate. All I can say is that it felt pretty sketchy The engine had quite a bit of room left to go but there is no way Id push further then that without proper aerodynamics.
  11. No prob, I completely understand your position as there are many irresponsible spenders in this day and age with credit and what not. You guys are making this a hard choice haha! I was going to just turn around and sell it but that point about the HD in car camera has me thinking otherwise...
  12. hahaha nice sig Rossman, Im not broke I just dont know a whole lot about these phones and whether the $200 is better spent somewhere else. Im in the Army and get a stipend and money for room and board as Im training to be a Lieutenant through Rotc at a university.
  13. Whoa that Z looks so cool!!! But that's a lot of money, even if it's a race car. Could probally build a replica of it for $10,000-$20,000
  14. Wow I had no idea they sold for that much. I figured they might go for like $40 or $50 bucks since they are two years old. I didn't even pay $300 for the phone brand new haha.
  15. Hmm did not think of selling my 3G, I didn't know they would sell for much. My 3G is in excellent almost new condition even though i've had it for two years because I take very good care of my things. Rossman, I don't have any problems with the iPhone and AT&T so I have no reason to switch. I don't know your situation but $200 is a fair amount of money for anybody. I don't have money just handed over to me so I think before I make purchases.
  16. A set of silverware for you, a few cups maybe, bowls, plates. Not too much and not too fancy, just enough. Make sure to bring all your charging cables for computer, printer, phone, etc. You'll need something to hold your clothes and a bed. Put a shower kit together and dental hygenie kit together as well. Then all your personal affects. That's all I can think of.
  17. I ordered an iPhone 4 a week or two ago because my AT&T contract was up and they allowed me to purchase it at the subsidized $200 and some odd price. I haven't actually paid for it yet I don't think because Apple won't have them available to ship to me until July 22nd. Aftering stewing on it for the past two weeks I was wondering if it's actually worth spending the money over say an air dam or something Z related. I have a 3G as of now. Thanks for the opinons.
  18. Curious as to what the significance of that underhood mural is.
  19. I got my TV up on a 7up crate, a mattress on the floor, and my desk is being held up by 2 by 4s. Total cost is probally in the $10 ballpark. Gets the job done.
  20. Haha have fun. Ask her if she likes Z cars. If she says no, then tell her she's fat.
  21. Are you refering to the circuit board that you swap with the stock one? How much are they and where can you get them?
  22. I'm planning on having my RB25 professionally tuned. It's running the stock ECU as of now and runs on the rich side. Going to upgrade to the Apexi Power FC in thefuture.
  23. My 240z is orange, With black fender mirrors and gunmetal 16" Pannasports. I would not have chosen orange but now that I have it it's actually kind of grown on me. In the past I would have chosen dark blue.
  24. Forgot to add, driver has to mention that this is for the Hybrid Z Free Sticker Contest and state the name they post with here in order to qualify.
