  1. I can't agree more with you guys. My first car was a '77 but was too rusty being it was from Chicago so I sold it and bought an 88' supra turbo. Loved the car to death but it was way to expensive to fix and keep up. sold it and ended up with a '95 J30. The car was comfy but was a tank! I had bought it to be my college car and had only a few weeks before college started so I needed something. Anyways, dad saw how sad I was and said to look for a clean Z and if I found one he'd lend me the money. I flew to Sacramento with dad to see a '78. The guy even met us at the airport It was sooo clean that we bought it on the spot, stopped at Pep Boys because the tires were shot, and drove her home to southern california. I had that Z for a little over a year but hit a wall with the smog Nazis because I wanted to go turbo. Sold it for my current '75 and am having a blast with it! I do want a 510 wagon but the Z is my project car and won't be sold unless there are extenuating circumstances out of my control. There's my story about my Z addiction! Cheers!
  2. Here are some more from tonight. I'm limited to my cell so they aren't super great
  3. Working on it haha I didn't realize people could post in build threads now, awesome!
  4. Get another shell. There are tons of Z's in socal that are much cleaner and still dirt cheap. Good luck!
  5. Ouch! I think you should go the same route. You aren't going to gain any ground clearance or anything and it looked wicked, so why not?
  6. Finally got around to getting the Z one color. Rustoleum is my friend
  7. Btw Braap, I love your project. I'm totally going to copy you someday...when I have money...lol
  8. Seems like the roundabout way to do it but to each his own.
  9. He was alluding to the fact that it doesn't appear that you searched the forum at all and that you might not get an answer out due to the fact that the answer is probably luring around the forum somewhere. Basically it comes down to you using the search button and doing some research before asking the question. Also, the RB into a Z31 subject has been covered as well. Our forum has tons of information...you just need to read up on it
  10. Ha, saw that the other day...looks clean from the pictures.
  11. Sounds wicked and I'm jealous of the gauges....sooo pretty
  12. Don't see to many members from Menifee! My parents are over in Temecula Are you going to switch over to a 5 speed?
  13. Hey guys. So its been a few months since I've updated the page. I'm hoping to update it more regularly in the future but who knows...I'm kinda lazy when it comes to this. Since February the car hasn't changed all that much due to the lack of funds and time. I have a set of 240 bumpers that I will be installing this month along with 240 turn signals and grill. I'm picking up the air dam in the next week or two from MSA and then need to either find pre-made brackets or make some of my own. I can't wait to get the type 2 airdam off Other than that, I need new tires for the rear. I'm thinking about going all out with new 002's and tires but I'm unsure at the moment. I may just get new tires for the rear since the front are newish and put the money towards picking up another dd. I've finally realized what so many others have in that trying to dd a Z and work on it at the same time is just not feasible. Regardless it will be nice to have a backup car with four doors and a big trunk. I'll be picking up a MX63 Cressida I've been going to Cars and Coffee quite often in the last couple months so I'll leave you guys with some pictures. Cheers! Here's a pic from a recent meet I went to in Fountain Valley, Ca And one from a meet over in Moreno Valley Here's my rear bumper haha. Representing Ratsun.net Don't worry, Hybridz is on the other quarter window haha.
  14. Sweet! Sounds like a good deal to me
  15. The reputation of that show is just going down the tubes. Why would you swap over the Ferrari suspension and mash it into a Z? Makes no sense. That and the whole bit of the one sided microphone....if you strapped a mic to one side of a V8 Mustang, it isn't going to sound like a Civic. As a guy who is studying in public relations, he better get a hold of this crisis before any more damage is done.
  16. There is no doubt that is a Z. The rear tail light panel and even the headlight switch are cues that I caught. Its pretty funny that people don't know what they're driving
