  1. hmmmm, I have a 79 s130 and if I'm not mistaken, it's lighter in factory form than any other z in factory form, I however have gutted the interior and all that jazz and am seriously thinking of dropping a 351 windsor in there to see what it does. Hoping to show all the vette owners around here a thing or 2
  2. I believe that you can use the factory springs, it's not my area of expertise but I don't really see why not
  3. Ok I know I'm reviving a dead thread here, but I don't care, I really want to know how this interior ended up turning out. I have pulled eleventy bazillion ideas out of this thread alone.
  4. Ok so I was doing some investigating today, it seems as though there are 2 fuel pressure regulators on my car. The normal one under the hood attached to the fuel rail, then what seems to be another one directly after the fuel pump. once again i am stumped
  5. Thanks Roger, a buddy and I actually talked about doing just that this weekend to find out exactly where the problem is.
  6. Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I have been thinking about :gasp: lambo doors. Not the cheap ricer style, more full 90 degree that slide forward before you open them. The doors are so long on the s130 that finding a spot that my rather large self can open the door enough to get out is nearly impossible. Gullwing would look incredibly cool, but the fabrication would be ridiculous. I'm going to talk to my welder/fabricator and see what he thinks....
  7. Wow, very nice work and very very nice find. Isn't it always fun finding the work that "technicians" have done...
  8. Thanks guys, I needed a good laugh. My 79 N/A S130 has plenty of wig-wag. Sure it's caused by shot bushings and probably semi-trailing arms. All that matters is that we love our Datsuns and pass that love on.
  9. The osmosis isn't working.......ceiling, no good...under the pillow, no good. Guess I'll just have to read the frikkin thing
  10. IMO this is a very good thread, I am trying to get my 79 s130 going good and planned on removing all the emissions crap just cause I can...
  11. Wow, I'm glad I learned about this before I shattered my little stupid plastic plug/switch switchers.
  12. So based on me weighing in at 260, my CG is shifter height somewhere in the passenger seat?? lmfao
  13. So on my 79 s130, I've always had problems with the idle, fluctuated and died. Today I decided to start pulling vacuum lines to check for suction. The first one I pulled was to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and now the car runs better than it ever has. This leaves me guessing that the FPR is clogged somehow, but why would it run even better without the vacuum? I am very confused and would appreciate any wisdom you wish to share. PS if you tell me to search.....been there done that Thanks, Chuck
  14. I recently bought and installed the powerforce damper for my 79 and they failed to mention that the groove is narrower than stock and that you need a belt that is an inch shorter, other than that I am super happy
  15. I got 2 questions, first, whats with the dots under my name, second, whats the bar that says warn status?
  16. Trying to find a job

  17. Ok, so far I like the new setup, I use chrome and it loaded in hyperspeed. It'll take me a couple of weeks to figure out how to navigate and mess around, but great work
  18. I think I'll flood the site with new posts and pictures early in the mornin just to spice things up a little bit......
  19. Why did I have to google harlequin icthyuckness, thats just horrible
  20. Must have forgotten to check that rubber, now I have 3 kids
  21. So how much chocolate must I consume before I can leave my wife???? If I could get my rocks off without her it would make my z get done so much sooner
  22. Since it's kind of on the subject, will a t5 out of an 80's mustang be an easy swap into a 79 280zx n/a?? I apologize if I'm thread jacking......
  23. Happy 10 years HBZ.........Wow ten years ago I wasn't old enough to buy cigarettes legally. Oh where has the time gone
