  1. Your welcome, good luck with everything. I am not sure how to do the diagnostic actually. I use an apex'i power FC so I can see everything on a laptop. Evan
  2. Your car does not use o2 feedback under boost. Bypassing exhaust at idle is NOT normal, and from what your saying 4k is late for a t3/t4 I see 20psi before that. Is your base timing set properly? It would explain the running like crap. Do NOT rule out a damaged maf, or ecu. They are sensitive to being connected improperly.
  3. Width is important, but compound almost more so. I have 265s on my S14 and no hook at all until 3rd or 4th depending on where I am. IMO buy the stickiest tires you can buy, nitto 555R is supposed to be a decent street tire/drag radial that will last awhile. Evn
  4. Bad or dirty Mass air flow sensor. My car always hunted for idle though with the stock ECU. Especially when it was cold. Evan
  5. I 100% agree with your choice, its a safe, proven, high quality seat. SAFE being the key word! Looks great.
  6. So is the car red or pink? Either way, body looks perfect! Congratulations. Evan
  7. You have to be in it for the "process" not just the outcome. If your not enjoying the build of the car your missing the best part. Everyone knows cars are crappy investments for the most part, this isn't new news. This just proves my theory that you should always start with as nice of a car as you can get your hands on. Evan
  8. Actually best bet is to buy "metal bond" its an automotive body product for gluing body parts together. You could glue it from the inside and fill the outside. No welding, no spatter... and a seriously hardcore bond. I know a guy who put custom sideskirts on an astro van with the stuff, and it worked flawlessly. Evan BTW, I think its an evercoat product.
  9. I actually had that happen on my z, but it came loose and I could hear it. Got out and tightened it. Happened about 10 years ago.
  10. I get low 30s on the highway in my 240sx. Round town, leadfoot mcgee gets high teens. Its not tuned all that well for economy honestly. Lots of stop and go. Evan
  11. Man, thats one nice color. I love all the pearl. I am sure it really pops in the sun! Nice job guys. Love the driveway, DIY setup. Evan
  12. I thought that transmission used a ball and spring inserted into the center section from the outside of the trans to keep it in gear. If this is the case, the spring could be weak. This would cause it to pop out of gear. Evan
  13. I am somewhat confident that he has found the answer in the last few years... LOL Evan
  14. Same deal with the RB manifold. The welder who did my manifold commented on how great it welded. Looked killer. Evan
  15. Wait, so filling it with filings from the brake lathe wasn't the way to go? lol I figured it would be something of that nature. Evan
  16. Hey guys, I know this isn't z related but I trust everyone here for advice. My dad has a 1955 ford thunderbird that has a tranny that likes to slip when in reverse (for example, going uphill). What could cause this? Sorry its such a noob question, but I have no experience with auto trannies and would like to help him out! Trans fluid is topped off and full in park, at idle. Thanks - Evan
  17. Change your location fool! Looking good buddy, if I ever make it back into town I gotta come see it. Evan
