I have some old 275/40/17 Nitto drag radials that might be good for the sacrifice. or a couple old 225/60/14 tires mounted on some stock 14" 6 spoke wheels.

I didn't feel like taking the hub off the car to measure it for the Z31 hub but It looks to be 18mm. The 280z S30 hub is 25mm. Crappy picture but it gets the point across. Z31 hub:18mm. The 280z S30 hub: 25mm.

It was at Dreamcars.com's studio. They are just getting things rolling and this was kind of an opening of their place, I suppose. It was at 35 and walnut hill.

I honestly think you will spend just as much money, if not more, trying to adapt the Z33 trans to the car, as you would spending it on a T56.

There is only a board that goes over the hatch/trunk area in the 77-78 280z. The 76 has nothing other than a board that goes over the center of the full size spare.

I'm similar but different....... I can't explain the knife or the funnel really.

I have a very similar setup, but I dropped the tank below the rear deck so I could put a dzus fastened cover over the top of the cell and battery box. If the side of the cell aren't sealed well you will get exhuast fumes, but it sounds like you have it covered with the weatherstripping Idea. here's a pic of my setup for reference.... I also have the standard hatch carpet that goes over the entire area. My setup wasn't designed to be like this from the beginning so its a little cobbled together but it functions.

I'm fairly certain they came stock on the Iron cross wheels pictured above on that note..... Do you want to sell three of them??? I've got one that I managed to fit on to my bullitt wheels and now need three more.

fyi....The 79-93 mustang has a different bolt pattern than the s30. Wish I could make it down there.

I'm finally doing some little things to make the car more comfortable and easier to live with. I have an old panasonic head unit that came out before every head unit had an "Ipod" input standard. It just has the two RCA cables coming out of the back for an auxilary input. I've been using a wire that converts the two RCA cables into a 3.5mm jack. The wire just came up through the back of the shifter hole. It was functional but not very aesthetically pleasing. So...... I took a trip up to the local Radio shack and got a 3.5mm stereo jack or more commonly known as an "iPhone" input and proceeded to wire it to the RCA wire I already had. The result: I have an aux input on my center console that I can connect and disconnect to hide the wire. I put the jack right behind the shifter because the ashtray has proven to be an excellent iPhone holder. If I didn't skip so many songs on my play list I would have hidden it all in the center console's glovebox. I like having it in plain sight for easy access. Iphone plugged in with 1 foot wire..... and with everything stowed away..... I think it looks pretty good, except for the cracked center console. The install is really easy, just had to solder three wires and drill a hole.

Well, I had a mishap that was explained in the following thread...... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=155380 Basically my heater hose exploded..... Burned my foot and soaked my interior. As a result I tossed out my old interior bits, which consisted of some headliner scrap for "carpet" and scrap vinyl over the transmission tunnel. I'm still somewhat unsure of the route I plan on taking as far as carpet goes. Not sure where I want carpet, where I want vinyl, wait and save up for leather... etc... The possibilities are endless. In the interim, foam headliner material is a cheap substitute for carpet. ...and that's exactly what I did. For a grand total of $14, I picked up a couple yards of medium grey headliner and began cutting and gluing away. The result...... It at least gives the apperance of a complete interior while I mull over the details, and it is slightly quieter than with just sound deadening. And this shows the under dash lighting I installed. They come on when a door is opened and can be controlled by a seperate switch as well. The picture makes it look almost red but its actually orange and not as bright in person. More of the same material cut and glued to the inner center console... And I know it probably seems like I have taken a lot of pictures of the same wiring but I promise this is the last time... lol I rerouted the main battery wire to come out just above the frame rail next to the firewall and ziptied it to the main power wire that goes to the starter. I also re routed the fan wire out of site (smaller gauge red wire in previous pics). I think I am finally done with the wiring in this area .....

you can cut a hole in the 12 gallon plastic cell to add a sending unit. I think the stock empty fuel gauge is 80ohms empty and 10ohms full.. I'd do a search to be sure. Just put a cap on the other other pick up. With that said.... I regret changing out to a plastic fuel cell. I wish I still had the stock fuel door and the rest of the stock setup with a sump welded on. It does provide plenty of room for dual exhaust but I actually put my battery in that extra space instead.

because it exploded and about a gallon of scolding hot coolant came spraying into the interior of my car. I just replaced the heater core about a week ago and decided that the old hoses looked like they were in good enough condition.... I was obviously mistaken. Lesson learned. Pictures should explain the gist of it.... 30 year old heater hoses.... and the damage done to my foot.... Luckily I was actually wearing shoes and not flippy floppies Luckily I kept the the plugs for the intake and water pump heater outlets in the car. Popped them in on the side of the road, topped off the radiator and went on my way, but not before being eaten alive by mosquitoes. This is the only time I have been glad the car doesn't have carpet. Pulled out my soaking floor mats and popped out the floor pan plugs and all the coolant drained out.

Apparently I don't know my own strength... or rather the 30+ year old window crank fatigued enough to break off in my hand. lol The rest of these pics are just clarify a few things about my car that I get asked on occasion. I have a 14"Lx8"Wx5"H oval muffler mounted under my driveshaft. The resulting ground clearance is ~2 1/2".... yes, speed bumps suck and yes I have a large piece of scrap carpet on my garage floor. haha This info is obviously useless if you don't know the ride height of the car.... This is with stock style suspension with Tokico 1" Lowering Springs. Tires are ~25.5" tall. Wheels: 99-04 17x8 Mustang Bullitt wheels 5.72" backspace (3/8" spacer in rear) Tires(F):245/45/17 Sumitumo HTR Z III Tires®:245/45/17 Kumho Ecsta ASX Height at rear rocker.... Height at Front fender... Clearance from FRONT strut perch to wheel... (stock perch grinded down) Clearance between tire and REAR strut perch with 3/8" spacer....(~1/4" clearance)

Fuel cell (in this instance) is really just a fancy way of saying fuel tank. The "cells" we are talking about simply replace the stock fuel tank with a a tank of a different shape than the stock one. We are not talking about hydrogen fuel cell technology. Fuel cells vary in size and application.

You can roll DOWN a steep decline without an engine running. You can't roll UP a steep incline. Either way it is more of an issue of when you accelerate forward the gas sloshes to the back of the tank, If the fittings face forward and you are at 1/4 tank(maybe more) or less, you are likely to have starvation issues. If you mount it with the fittings towards the differential just be aware that you may experience fuel starvation while accelerating when your tank is low The cell you have will work fine for daily driver status. I have a similar cell with the fittings hanging down below the valance and while it is not ideal it does the job for now and while the Z isn't my sole mode of transportation, I have put over 8000 miles on it in the past year. I fully plan to install a cell with a bladder and what not but its not in the cards at this moment.
