  1. Stupid me of course you use your thumb, the louder the fart the higher the compression right. If they all sound the same then it's all good. I do know how to use the search function, but at 4 in the morning after an 11 hour shift at work, it's just too much Chuck
  2. Go ahead and buy the harbor freight kit, just don't use it and it should last awhile
  3. I see all kinds of people talking about doing compression testing, my question is, how do you test your compression??? I need to do so on my cars
  4. That comic strip is great, I wish my cool face was as good as that...
  5. I've owned my S130 for 2 years now and probably only driven it for 3 hours. I love the Zcar and don't even think about the money that I've dumped into it in the past. I know the day that I take it out and take that 100mph road trip back to cali will make every penny more than worth it. I also have the support of my fathers family, every one of them a Z fanatic. It's where I got my love of the Z from and they have helped me out with more parts than I can imagine. If you have lost the passion, maybe it's time to either move on, or put your Z on the back burner until that love affair rekindles itself.
  6. Oh thats so much better, no more clicky clicky
  7. Try autozone, got mine there and if I remember it was fairly cheap. Like $50 which wasn't too bad I don't think.
  8. I read that other post for this car, and I know for a fact that the hondata system works wonders. At least it did on my 02 civic before I decided again that I hate front wheel drive and sold it after owning it 2 months. These little econo boxes can perform like no other for the comparative price. I'll take a large pepperoni and some cheezy bread.
  9. If I knew how to weld, I would weld brackets on and bolt everything together so that when/if you ever need to replace anything, it's unboltable
  10. That is a very nice chassis straightening device, I must have 10 of those layin in my shed.
  11. If you're serious about slimming down your stable, I'll take that 83 off your hands. For free even, then you won't have to worry about it anymore. See what a nice guy I am.
  12. I can't say I'm a sharp uzer, but I did replace my leaky 30 year old filler hose with stainless flex tubing that I got at an auto parts store for radiator hose. Fit quite nicely I must say, now I gotta figure out how to do the rest.
  13. I just knew that if I said my computer was slow that someone would make that crack. However I know my computer is fast, it's the operator that I'm worried about.
  14. are you sure it's the computer thats slow???
  15. Can I ask what wheels are those and where did you get them???? Oh, and your car is drop dead sexy.
  16. Oh man that is just rednecky greatness
  17. Yeah, the old way was a bit better, this extra clicking is wearing out my mouse.
  18. Ummmmmmm.......Thats what air ratchets were made for.......and mechanics. I don't have the brainpower to do all this thinking anymore
  19. So.....Feel like doin some work on my brakes????
  20. I'm just waiting for the inevitable "I got drunk at a party and you'll never guess what happened on the way home." situation.
  21. I was actually thinkin about the single wiper from my buddies 96 Mercedes E320. I know that he'll wreck it soon enough and then I can get the whole deal for free. Wasn't sure how it would look on my S130 but my wiper motors are going bad anyway.
  22. hrmmm.......I just so happen to know a machinist's shop who happens to have been stockpiling Crane blanks for the last 6 months. Does a bunch of custom grinds for hot rodders. Drag that Crane is no more.
  23. Drove down to look at that car today. Found a pile of rust. It turns out that he let the car sit under a pile of snow until thursday when I talked to him. He dug it out, hitting it with a shovel eleventy-million times. When he parked it, he left the passenger window open about 2 inches, interior ruined. Snowflake wheels, rusted and the passenger rear had a notch where "his dad" hit a curb. Motor, covered in oil from "a small leak" that he couldn't find. I decided that it was not worth what he wanted, if I want a rusty, not running S130, I've already got 1 in my driveway. Sorry guys Chuck
  24. Makes me wonder about my oiling system, and whether or not I could make that motor work in my Z.........
