  1. Now I need to figure out what just to do with it... I got one of these http://www.giovannibikes.com/bikeparts.php?view=pocket_bike_parts but didn't pay that price for it Here in Dubai they have whats called a "Dragon Mart" which is basically a HUGE mall that sells Chinese....stuff. They have basically everything and more! So when I came across this for 40 bucks I just HAD to have one. For another 6 bucks I got a new chain, sprocket and and etra clutch!!!! So, now, once i get it home, I get to figure out just what to do with it? I have a old power wheels jeep in the attic, maybe it can be a new host? I'm thinking this will be as good a reason as any other to finally buy a welder. Not that I'll have ANY time to mess with it or the motor. So basically I'm posting to get idea's from you guy's, winner get's first ride.
  2. HS30-H, Seems you have a deep wealth of knowledge pertaining to the Z's racing hearagite, which I both appretiate and enjoy! Id like to learn more and your posts have shared some stuff I've not run across before. olderthanme's post is a contribution to the conversation here, if not for you, at least for me. olderthame's additions were also some pics I've not seen before. He's even got a couple of cool vintage Z race video's posted else where. Don't be the guy that people look up, to only to shoo them away when spoken to.
  3. Good idea, I've been kicking around the same thing. I kind of like the original a bit better. Maybe replace the fish/backwards S things on the shield w/ the Initials you mentioned, in script or a font that would resemble those shapes. (Not sure what those are). Keep us posted. Here's mine http://bellsouthpwp.net/g/m/gmgreer/crest5.gif
  4. I have to give it to you Phill! I don't know what's funnier, that you did it, or that you admitted it!
  5. Very nice, I'd like to see more! Edit: Nice website!
  6. Would the low torque numbers hurt streetability, OR, would getting into the upper power band make up for it? Maybe 1, 2 very low gears to get you off the line the rest could be a bit more spaced out. Also, the Z is alot heavier than the cars they picture installing them into on that site.
  7. Thank YOU for sticking it up there in the first place! Any back ground info? Any others more like it??? I thought it was interesting how the fluid moved inside the car. Sweeping across the floor and back up to the main cabin, READ moving any hint of gas vapors to your head area.
  8. That makes sence AKWIKZ. Can you pull it apart and visually inspect anything? I'm interested in how this works out.
  9. I thought maybe some video's of our Z's at speed, as well as others, could get discussion and idea's going! I just happend to run across these two today on Google Video. I think we can use them, or at least the 2nd one to discuss works/doesn't work treatments. Not sure this has ANY bearing or not but check out the first 10 seconds of this video... Again, not sure if this helps, but look at the fairly extensive mods on this car, towards the end of the clip, when the car is at speed, the hood wants to RIP OFF! (posted by our own olderthanme) EDIT 2nd Link Fixed,
  10. CLEAN car!!! Man how many hours are in that paint?
  11. bidding ended...can't see anything now?
  12. GREAT PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That works car is what I thing I have been searching for! I has the period race car look and probably decent aero kit attached. Between this and the new wind-tunell results, I'm in Aero parts overload but this is great! Where did you come across these pics? I REALLY DIG that "WORKS" front inlet.
  13. I'm trying to keep up, but alot of this is over my head. I'll keep reading untill it starts to make sence... Are there any close up pics of Roddy's hood access pannells? They look like vents.
  14. That was a great way to start my day today!! Thanks! Hilarious
  15. Sorry, guess I missed that! I'm positive you won't have any issues then. My car sat w/ out floors for over a month, sitting on the front and rear x-members. My experience was that the Doors always stayed the same. I never measured the gaps but there was never had any change in the way they closed durring or after the procedure, and I checked them OFTEN! Remember to check Pete's website for some really good detailed drawings.
  16. Do any of the 148 pics have a better shot of it?
  17. I'm guessing the motor and trans are in the car? If so, it'd be carefull but you can probably stick them under the front engine x-memeber for the front. I did the exact same thing you did, cut the floors OUT and stuck in sub-frame connectors and floors all at once. I posted a thread detailing most of the work with some picutures etc... When I did it, the interior and all mechanicals were OUT of the car, so it may be a bit different, but I didn't have any sagging issues using the points in the rear you are using, and the front point i mentioned. Do a quick search on my user Id and go back about 3 years in this sub-forum, should see my posts. I used Pete Parasska's drawings from his site as inspiration.
  18. I never really liked my 4 spd for the street, like GrayZee stated 1st was low and 4th kept the revs up on the highway. I have not driven a 5 speed I6 Z either. Is the S30 5spd a T-5? If so then it's very upgradable and can hold alot more power than the old 4. You can change the internal gearing etc. relitivly cheaply.
  19. Yorgee, That thing turned out nice! I rember that like 5 minutes after I sold my original that I wish I hadn't just in case. Yours has me considering trying the same thing. On the burgers, you could hinge the bottom and use your spare to hold the coals. That might win you something at the next car show lol
  20. I'm comfortable that w/ the admin's involved, this will be done right. That said, I can't wait to see the data! I can't imagine the work involved durring the runs. Compiling that information is going to take 10 times the work!! If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I am a bit of a data hound. Not really a programmer or anything like that, but I'm pretty good and analyzing and crunching numbers.
