  1. thats kind of a suck ass b-day present! EDIT: (the Wasps) Happy b-day, so only 10 more years till I'm dead
  2. All I can is that if you want 4 great spots for your Z to sit on jackstand for years at a time with no issues w/ frame or body tweaking....Do Pete's set up.
  3. Take it apart and put it back together, seems to work for me...that's what I do when I can't figure something out
  4. Could there be a more difficult decision??? Sheesh 1. Ruf 911 "yellow bird" 2. Toyota 2000 coupe 3. 427 Cobra (alum body) 4. GT40 or Pantera (new or old for both) 5. Concept Ford Lightning w/ the SUPER COOLER to haul stuff...
  5. Cool, thanks for the input. Let us know if it keeps you happy!
  6. I love those shorty Z's! I'll see if i can dig some pics of my car in ONE PC
  7. Grumpy, just FYI the Norther Tool shelving that dmanzo57 posted looks exaclty like what SAM's Wholesale has, but their price looks even better, depending on shelving.
  8. Congrats on doing it in the STREET! and by yourself. I rebuilt and replaced the 2.0 in my Isuzu Trooper when I was about that age, all alone, although in my mom's garage not in the street! I still rememer how good it felt when everything was back together and it fired right up! Too cool!
  9. BTW your site rocks! Very clean pics and your commentary had me rolling!!!
  10. All great! Looking for more V8 specific stuff hence the You guys get the mouse refrence right? I know Mikelly, SuperDan, and PParaska do!
  11. SAM's Club has the steel shelving units you mention Grumpy. $169.00 for a 6' tall unit if i remember. I think it had steel grating for the shelving spances. Looked well made.
  12. Have a couple I'd like to use, feel free to do so as well, if your not in OK NEZUMIZ (Mouse in Japanese)+Z CUBEZ BIGCUBZ Others to fit the V8 Z?
  13. It's been on my must have list since I saw one in DOLOMITE... Good eye, if they aren't they are darn close!!
  14. AG, i think Davy was refering to the Spark Plug wires only... Davy, I'll let you know how that goes
  15. Haven't seen AUX post in a while? It's tough to have a mostly finished project you can't get the steam up to finish! Hang in there and get it done when you get it done... EDIT, Yes I did see AUX's Posts above...
  16. Man, they worked the crap right out of that COMMIE sedan didn't they? Sweet car, I'd drive it!
  17. Red wires are a good thought, but what about the loom for the rest of the wiring. That jumbled mess in the background of one of the pics. I'm trying to decide on a grey similar to the valve covers, or just plain black. Btw, my wife thinks I'm putting WAY too much thought into this particular aspect of the build, it's completly irrelivant to her that the engine bay look nice. Anyone else?
  18. Ok so here's the short version... Finished up HTOB plumbing!! Kicked A$$!! She's in!! Here's the rest of the story, took us about an hour and a half to get it lined up so we could get the bolts started through the mounts. I didn't slot my holes, didn't like the thought of it so it took a while but everything is square now http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/billz260/IMG_0009.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/billz260/IMG_0012.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/billz260/IMG_0017.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/billz260/IMG_0022-1.jpg
  19. Well, it was an experiment that went well I thought. Not too much fresca, just maybe like 1/5th.... where is this post going??? I plan on having pics posted tonight!
  20. Probably too much drama for most of you! The motor and trans are in!!!! What a great feeling. If any of you have been folowing I ran into about every possible issue w/ the T5 end of my conversion. But, after much grief, it's in the car! I'll post some pics this week, when I get them off the camera. What's left to do...lots of loose ends to complete now that the engine and trans are in, wiring, fuel plumbing, cooling plumbing, driveshaft, fluid checks and all that other stuff. Hoping to get it rolling soon. My job will dictate how much time I actually get to work on it but it's moving faster than ever now and I hope by the next local Z show, it'll be running. I am really thankful to have this place called HybridZ.org to vent, get others insight and solutions to my car woes! Cheers! (Currently some shiraz and fresca to help w/ all the bruises and cuts I got on Saturday! Don' laugh till you try it! )
