LOL, your life sound like mine, in affect....... We run a daycare out of our home, mostly 1st and 2nd shift, but some 3rd as well. Between the kids in our house (around 20) and the lives of the parents (mostly) out of our house, there is never a dull moment. For the time being, my balance elusive, but a new garage will fix that in the spring. Thank god, for the most part our crowd pays for it's self.... and for some of my hobbies.

OK your Z can go 0-60 in 4.0 sec but can it do this???

Apparently, you drive that almost anywhere you want to.... and if its off-road, no one will catch up....! lol, pretty cool.I will be watch the DARPA challenge again this year.... now, pair that with a better AI driving it and it will be scary. -

I was going to set this topic to be watched, or whatever its called.... but I cant figure out how... so, I want to see those pics also, very interesting idea. -
cool... appreciate that, Maichor. That was the thing I missed most from back in the L28 days, being able to rev it out a bit more. Especially with my TPI motor....

how was this show? I only caught the last 90 seconds or so, due to "domestic interference"..... but the car looked interesting, and Jesse doesnt have a future in drifting.

Then lots of cubic inches' date=' with the requisite good flowing heads, correct cam, etc. are in your future That or some form of turbo/supercharging![/quote'] Can one of the experts chime in here a little about extending the rpm range in an LS1.... which will be turboed? the quote above is exactly what I am looking for out of the LS1, just wondering how far from stock I would have to go on the basic engine to be able to hit 6000 rpms reliably.

How not to turbo yer LS1.... or maybe so....

So, if I go look at most dynographs, they usually intersect at 5250RPMs? Cant say that I ever noticed that before.... but since there are a ton of dynos available to look at, I will. The last post of mine was his butt dyno... seemed to intersect with his posted dynograph pretty well..... -

LOL, here is PurEvl's impression after he picked the car up and drove it on the highway.... words are better than dynos, sometimes..... -

Why is that? I dont know enough about dynoing to know the difference, care to fill me in on your question a little more? -

D1SC and STS turbo dynographs, nice to see the curves compared. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=17445 hmm, cant seem to get the picture to show, just the URL. -

Just for comparison, this guy just completed a 10PSI T72 conventional mount turbo..... vs PurEvl's T70. . -

OK, I'll accept that.... but my take is that for a system not intended for drag in the first place, I would rather contend with needing to build up heat to get my absolute peak power, rather than having potentially more serious problem with heat-soak. Once you have heat soak, what do you do? And what do you do to address it long term? With the system losing a little heat, its probably going to last longer, and you might have to "warm up" your car or run twice..... when none of us race on the street anyway.... right? lol -

Little update..... STS made an appearance at SEMA 2004.... apparently there were some F-bodies and a GTO at the proving grounds showing off the STS kits. Some of the GM bigwigs were in line to get rides, and were very impressed. STS won the "2004 SEMA DESIGN AWARD, Best High Performance Product". 8) -
lol, this will be interesting..... I will of course want pics.... and if we ever race, please stay ahead of me, or a lane away..... (JK)

I heard that the SE drags were "Bush League"..... 8)

Man, I really wish I lived close enough to see one of those cars.... I cant think of another car of the era that has the same affect on me, except the Z, and that is kinda a different deal. Those cars are beautiful.... and its funny, but your average joe probably wouldnt think so. Its cool that you are pretty much jumping right into violating... I mean hybriding it.... I would be very torn personally about doing so.... so I would have to find two, lol.

I dont think Bush ever came out in support of the draft.... and Rumsfeld came right out in opposition: The arguement against it is essentially that our current voluntary service is sufficient, and mandatory service would require cutting benefits including the GI bill... thus discouraging the majority who now inlist for economic reasons, not to mention removing an attractive option for a segment of the population that has too few as it is. Some people need to take their news from live cameras or actually read the original bills, and reaction to them to avoid regugitating spin, IMHO.

I honestly dont have any idea what that last post had to do with this topic..... unless it was just an unsolicited flame....? Some people wanted further numbers, or doubted that the STS could do much beyond 5 PSI. It scales well, and is capable of some pretty high HP, and is easy to both install and uninstall, for those that need to pass emissions. IAT's are very respectable, and this guy was formerly driving a "Proven" SC setup, and likes this better. Dont really see anything to flame, but then I am not short or hairy, or reside under a bridge, so what do I know? -
wasnt that car just on Ebay a couple weeks ago? In California?

Man, Cheny scratched Halliburtons back over 12 years ago, exercizing enough foresight to profit now by encouraging a war and earning dividends from a company he dis-associated from to avoid exactly this type of accusation over. Thats deep.... or not. I rather think Daschle would have run that flag far enough up the flag pole to get re-elected. Too bad his constituents decided to get rid of him..... another vast right-wing conspiracy victim.

So, in your first post on this board you decide to insult folks who believe in God? Werd..... What ideas "newer than the bible" were you referring to? This is just ignorant beyond words.... and I apologize for the insult. Do you have any idea how many kids are over there now, in a voluntary basis, who have parents that dont want them there? Besides... a draft is going to be a very hard sell.... and will have to have some very convincing reasons to get it through legislation. All the "chicken littling" before the election didnt stop Bush from getting elected, and it will convince fewer people now. When are people going to require proof before they start sheopling conspiracy therories? We went there for the oil...... seen any evidence yet? Halliburton bought their way into Iraq.... Well... we sure as heck didnt want the contracts going to German or French companies, now did we? Besides... if you read a little fact before the fiction, many of the jobs awarded to Haliburton "without being bid on by anyone else", were jobs only Haliburton was qualified to do. Is there corruption over there? Of course. Has nothing to do with awarding contracts to an American company tho. I think it is high time people stop the rhetoric here, and for the people that just "lost" in the election, follow your erstwhile leader's fine example and bow out with class. Try joining in and working towards your goals within the current administration. That will get you a lot further than spending the next 4 years bemoaning the fact that a majority of the country doesnt agree with you.

OK, I mention a while ago that there was a guy running 630 HP on his D1SC/LS1... and that he was switching to the STS turbo, expecting similar HP. He is just about done, dynoed again, but wants to have another on a mustang dyno, apparently he is having problems hooking up on the Dynojet. Someone said they wanted to see his results in particular.... as most people just scratch and shake their heads when they hear what he is giving up. Thread is titled: Come out Come out STS bashers....Dyno #'s He will be posting the next dyno soon, and there will be video.... hopefully of dyno and track.

Canada just announced that all the Mehgans will have to wait at least one year if they want to bail.
