  1. check out car-part.com if you haven't already. It might narrow down your search a little bit.
  2. my Spanish is a little rusty but i managed to register and get this picture........
  3. Best route is at least welding in patches over the indentions. Bondo "caked in" is sure to crack over time. If I were to do it again, I would cut out the entire panel and just weld in a new piece of sheet metal.
  4. Canada celebrates thanksgiving in early October.
  5. Driver 3 had a car very similar to a Z. They didn't use real name brand cars in the game but it closely resembles one.
  6. Those are the fusible links. Pretty much all the electircal power in the car is distributed through those wires. It can be replaced with a maxi fuse block to give a cleaner appearance though. http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/maxifuse.htm
  7. This guy is selling both sides with matching companion flanges. I'm not sure which stub axles are currently in your car. But the 280z stubs are stronger than the 240z stubs. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=141112
  8. That white block is a ballast resistor. You shouldn't need it depending on what ignition/coil system you are going to use. The Small black box, with the red and green wire, is a terminal block. I honestly don't remember its purpose, but I'm 99% sure I didn't need it or the wires coming out of it when I performed my swap.
  9. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=140198 It looks like he ran a 13.3 and then broke. He's running an R160 out of a subaru. That may have contributed to the differential failure.
  10. I think he actually finished the swap. I seem to recall him posting about taking it to the track and breaking the rear end after a couple runs. I don't think there have been any new pics though.
  11. I like the second pic better. The first one just seems too busy to me. The two vertical lines give it a subtle accent that I think works well. Kevin
  12. Sounds amazing and looks justs as good. Kevin
  13. Looks great! Congrats on finally getting it home. Kevin
  14. I have a 5x8x14 on my car. Its magnflow muffler with a center 3" in/center out with a 4 inch tip. Here's a pic. You can kind of see where the muffler ends right at the back of the tire. And here is one from the rear... I can take a better picture if you want. Thats the best I have right now on the computer. Kevin
  15. Its supposed to be shorter and a couple hundred pounds lighter. But we will see when the full specs come out. Kevin
  16. There is a guy that i see every once in a while locally that has a center console out of a 80's camaro in his 240z. Not exactly modern but different and he said it went in nearly perfectly with minor modifications. Kevin
  17. Just thought this was kind of cool http://jalopnik.com/5071584/how-about-a-v12+powered-datsun-240z How About A V12-Powered Datsun 240Z? We'll admit that it may well be impossible to top the Austin-Healey 100 with supercharged Jaguar V12 in the Insane Sports Car Engine Swap department, but we still think putting a Jaguar V12 in this Z was a fine idea. The seller doesn't provide a lot of info about it (we'd like to know more than just "chev 6 speed") but it looks like the swap was done with a minimum of duct tape. And all for just $9,000 Canadian! galleryPost('V12240Z', 3, 'Jaguar V12 In A 1971 Datsun 240Z'); Jaguar V12 In A 1971 Datsun 240Z http://jalopnik.com/5067927/irishman-modernizes-classic-datsun-260z-hoping-to-start-new-stereotype Irishman Modernizes Classic Datsun 260Z, Hoping To Start New Stereotype Politicians and celebrities routinely get into trouble for referring to a certain stereotype about Irish individuals and inebriation; may this Nissan/Datsun 260Z 2+2 from the Emerald Isle start a new stereotype about Irishmen and tastefully modified automobiles. What began as tinkering with a navy blue Z ended up with a gray beast that captures the essential design elements of the Z fused with an aggressive appearance package. Featured over at the ZClub forum, Jay28's Z makes us want to start trolling Craigslist for one of our own. 18. Agreed... I think I have even read that a couple people have broken the stock halfshafts with the stock l28 but I may be mistaken. Power doesn't necessarily break half shafts... but it sure does help:biggrin:. I haven't broken one..... yet. But I am planning on an upgrade as well. Kevin
  19. They usually start breaking when you get traction at 300+rwhp. I believe he was running slicks when he demolished that halfshaft. Kevin
  20. The front and rear wheel centers are facing in opposite directions. The wheels are directional, so the rear wheels appear to be switched. Kevin
  21. Hahaha.... I did pretty much the same thing. I only had to use one penny though and I jb welded it in place. Got to love back yard "ingnearin." Kevin
  22. Perhaps the gentleman was just a nervous flier and seemed flustered for that reason. I assume Tony would have detected this if it were actually true but just a suggestion. Who hasn't had one of those "duh" moments though? Maybe not something as simple as a seatbelt though. haha Kevin
  23. That looks good. Now I'm gonna need coilovers, another set of wheels, camber plates, sectioned struts, and then....... Stop giving me ideas. I've already got enough stuff to spend money on. haha Kevin
  24. I might be changing out my wheels to these....... 18x10 rear 295/35/18 18x9 front 275/35/18 I just borrowed these off of my brothers mustang for a test fitting and I know the tires were on the wrong side. If i use these wheels I would definitely need zg flares and either a larger spacer in the rear or coilovers. more pics..... http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z15/onebadass280z/black%20wheels/ Kevin
  25. Its was actually a z car junkyard. All Z car specialist in fort worth. I don't know if he usually sells whole junk cars, but he did when I got mine 5 years ago. Kevin
