    I was actually thinkin more along the lines of slightly stronger than swimming pool strength acidity. Otherwise the temptation to run the process on my mother in law would be way to great.

    I'm thinkin giant fiberglass tub with fittings to hook a pump to circulate the sodium bicarbonate/water solution, hooked up directly to a 220v, then another tub right next to that, same size, containing an acid to remove all the black leftover stuff. I think with the liquid in motion it would take a lot less time. I also know that I will probably never do this, but it's fun to think about.

    Right on, I haven't decided exactly where the best place to meet up. Hopin that I can get some members from SDakota, Montana, and Minnesota for a bigger turnout. I figure that if it's not that many people I can BBQ, if there's a bunch then we can hit a resturant.

    I just got off work and haven't decided whether or not I feel like going to bed. I'm not even sure how I ended up looking at this thread, much less noticing how old it is........ I need to sleep.

    Hey that all depends on the size and shape of the bolts......and of course whether or not you want it to run. If drive-ability is not your primary concern, I recommend duct tape, should make for a fairly cheap install.

    Search function will be your best friend. After that, a very hefty bank account to fund this project(btw its already been done, some shop in Japan). You're gonna have to do a LOT of custom fab work, good luck.

    You should be able to call up your local PD or CHP office and they are always more than willing to tell you any law. CHP told me that if they could hear the stereo in my car from a block away I would definately be getting a ticket.

    It really is, no I'm trying to figure out how to build a 20' long, 10' wide, and 6' deep tub so that I can dip my whole car in it.............

    You understand incorrectly, my 79 does not have power steering, hell it doesnt have power anything. I'm not sure about the later years, but power anything was all an option.

    this is a good one, cause my 79 is almost doin the same thing. Difference is, it never drops to 0, and I'm runnin with Castrol GTX 5w-30 high mileage. It seems to just be slight fluctuation and doesn't affect performance.....I don't think.

    Good point on the corrosion spray, the stuff I used was purple though. And I only sprayed it on the posts, didn't want my gold terminals to be covered in purple goop. Remember, it's looks over function. Would you rather have an ugly woman who can cook or a smokin hot woman who can't???

    Most teminals have an egress where the insulation can be inserted without compromising connection, heat shrink should do the trick though. Is it strange that I am the only person who has advice on this??

    Yes, if you can't get gold, the brass are a bit better, worth the couple extra bucks anyway. Solder/clamp will keep a better connection(or so they say) the ones I made were just the clamp type and they work just fine. Just make sure that the wire insulation goes all the way up to, if not in to the terminal, otherwise you're askin for bad things to happen. If the snow ever melts, I'll take a pic of mine and send it to you so you can see what I mean.

    Ok trying not to jump off topic, but....to the people who have no distributer, at least not in the factory location, what did you do and how did you do it, that makes the engine bay look soooooo much cleaner.

    I have two questions for anyone that can answer them for me. 1. If it takes 10 lbs of black powder stuffed up the backside of a bull to blow its horns off, how hard does a chicken have to fart to break a 2X4? 2. What did fish smell like before women started swimming? I can't seem to find anyone who can answer these questions and it's driving me nuts....... ***disclaimer**** I should rarely be taken seriously.
