  1. Interesting......there is a product advertised on TV called "Poops-a-dent" that does just what you explained. Quess what! It's only $19.95. Imagine that.
  2. I'm taking a quess here, but I think he's talking about shaving down the intake flanges to match the exhaust manifold flange thickness, so even pressure will be applied to each flange when tightening down the fixing nuts. Generally speaking, header flanges are thinner than the stock intake flanges. I'm curious to find out if this is a good quess? For my set-up, I just machined a set of stepped washers to accomplish the same thing. I would be concerned about fatigue on a thinned down aluminum flange, but hey...I might just be overly cautious.
  3. Amen to that you said Mike....a true patriotic American. Hell, you should have been President!
  4. Thanks Jon! I've been using the Swepco 201 in my open R200. Regarding the 200SX LSD....I went to some of the 200SX site and discovered that the 1.8 Litre Turbos came with the R200 LSD. At least the 85 & 86 models did. Thanks again for the quick reply! Tom
  5. Hey guys, I just purchased a R200 LSD carrier for my street toy. I am curious about what type of gear oil/friction additive you would recommend to use? I found a used carrier from a 1986 200SX Turbo, from a place in Rancho Cordova, Ca. called Sunrise Foreign Auto Dismantling, for $250.00 I was getting so frustrated coming out of a corner hard and having the inside tire cut loose. I think I would have prefered to install a Quaife unit, but at approximately $1300.00 I think I can live with a $250.00 clutch pack type differential. So, what gear lube do you think I should use?
  6. Bartman, Just one word of caution! Protect the chromed strut shaft....in the event your wrench slips off while you are tightening the gland nut. Dings in the shaft will = leaks and insert replacement. There's just not much of a wrench flat on these gland nuts, so be careful.
  7. iskone, I don't believe you will be able to fit 255-40 x 17" tires under a unflared stock Z (240, 260, 280). I have a set of 17"x9" (rear) with 235-40s tires and I'm right on the limit of clearance.
  8. I agree with Miles.....just suck it up and buy a new unit. Rebuilding one with new diaphram is less expensive but you will need to fabricate (or buy) the tool required to disassemble the mastervac. It has a big ole spring in it that can hurt you if it flies into your face or other body parts.
  9. I agree with you guys........butt ugly!!!! I quess some people have no taste other than in their mouth. Nice execution however!
  10. What was this guy smokin??? Well, isn't it obvious......PINK cigarettes.
  11. I quess the operator of boom crane #1 wasn't familiar with the button that says...OUTRIGGERS!!!
  12. This blonde doesn't listen too well, does she!

    Arkansas Traffic

It's a terrorist dressed up like a deer....hijacking the guy in the Bronco!!!! Or........maybe it's his pet! Who knows what plans are in the making for that deer!
  15. Myron, I couldn't agree with your post more, but you got to hand it to the artist for his exicution of the statue. I have dealings with contracts at work and you definitely have to be specific about what you request, otherwise you might just get a statue like the one being addressed. Or should I say undressed. Gotta love those short skirts though!
  16. These extreme liberal politicians are good at doing things......they just happen to be the wrong things IMO!!! I suspect that when your head is buried so far up ones behind, it difficult if not next to impossible to see or think clearly!
  17. Come on! Be an american......we ARE the world's leader!!! Do you think we got to our current status by asking permission from other countries....NOT!!! And to mention that you think Clinton should be the world president......that's the best joke I've heard in a while. Clinton is history and we should leave it that way for your own protection. Maybe you forgot about Clinton and all his cronnies and how they tried in vain to destroy our 2nd amendment rights??? Be an american, join the NRA, clean your bores, stock up on ammo and supplies.....so when the frigging foreiners start wigging out on our homeland we will be served up some of the best target practice available. Remember the war of 1812? I'm definitely proud to be an American.....now where's my SIG.
  18. Hey Tim, I want to thank you for being a good host and welcoming a new-comer like me! I really enjoyed the afternoon.....good people, good food, and great conversations. Hope you've had a chance to sample the GLEN....enjoy it and thanks again for your hospitality. Sincerely, 2126 (Tom Whitaker)
  19. Well, I think Terry has no competition in this case........it's not a Z !!! Also, I rather doubt that the NSX has the HP to match the prancing horse badging. However, as Terry said, the overall exicution on the NSX is outstanding. Terry, your Z is still the "Bomb" !!!
  20. Get her a set of ear plugs, a jacket, and a cushion to sit on!!! Or, buy a USED limo. I'm just quessing here, but your significant other really doesn't like sports cars does she? So sad.
  21. It's a good day to be an American. Democracy is a good thing!!! Congatulations on your victory President Bush. Last night, just for some giggles, I tuned in to the ABC, NBC, and CBS news broadcasts. It was just hillarious watching those liberal broadcasters realing with disbelief.....
