  1. I've read so many threads titled "stay away from showcars!" that I've lost count. I also know two people personally who dealt with them - both were unhappy. One canceled his order after 6 months, the other called them at least once a day for over a month (after his order was long long overdue) and he wasn't very impressed by the final product when he finally got it. On the other hand, everything I've read and heard about Reaction has been very positive. Good luck!
  2. Well if you think they're trying to rip you off, you're probably mistaken. They are trying to rip off ebay, because fees are not charged on shipping prices. I think that's just as bad - they're being dishonest towards the people giving them this huge market. Ebay deserves money for their services.
  3. AKA Southeast Z Meet! Long live SEZM!
  4. I'd think if you called you could get a better deal, and the free pads. After all, they will have to give ebay something like 10-15$ for that sale. But I agree, shoulder pads are for girls!
  5. Free shipping...not bad! I would also recommend something along these lines if you're going to road race. My cars are both going to stay (barely) streetable.
  6. *waves* *waves again because message was too short to post*
  7. If you mean the touring model of the seats, I have no idea. They are the only ones I've ever seen for sale, and I got them used. From what I've heard the 240z cab is slightly wider. So you should be good either way.
  8. DAD (Dynamic Auto Design) - and that's the only model I know of that they make. They fit on stock rails with some slotting on the passenger's side and two straight strips of steel on the driver's side to use as "adapter brackets." Pretty convenient for installation and they fit well in my 77 and 78 (just barely touch the door - don't imepede its closing.)
  9. These are the best for the money IMO. They are available from 250-350 a pair.
  10. I have a 10lb Fidanza for both my cars. I like the way the engine behaves with them. However, if you're going to get a light flywheel, I would get one with a replaceable surface area. That way if you're using an harsh clutch that wears it down quickly, you don't lose your money if can't be turned. I have no complaints with AZZ, Dave is a good guy, but his lightened flywheel is just as expensive as a Fidanza, and it doesn't have a replaceable surface. PS - Tim Ogburn (TimO) is a Fidanza dealer. Do a search on his username for contact info.
  11. Hey, I know you can build almost anything to beat almost anything else that's stock. Still. It's the principle!
  12. http://home.comcast.net/%7EKyleKelnibbs/videos/CivicvsSkyline.wmv THAT IS JUST SAD!!! Btw, the person who sent me this has an NA 96 EK hatch with a k-series swap that traps 113mph....stupid honda owners forcing me to turn my car into a drag car!
  13. http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4025&hl= I don't know this guy, but he's a regular there. That is a really good deal! If you are interested just call the guy at J&S and ask if there are any modifications needed to use on whatever engine you want it for.
  14. Isn't a +25 offset on 7" wheels way too far in in the front? I would expect that to hit something far before full lock. How can wheels fit the 240sx and an s30 with the same offset? I was looking at some of the 510 watanabes - those are 16x8 with a 0 offset in front and 16x8.5 with a -6 in back.
  15. Here is one that gets driven every day: That's my little brother's car, and man - magnesium rs watanabe wheels are LIGHT!
  16. Gee. I guess it's ok as long as they only do it to "terrorists."
  17. You might have to dremel out the hole under the bung in order to get the wideband sensor in. Narrowband sensors are a slightly smaller diameter and sometimes whoever installed them originally only drilled a whole big enough for them.
  18. If you need keys cut or your locks rebuilt you should call Warren (CustomLock) on this site - he is extremely competent, trustworthy, and you should keep your business within the Z community when you can.
  19. I dont' really need cards, though. I have air horns.
  20. I was reading some posts online - apparently those guys are the same ones that made the "soapless laundry disk" too. Priceless.
  21. Check out that guy's MR2: http://strangetalk.net/viewtopic.php?t=71517
