  1. wasnt someone on this forum offering carbon fiber door panels for like $480ish?? http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105320&highlight=fiberglass+door+panels&page=13
  2. observe the took hook coming out of the hood
  3. lol i loosened up and removed the gland nut and with a gentle pull, out came the insert!
  4. I too am curious if you purchased those plates with holes, or without
  5. *cough* upgrade the turbo, install Z32 transmission *cough*
  6. thanks for the info Alan! For $1,600 I would hate to spend the money on uncomfortable seats.. for that amount of money I can get some super nice, adjustable, FIA approved Sparco or Recaro seats!!
  7. you can run a copper head gasket but you need to have the block o-ringed from my understanding.
  8. Im considering getting ZG flares or even the IMSA flares and I am wondering how the hell I am going to fill in the gap!! (BIG difference between the two.. i know i know) I can do one of two things.. 1) get some super expensive wheels with expensive tires -or- 2) add wheel spacers I've noticed a lot of people shiver and run away from the thought of wheel spacers... why is that?! Super wide tires and wheels would be nice, but for a road car I dont need 375 tires and 10" wide wheels.. but I love the look of well done flares!!
  9. how the hell did he connect the axles so quickly? wow
  10. my headlights were improperly wired and I melted the wires and blew the fuse.. It was about 2am and all the parts stores were closed.. so I went to the grocery store and bought an electrical extension cord, I cut the plug off and wired the lights to the battery directly till I could get home. it worked This reminds me of a recent WRC event where the throttle linkage was broken so the driver used the co-drivers shoe lace and hooked it up to the throttle to continue racing. now thats ingenuity!
  11. interesting launch.. are you bouncing off the rev limiter, dumping the clutch as the car launches, then letting off on the gas and then applying full throttle again?! sounds like it from the audio =/
  12. Anyone looked into these seats before??! I am looking for more supportive "bucket" seats but I am also trying to have the car look fairly stock!!! Corbeau offers these Classic seats for about $300 plus free shipping for orders over $300 =) I would buy two though.
  13. lol.. i have such a strong suspicion that a proper PCV setup will fix Mayolives issue!!
  14. wow!! those are excellent numbers!! possibly the highest documented on an L series?! I'm sure this has been covered on this forum before.. but would you be willing to describe what is necessary to convert your Z to ethonal?!
  15. I started a thread titled L series - Positive Crank Case Pressure, too much http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=121590&highlight=Positive+Crank+Case+Pressure read me!! Here is what I have concluded with my L28 turbo.. when I am not running a PCV setup.. (ie open valve cover breather and open crank case breather) there is too much pressure in the crank case.. there is so much pressure, this stops the oil from draining out of the turbo into the pan. because of this, the oil backs out of the oil seals and burns in the exhaust!! I ran the car for months without this issue.. but one day it just appeared. I fixed this problem by adding a PCV setup connected to the intake. If you have a catch can, connect it to a vacuum source. I have a strong strong strong feeling this is your problem.
  16. Mayo what are you running in regards to a PCV setup?! The residue in the downpipe is due to the oil being burned in the exhaust! I really don't think its necessary to change the seals! I mean its a good thing to do while your at it, but why mess with something that works fine?!
  17. i had the SAME problem.. I had to improve on the PCV system a bit.. but that solved all of my problems!
  18. hmm this is an interesting option! how did you guys mount the calipers? did you have a shop machine them or did you built the caliper mounts from spare scrap?!
  19. the part number is on the box .. on the picture I posted!! 32702-02G17
