  3. ummm, make one maybe? I bet those are extremely rare!
  4. I just downloaded the powertools... EXTREMELY easy!!! thanks for the link
  5. here's a new reference pic of the front: (225-50-15)
  6. hmm.. is there a way to use a sacrificial anode on the body (chassis) of a car, or is this only when the metal is completely submerged?
  7. Oleh=Olie... its ok I forgive you
  8. hmm... I don't think so' date=' not after reading the article you posted. From what i read it seems that there was never a 280z[b']x[/b] Zzap in production.
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/79-DATSUN-280-zx-MONSTER-TRUCK-4X4_W0QQitemZ8047082608QQcategoryZ6783QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem a 4 cylinder! why? lol
  10. nah, mull's z has to be the rustiest z ever restored
  11. http://www1.harenet.ne.jp/%7Eken1gc10/ http://www1.harenet.ne.jp/~ken1gc10/nissi.htm they go through a complete teardown for rust repair through paint, and even show some other cool stuff my favorite was on the last link on that page, there is a picture of a AFR gauge installed into the clock hole with weatherstripping... I happened to do that last week with my water temp gauge. Great minds think alike!
  12. 2000 valve cover... and others http://www1.odn.ne.jp/yooopage/myskyline-engin_cover.html
  13. sounds much better IMO. You probably already know this but i'm gonna say it anyway, you need to tie up your exhaust... it looks like its hangin real low. nothing like the sound of a turbo spinning down from high rpms...
  14. you're right, that is too high for MM coilovers. Did you install them correctly, I.E. did you weld the ring for the threaded sleeve in the right location to allow for enough adjustment in both directions? is your car sittin on the bumpstops? (it really shouldn't be if it is a 280z at that height) my 280z with eibach "lowering" springs puts me down a little lower than the ride height in the pictures with about 2-3 inches of stroke left on the shock absorbers. Oh yeah, I run the same size tires too, so it is pretty easy to compare. heres a pic for comparison... kind of a bad pic, if you want more "reference" pics i can shoot some tomorrow...
  15. lol... why am up this late watching teds burnout videos... i don't know. that wasn't synthetic was it?! btw i'm thinking about switching to 10-40 i'll contact you later on your thoughts, and my reasoning behind switching
  16. bump... no response? i think i am going to go with a pair of nordskog gauges with seperate warning lights, One gauge for oil pressure and one for water temp. Any thoughts on these electric gauges, and their sending units?
  17. I'll be your friend +1 vote for texas (houston, austin, DFW area) you are close to Texas world speedway, Houston motorsports ranch, err.. the other motorsports ranch http://www.motorsportranch.com/ besides, there is at least 1 autox every 2 weeks somewhere close... did i mention houses are relatively cheap here?... and we get the cheapest gas prices!!!
  18. i'm guessing thats something like a falcon straight 6? The l24 will definitely make more torque (and horsepower) than that ford engine you got in there now.
  19. I hate to be the pessimist here, but are the roll pans supposed to droop down in the middle as it appears in both pictures? Is that part of the "roll" of the pan or is it just something you can't get around. Personally I would want the bottom to be flat to match the lines of the bottom of the rear end.
  20. we can filter out the F&F noobs by adding a question to the registration window... something along the lines of "what sparked your interest in zcars" If they fill in the F&F option, they mysteriously don't get access to the site!
