  5. from my expeirence it is relatively easy to reach the power output of that rb. that VG onthe other hand would need extensive mods to reach that power output. very few people tune on VGs for that reason. It takes alot more money to make the VG perform. Just my 2 cents

    r200 LSD?

nope no such monster.... ill give you 50 bucks for it ;> There are LSDs out there. hard to come by....range in price from 400-700 bucks. best way to tell with out looking under the cover would be to just jack up the car and turn the rear wheels. if they both turn the same way its an lsd. You can check how good it is by holding one wheel and having someone lese turn the other. a good diff will be hard to hold the wheel from spinning. A worn diff will be really easy to hold. From the sounds of your little test its a pretty good diff. Stony
  8. I took mine to a fabricator for a backhalve. Mine is going to cost 7K +/- 100 or so. its getting all new frame from the engine bay back, a full 12 point chromoly cage thru the firewall tieing all the struts together, removable trans tunnel, 2 speed powerglide, trans brake, neil chance rebuildable converter, ford 8.8 with 33 spline axles, billet caps, willwood brakes, aluminum diff cover. adjustable shocks, 4 link, ect ect. hoping to be done by the end of july... wishfull thinking. here is what mine looks like right now
  9. moser has 33 splines :> and a spool too :>
  10. sorry, there fixed..... more to come soon
  11. i used all the stock metal lines for the stock motor that made 400rwhp Anything higher i would recommend replaceing the stock -6 metal lines with -8 oe -10 braided lines.
  12. the weight distro is 51 49 and yes it is a drag car. but it handles real well. no understeer ever encountered.
  13. Sorry if you put it in there but i didnt see it and i was in a hurry..... Will the 5 lug brakes clear 15x3 inch wheels with 1 3/4 BS. If it does i will be giving you a call shortly. Clint

  15. What's just the 5 lug conversion (pictured below) cost for the front and does it maintain the stock wheel base?. I have 15X3s with 1 3/4 BS will they clear the calipers without spacers? I will be running willoods on the rear with my 8.8 conversion and would like a matching set of brakes ;> BTW dave this is clint from alaska used to live in japan.. i sent you a bunch of stuff from japan. Remember me ? Here is a pic of the setup im refering to just incase i wasnt clear on the setup i wanted

  17. Wow i didnt know he left but thats awesome he is getting his own place. Hope he does well. I was wondering teh same thing what are you doing with the body of the gnz?
  18. between 240 and late model 260s there is a big weight difference. late modle 260 is basically a 280.
  19. the freeze plugs removed in the rear p[art of the head and water lines installed, this moves more water thru the head. I think comparing any type of pro motor to a motor that is availble to us is really kinda mute. This kinda sounds like a chevy ford dispute. John C has a point. his motor is built for a specific class. and would out perform any non prepped rb26. and any prepped rb26 that would withstand what he does with the L does would not be legal to run against him. So RB26 vs L28 on a road course L-28 1 RB26 0 Ok now lets talk about drag racing ;>
  20. So what are teh plans for the EX gnz scottie?
