  1. Looks awesome! Did you use the John's Cars LS1 mounting kit? Was there anything that needed to be changed to make the LS2 work?
  2. Hey Paul, it took me a while to get rid of that message. Did you click "activate" after selecting MSSE? After you did that, did you go to the project menu and select "update?" If you followed both of those steps, I don't know why it didn't set your config file up correctly, but that message definitely means the config file is incorrectly set up.
  3. When he wrecked it, all I could think was "at least they wrecked a 2+2."
  4. About 100x better than the remake. See the Datsun HQ building?
  5. Are you going to install an LSD?
  6. It must have been hard to build that car around a tree.
  7. Guys, the MSA price -is- correct. They raised the price when they were told they could not restock. Feel free to call and ask. I'm just glad I bought both my sets before this happened.
  8. I ordered my shirt before the show, I still haven't received it. Did you get my PM?
  9. My 78 280Z turbo (IC+3" exhaust) car has full interior, AC, no rear bumper, 240z front bumper, full tank of gas, no spare, no tools, no driver = 2625.
  10. Is 26 guage wire sufficient?
  11. I was really disappointed in the movie. After seeing how retarded the first two were, I thought there would be plenty to make fun of. Instead, it was actually somewhat enjoyable. And a cameo by Tsuchiya! And yes, Vin Diesel is briefly in the movie.
  12. If you've ever considered an aftermarket fuel rail, now is the time to get one. I'm running one of Pete's rails on both my cars, and it makes working on the injectors, pressure regulator, hose, etc, about 100x easier. Last time I took a stock rail off, I got so fed up, after an hour of fighting it I just took shrub clippers and cut it up. http://www.freewebs.com/pallnet/products.htm
  13. Darn, I should have checked your signature. The 280z rear strut insulator is an inch taller than the front. If yours are the same height, I'm betting they're both the same height as my fronts. Sorry that wasn't any help after all.
  14. Does it have a manufacturer stamping? Did you measure to make sure it's 225mm? If it's a Fidanza I doubt you'll have any problem finding which insert # fits.
  15. I am pretty sure the T-5 fork is the same - I'll check when I get home, but when I went through this last year, I think it was the same. Just curious - where did you get a 225mm alum flywheel? I have never seen one for sale.
  16. BTW, the front strut insulators are 1" shorter than the rear ones. I used fronts in the rear to lower an inch without losing travel (using camber plates in the front.)
  17. I played that arcade game on an emulator the other day. It's pretty funny. The graphics consist entirely of a row of white pegs that is supposed to represent a road on a featureless black background. You stay between them. The end. If you hit either side you get a nice big "BANG" or "BAM" on the screen. Video games sure have come a long way.
  18. Thanks for the responses guys, it's much appreciated. The most confusing part of the V3 hardware for me is all the "MS-II only sections" that seem like they are probably applicable to V3 w/ MSnS-E as well. But it's hard to sort out. Right now I'm totally mystified as to why I can't load code on any of the v3 boards I have access to. 2 other guys in the Z club have built V3 boards and although they appear to respond just fine (on the stim) with the pre-loaded code, we can't load MSnS-e 29q2 (or anything else) on any of them. My board is just dead, I can't remember if I even loaded code on it after I built it. One of the other boards gives the proper "Boot>" menu on the serial connection, but after loading code has an error message, and after restarting without the boot jumper, won't respond to Megatune225. The other one just won't respond to the serial connection at all, you get no "Boot>" response. (With or without the boot jumper.) I must be missing something obvious here, I guess I'll spend another couple of hours searching the msefi boards.
  19. Definitely not blasphemous here. Do you like the ZZZAP scheme? If so, keep it. I don't think the Black Pearl or ZZZAP editions raise the value very much (if at all.) If you want to have a totally stock collectable and you're going to sink thousands into restoring it, an early 240Z would be worth more. So do what you like!
  20. badjuju, I think you missed my point, but you are right, it was stupid to make any comment that might be taken as derogatory (I honestly didn't mean it that way, but I was very stupid not to see how it would be taken.) So, I apologize, especially to Moby, who has helped all of us out over and over. I was just frustrated about a million things, and I wasn't thinking. Sorry guys. Besides the details of my personal life, which I would hate to burden anyone else with, I'm having a lot of problems with this upgrade and my work area, and my tools, and just about everything else I can think of. My v3 board is not responding at all now, I can't load code onto my friends board, my voltmeter died while I was trying to troubleshoot, and I can't find the spare processors I bought to try and fix my old v2.2 boards. I guess it's time for a break or time for a drink.
  21. Wow man, ok. Thanks for making my already pretty miserable day that much worse. I would think this combo would be the most common setup on this forum, and if no one can answer my yes or no question, I am surprised we have enough people to justify it, that's all. I appreciate all your help and your effort in the past, if that offends you, I'll never ask another question here again. I've spent about 6 hours looking for any information on what the new V3 hardware is expecting as input to this newly added circuit. I guess I'm too stupid to run it. Hopefully a truck will pull out in front of me on the way home and solve this and all the rest of my problems for me.
