  1. I'm not too sure what alternator you are looking for but this has p/n's on alot of different gm alternators. The 94 amp with 3 o'clock position p/n is 321-266 etc... http://www.madelectrical.com/electricaltech/delcoremy.shtml http://www.nk.ca/~zcar/pages/articlepages/alternator.html
  2. There is someone on this board can't remember who for the life of me who is getting 1.3 60ft's with a r200 and the stock 280zx turbo cv-shafts. And he doesn't seem to brake them too much as in last few times he went to the track as far as I know they haven't broke. He posted a video of his run about a month or two ago but I can't remember his name maybe someone can chime in.
  3. n/a l28 block with p90 head with all turbo stuff. Max boost 9psi without intercooler, 12psi with intercooler without injectors. 15psi with intercooler and injectors. You need atleast the turbo fuel pump or one better a walbro fuel pump. You won't get many responses because this has been covered MANY TIMES so please search more I was just too bored not to respond. Good luck
  4. One thing you need to remember is they are using the disco turbo on a 4 cyl with 4-valves per cyl designed for high rpm. And z is a inline 6 designed for low rpm power. So you can't really compare rpm to rpm. What you can compare is time it takes to spool at the torque peak of both motors. Roughly 3k for the Z and 4k-4.5k for the 4 cyl.
  5. Very nice but that hickup when the nitrous kicked in can cause a back fire. I can't wait intill someone turbo's one of them:twisted:
  6. Looks like it too me. When he was child though in db GT.
  7. My vote goes to the gemini's. Only thing is how did they get it to do an endo(sp) pop up on its front wheels and get those two cars to slowly go up on their two side wheels.
  8. An easy way to think of it would be a regular front wheel drive car then, and the think of a rear engine like a mr2, vw bug, most porsches, etc. All they did was combine both type of setups in one car. The car will shift at different times, and it will have 4 wheels powering it. Two from the fwd engine and two from the rear engine.
  9. Yeah he swapped out my known to be good coil and it still didn't work. So we swapped the msd box out and all is good no more top-end miss.
  10. I have run a starion intercooler, volvo intercooler and a large npr intercooler. The volvo was by far the worst. But its alot better than no intercooler. Still wouldn't go past 14psi with it though. Starion is good up 18psi, and npr i haven't maxed out. This was with the stock ecu and 370cc injectors. The stock efi will have a very hard time with 440injectors I would wait to put these intill you get a programable ecu. If absolutely won't be able to afford any intercooler for a couple months then the volvo one might be worth your time to fab up pipes. The npr pipes are similar so you might be able to do some minor cutting and rewelding if you upgrade to a npr.
  11. http://www.m90.org/index.php?id=10281 Saw this and had to share. Enjoy
  12. Your car will run really bad with the stock efi and 440 injectors. Most people use 370cc injectors what should be good up to 290hp or 20psi on the stock t3. Do a search and you'll find all the info you need.
  13. This was Jeremy Clarkson's exact words. You might point out at this juncture that the McLaren F1 could top 240mph, but at that speed it was pretty much out of control. And anyway it really isn’t in the same league as the Bugatti. In a drag race you could let the McLaren get to 120mph before setting off in the Veyron. And you’d still get to 200mph first. The Bugatti is way, way faster than anything else the roads have seen.
  14. For the lazy people like me here is a direct link. http://www.miragemotorcars.com/page18.html BTW very nice Z I like the black/white look. There is a sticky somewhere on this site that gives a very good list of things to check out when buying a z.
  15. Yes it has a soft rev and a hard rev control that will work just as good as the nissan oem one did or even better.
  16. Is there suppose to be a video? All I get is a picture. Your z sounds sweet! What RPM did you take it up too?
  17. Nope ego is set to active only above 6500rpms so this isn't it. Thanks
  18. How can you check the timing any other way? When I put the the crank pulley at tdc the cam lobes "look" to be in the positions they are suppost to be. Also I believe when 73turbo240z put his engine together he had the key lined up on the crank snout and the crank timing mark was also lined up on the pulley. So wouldn't this mean the crank timing mark is correct?
  19. Nope at idle the throttle is not being touched. The tps read out on screen says 0% plus megasquirt I believe learns the position of your tps so it automatically adjusts as long as its in the same position everytime it closes. Also we are running 440cc injectors at 47psi fuel pressure. The car idles best around 1.8-1.9 pulsewidths. So 1.5 during startup seems reasonable. Also both of us have tested our injectors for leaks. They both hold pressure for a couple hrs after the car shuts down so no problem there.
  20. Hmmm and I was so sure it was because of when I adjusted the spring. Well for me the problem started when I upgraded to 370cc injectors. And went to 1g bov. I do know the 1g bov is designed to leak at idle so maybe just maybe right before it closes and holds boost the bov needs to have a certain boost present first like 2psi or so. And in lower gears it takes longer to meet that "threshold". But in higher gears because of more load and longer time in low rpms the threshold is lower. And same effect on lag the first second or to just gets blown out but once the turbo pushes enough at it then closes? I no longer have a 1g bov so i'm not sure if you want you can always just make a metal plate real quick and block the bov off and see if it helps.
  21. Have you thought about raising your idle timing. My timing at idle is at 24 degrees. I thought this would be best since the 83' stock efi runs it at this. This might give you better idle response.
  22. Well the afterstart enrichment is set to 0, the warmup wizard is set to 0 and the cranking pulsewidths are at the smallest they will go 1.5 Any smaller and the car doesn't start at all because the injectos aren't opening. Also this happens even if the you turn off the car for only 3 seconds. Turn off wait a second turn on. But if you give it full throttle right off the bat it starts perfectly after the 2 second wait time. Only thing I can think of that may be causing this is we have our fuel pressure base 47psi, 40 with vacuum, this is so we can get alittle more power out of them before we have to upgrade. Also is there a problem with lowering the wait time to 1.5 seconds or even 1 second so it will start that just faster. Nothing big about it just annoying sometimes.
