  1. The 81 (and 82 ?) turbo "snowflakes" are 15x6.
  2. I didn't catch the whole show but it seemed ridiculous. I was told the cars dyno'd at 90HP at the beginning?! And neither of those guys had a lick of drag racing experience....not to mention the fact that a drag race was the worst way to compare them. They should have had John Morton take them each for a lap on a road course.
  3. Ok, let me get this straight - you don't want to change your ride height but you're planning on sectioning your strut housings? All I asked was if you were aware that sectioning your housings involves getting DIFFERENT struts than you would put into a stock 240z, assuming you want to keep the suspension travel. If you don't, why would you section them in the first place? The period of time between events seems pretty relevant to me. Let's say it was a period of a year...how does he know what's happened to them in that time? Frankly, I'm not sure where your hostility towards ME is coming from. I was suprised enough at your tone that I double checked my post after reading your reply - all I asked for was a few very simple clarifications. If you didn't want to provide details, then I don't know why you bothered to post any of this in the first place. If this is how you talk to people, I'm not surprised you did not reach a satisfactory conclusion with your dealings. 'Forrest' (which is my real name, thanks)
  4. Wait a second...did you decide to section, or not? Did you discuss that with Ivan when you made your purchase? Are you aware that that usually involves moving the front struts to the rear and using a shorter set of struts on the front? You might also mention how much time passed between your purchase and when you tried to get back in touch with him.
  5. There were more than 2 candidates. I always find it funny how people will use completely contradictory logic to tell you how important it is to vote and then that a 3rd party candidate vote is a waste. Can't have it both ways. <-- voted for the good guy instead of the any of the "evils" -Forrest
  6. As far as I know, no one had any problems with the 11mm o-ring rails...the only problems were with prototype 14mm o-ring rails. I can't speak for him, though, as far as making more - but I can say that there are absolutely no problems with mine. Also, as far as time invested and tools for making one right - you're not going to save much money unless you're working for the "BK Lounge."
  7. The rail with the nice clean mounts is Pete (pallnet@hotmail.com). There were some other sellers selling rails without mounts. Then I saw a mount design that had large pieces bolted over the rail to put pressure on it from the top. I don't know if they are doing the same thing now, but Pete has had a solid, clean, reliable mount from day 1, and his rails and customer service are top notch, so he gets my endorsement.
  8. Capitalism is merely the freedom to do business without a third party pointing a gun at your head. So, no.
  9. Cool Phantom...now where are the pics you should be posting left and right?
  10. Yes, I was about to get some Diamond wheels...why are you looking elsewhere?
  11. Bizarre. And please don't call Takumi "Tak"
  12. I think I have the answer and if so, it's not posted yet.
  13. tannji, I am not going to try and get into with you over this system. Let me just make a point about the logic of your arguments so far. It is not necessary for someone to own a system to see how flawed it is or that it is bad value for your money. For instance, if I see that a company is selling perpetual motion machines, no matter how good reviews they are getting, or how what incredible forum posts I see, I don't need to buy one to know it's BS, because I understand the laws that make perpetual motion machines impossible. If someone makes a discovery that changes our understanding of physics - I'm sure I won't just be hearing about it from an internet vendor. By the same token, saying that other people with the system are happy with the results is also not an argument that the results are good. There is no need to trust those people when you can look at the facts yourself - without wasting money first. If you want to buy it, go ahead. If you want some facts beyond what has been provided so far - check out the diy-turbo group on yahoo groups, or pick up some good books on the subject. Then see if you still think this system sounds like a good idea.
  14. I'm running the ACT 6puck clutch and Heavy pressure plate with a aluminum flywheel. The engagement is not hard to get used to, and it holds power very well. http://www.nipponpower.com
  15. Yeah, I would have less arcade games and more machine tools. Nice and neat, though.
  16. How did you connect the SS hose to the stock hardline?
  17. I'm against picketing....but I don't know how to show it.
  18. Those idiots just don't learn. They already banned handguns and severly restricted long guns. Since then their violent crime has gone through the roof and armed robberies have gone UP. UP. NOT DOWN. That is what this so called pragmatism gets you.
  19. If I remember correctly, Tomohawk was prosecuted for possessing unregistered machineguns, it had nothing to do with the clinton gun ban. Unregistered means he either didn't pay the tax on them, or couldn't because of the ATF's ridiculous rules. It is no less unjust that he's in jail, but it is not related to this law. All that this asinine piece of legislature did was make things more expensive for honest people. It did not affect criminals one bit. The title is a total misnomer, as usual, since real assault weapons are fully automatic, and are already covered by much more red tape. This was just to try and demonize every other weapon that was remotely practical as a military weapon as well. Even with the supreme court's slanted view of the 2nd amendment protecting "only militia type weapons" as they ruled VS Miller in 1938, these are the MOST clearly protected weapons in existance. Basically, the logic was - "we got you sheep to think that machine guns were evil, now we will try to add everything else under the sun to that category as well." I'm happy that it is finally over - maybe there is hope for us after all. -Forrest PS - Sarcasm and insults are not arguments - but they ARE very revealing.
  20. Aux, I hope you wrote your governator and told him not to sign that .50 ban BS.
  21. I celebrated by buying 8 LEO glock mags for 15$ a piece. Yesterday the same mag would have cost me over 120$. Have you guys seen the media going into a complete frenzy? Almost every story I've read has had at least one straight up lie - forget "slant." Too bad for those socialist parasites! Sanity won out! http://www.clintongunban.com
  22. Moby, not sure if you saw my posts, but I'm thinking the 25% dwell is just too short for the inverted output, period. I couldn't fire the HEI with it either - normal output seemed to work for MSD but Magnus said was that the resolution you get by firing on the trailing edge is really poor - even though it works, you shouldn't do it.
