Actually if you had looked at the other video it says 700hp Also everyone's definition of hacked could mean different things, I mean come on when I think of a Z on a 4x4 frame that seems "hacked" to me but like I said it's different for everyone. Some people may think your "hacking" a series 1 to put in a R34 Skyline Drivetrain.

I say you get a parts car, replace the panel, keep all the parts you want, and sell the rest to pay for a body kit or upgrades. I just recently bought a parts car and I can say it is awesome being able to have most of the parts you need available to you and plus you can sell stuff to make a profit.

I have owned my Z for almost 3 years now next month. I also just recently bought a 76' 2+2 which I might retitle due to the lack of rust compared to my 75'. Looking forward to getting my license in june, and I just added up a lot of my spare parts in cost and I might be able to get 2050 bucks out of all of it! So today is a good day.

Now I wish my family hadn't moved away from Missouri three years ago. here in Colorado I'm lucky to find maybe one a month at the junkyard and usually its stripped bare. Maybe they have some 2+2 interior parts that are in good condition.

I just bought a 76 Parts car with a Aftermarket t-top sunroof and it doesn't leak and the guy I bought it from has been letting it sit outside all winter and no signs of leaks since then or when I have had it. Besides nothing a little RTV sealant couldn't fix, but back to the Targa idea I think it sounds awesome I have even thought of doing a rag top on a 2+2 since it has a slightly longer roof and it could be made to retain most of the roof structure.

My not so epic Z build, with epic time limit

+1 If you look at the clearance from the back of the quarter panel to the tire it is about the same only the front is different, So probably just a bad repair job. -
Cant get brake pads to fit
19762802+2 replied to gunskill's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I have messed around with a caliper like that, a 240sx, which is basically the same and the brake pads slide along two pins and I know if you don't pry those apart even if the piston is fully retracted it won't fit. So check to see if your brake pads are as far apart as they can be along those pins. On my calipers they like to slide together when they are off the rotor so you have to spread them before you can put them on. -

I saw a good deal on craigslist and just couldn't pass it up for 350 bucks. The guy who I bought it from got it from a police chief who got it from a towing company and when he moved gave it to the seller. The guy raced it for awhile then used it for parts for a 260z, he only took out the engine and the diff. The car is almost rust free just some on the rear quarters underneath otherwise in pretty good condition. It has a crappy paint job and will be redone, The guy said that it ran when the engine was in it and on fuel injection so this will be nice to pass smog. The car doesn't have a title it was deemed "crushed" by the state (Colorado) but I got a bill of sale and I might be able to apply for a title using that. The car I do have is pretty rusty but otherwise in good condition, so if I can title the new Datsun I bought I will be swapping the L28 over from the rusty car. The car does have a sunroof and its an automatic but I don't mind for now I may change it later but I like sunroofs. I also have some parts that came with the car like CV axles and a Coupe drive shaft that I won't use including a Coupe Driver side window and off white door panel and some other stuff so PM me if interested. Anyways I hope to have one of the cars on the road this summer and I can't wait to finally have some driving experience in a Z, I plan on just running the stock EFI(came with the new Z)and the stock L28 with atleast a Header. Nothing too fancy until after highschool and college when I get bored and need something to do . Here are some pictures.

You should post a scan of that page about the 2+2's thats in the last picture haha but lucky find, thats pretty cool that you found the original manual.

+1 on cleaning electrical connections.

What year and type Zx since there is a 280zx and a 300zx and a few years between might be helpful. Otherwise if you don't daily drive your car might as well take the dash out and see if it would work, you would probably have to build a custom frame. Like everyone says if you have the time, money, and skills why not?

I wonder if that is the Original 303 green it looks like it. If you wanna check its near the radiator on the right side and will say the paint code. Edit: Nevermind looked back at your pictures and it looks like the decal for the paint code isn't there.

Maybe you could find or had made a 5 lug to 4 lug adapter, at least it would be cheaper then having rims made. Edit: found you some, the picture isn't the actual adapter but it should be the right kind if your adapting a 5x114.3 to a 4x114.3. http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Adapter_5_Lug_4_5_To_4_Lug_4_5_p/5450-4450.htm

The 2+2 and the coupe are only different from past the firewall to the back otherwise the front is the same.

There is some place in denver I have been to I can't remember but it was a HUGE flea market. You can rent out lots I believe and sell whatever you want and I'm sure there was some stolen stuff there. The radio I bought was probably stolen but I'm not sure anyways I will research the name of the place to see what I can get. Mile High Marketplace on I76 and 88th Ave. When I went there the place seemed shady to me there were lots of latino shops, But there was also lots of cool stuff great place to get any kind of tools you need. In the back there are more lots that are rented out in the front are the more serious vendors. Also they look exactly like the kind of people you see there lots of cowboy kind of people.

What wheels are these (photo attached)
19762802+2 replied to s_dudinski's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I have some rims just like these except the lip isn't smooth it has a small step for example, -
1990 mitsubishi Eclipise GS seats work also, they are fairly easy to install you can either drill some holes and use the rails that go with the seats(they don't go back all the way because the bottom hits the rear 280z seat rail support). You can also modifiy it with some drilling to fit the stock Z rails. There is a few inches of room for your head but if your taller then 6 foot its not gonna be enough but otherwise they are comfy and look pretty close to stock.

Crazyoctopus 1972 240z build up (long first post)
19762802+2 replied to crazyoctopus's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
I love the Diamond racing wheels, how much did they cost you? They look awesome if I end up buying them I will probably get 16x10 with the same offset as yours.
