  1. That was great, I think I have microsoft's version of that thing, they call it a 360
  2. I'm assuming that this is again for the S30 crowd, when is anyone ever gonna show some love to the S130's? It turns out that marble sized hail is not friendly to the top of my Z.
  3. That was pretty awesome, however I think I like Spaceballs better.
  4. I'll probably catch flack for this but I actually like the f n f series. I have this strange obsession with cars, all cars, and even though I know that these movies are nothing but hollywood fantasy, it's still fun. Stupid thing about this though, I will buy a movie just because it has a cool car on the cover, ended up with some retarded indie film that had an old mustang on the cover. The wife likes that movie though. I'm happy that the Z is getting some representation, hopefully someone will see that and start producing some aftermarket support for us.
  5. I used a hex crimper and heat shrink. 2 years of use and no problems yet.
  6. Granted, superduner does awesome work, but if I pay him to make my cover shiny, where can I brag that I did all the work myself. Since I bought the car, the most that anyone else has touched it was I had a buddy help me change the master cylinder while we had beer and barbeque. But back to my question, will my method work. I have already started and since I have a spare cover I can't really screw anything up.
  7. Ha ha, I told my mechanic that I either want hemi orange or hi po yellow when I get it to him for the rebuild. I plan on painting the bay black and polishing everything else so that I will have one massive contrast under the hood. And yes, that chrysler blue looks about the closest.
  8. I'm just gonna run this by since it's a polishing thread, I planned on using 1000 grit sandpaper to remove blemishes, then one of those stupid polishing balls you attach to a drill with some aluminum polish to make it shiny. I already dipped the V-cover in parts cleaner to remove the oil and gunk, dremeled away the casting(?) marks, and smoothed away all the really rough stuff. I figure that my idea will work, but am starting to have doubts after seeing the work superduner is doing. Has anyone else tried the method that I am using or am I dooming myself to failure??
  9. It must be nice to live in a place where "toys" are readily available, oh wait, that's part of why I moved to North Dakota. If you don't own and know how to use a gun here, people look at you like you're from California. Sure am glad my grandpa collected cars and guns when he was alive, and I was his favorite relative.
  10. Oh if only I had a garage right now, I woulda spent all winter making my car road worthy instead of parking it on cinder blocks under a tarp. I had my sister in law find me a place before I moved up here, all I wanted was a garage, and she was too lazy to actually look around.
  11. I am going to practice my jedi mind tricks. "You want to give me that car." Did it work???
  12. I just did a minor rasterbation of the 10th aniv. black and gold poster. Only 4 by 5 sheets, but I have no idea where I am going to put it. Silly me
  13. Now that is nifty, my only problem is that when I get "chrome" paint, I tend to go a little overboard and paint everything. But this looks like I could put it to some good use.
  14. I would too, just its been raining all freakin day here, where's the sunshine when I need it.
  15. Have you tried different or better quality belts? IMO if your belt is stretching I wouldn't think it would be burning up.
  16. The biggest that I've found isn't all that big, but it only holds 4 fuses, I was hoping to find one that holds 6 fuses so I can wire up my system at the same time.
  17. I really need to go buy that fuse block so I can get rid of the stupid links.
  18. I have a 79 280zx, whenever I accelerate under power i.e. fast takeoff, I get a loud clunk from the rear of the car. At first I thought it might be squatting and bottoming out, but had a buddy watch and he said it looked stable. The car is stock-ish however I haven't done anything to the suspension, I believe that the PO replaced the shocks/struts about 10/15 years ago, not completely sure on that. I want to get this car mechanically sound before I do any major modifying to it and so far underhood will be perfect after I replace the harmonic balancer. So now my problem is that I need to figure out why I clunk. I tried a search and really didn't get any results. If anybody has any advice or ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chuck
  19. A straight buddy of mine has an MX5 Miata and that little thing is quick. He even got rid of some of the stigma by puttin a body kit on it and painting it HEMI orange.
  20. AHA, solution.....Sell the macbook(garbage anyway) get a desktop PC, and there you go, problem solved. I'm sure you could get at least fifty cents for the mackbook. Sorry, I hate macs
  21. You mean to tell me that there's a forum where I can get information on how to turn my old datsun into a performance monster??? Whodathunkit?
  22. So don't sell it, consider it an investment in sanity. What do you need more, the money now, or the sanity in a couple of years?? I thought about selling my Z, but realized that I would never be able to forgive myself if I did, so instead I sold my paintball gun. Got the money I needed, and kept my car, and my sanity.
  23. A very good question was posted, what in the world do we do with 5 fusible links. I can't find a block that handles 5, only 4, getting frustrated here. Any suggestions
