  1. This is the catch. An RB26 has to be prepped considerable to run on a road course. water jacket mods, oil baffle mods, oil cooling ect ect. If these are not completed even a bone stock rb26 will die after a few all laps on a high speed course. the JGTC cars are kinda in the same boat as german touring cars. They a heavily modified compared to there stock counterparts. As far as drag racing goes.... An aftermarket oil pump, cooler and water pump, head work, cams, big turbo (S) and good tuning can generate 700+ reliable RWHP and can be use as a daily driver. This is not myth. I have a close friend here in Japan and several acquaintances that are pushing that kinda power... running there car often and driving to work daily for over 3 years now. RB26s are not good road course motors unless heavily modified but drag motors they are very well suited. Id take an rb over just about any other motor anytime. Now before I get pinged I did say almost any motor.
  2. Lots of cool videos on this link but look at the white 350 Chev L300 Van . thats a van id like to have http://www.fullboost.com.au/racing/records/video.html
  3. there ya go now it works thanks

  6. you may have to subsribe to the group give me a couple days and i will get them up here. just have to get to a pay computer i can save stuff on
  7. AAAACCCKKKK Me no likey ... sorry For the zcar i have never seen a headlight replacement that looks better then the stock setup. I plan on doing a HID upgrade on mine.
  8. no i drive it to and from the track....well last year it was too the track and trailer it home I will be running in excess of 140mph this year and dont want to depend on "SMALL" brakes. the rear wilwoods are actually 11 inchers. the fronts are 11.5-12 inch nissan rotos so my bias shouldnt be too bad.
  9. very interested keep us posted on price and updates. I would like to see a pic of the finished product also.
  10. Yes i read your post and i agree with you. This is also why im considering starting over with a stock set of struts. Have you come up with a price yet for the kit? I'd be very interested in it if it's affordable. what i would hope to do is sell my setup and get a stock setup for partial payment. then use the money to buy a kit somewhat like yours if not yours. the brakes are the willwood kit for the 8.8 they look huge but i wasnt comparing them to the fronts on my car
  11. I may be wrong on the rear rotor size but they looked bigger then the z31 rotors i have on the front right now. i will have to check on it when i get back.
  12. i cant save as on the computer im using . Its one of those free cyber cafe things. i will later.
  13. Sorry, the wheels are for sale and he asked.....the suspension isnt quite up for sale yet just kinda feeling the grounds. if it needs to be moved i will.
  14. BTW the one big issue I have with the current setup is i cant lower the car as much as i want because the frontrunner tire im running will hit the fender!!!! Notice in the pics how its kinda sitting lower in the rear.
  15. Ok i have a problem im trying to figure out. I want to use 3 inch draglites up front but with the new brake setup they dont clear the calipers unless i put a huge spacer on them. below are some before and after pics of the same wheel with stock brakes and then the z32 brakes. I will have huge willwoods in the rear ( i think 12.5-13 inch) with the ford 8.8 and want atleast the same size in the front. But i dont want to have to use a spacer to clear the rotors. Any suggestions????? see the before look here http://www.geocities.com/stonehac/ see the pics here of the after look http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/551235
  16. here are some pics of a swap my buddy in japan is doing. mine will look almost identical to this except mine will have blue valve covers and the turbo is a t88-34d and not a t88-33d ;> http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/rb26dett/lst?.dir=/Installation+Details&.src=gr&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/ If you dont have a yahoo login you may not be able to view... sorry its the only way i can post pics right now.
  17. actually i do here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2479374699&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT
  18. I may be wrong but a turbo builds boost by passing gasses by the turbine wheel in the turbine housing.. hitting the compressor side of the turbo dosnt sound like it would work to me.
  19. You still need the rb20 Z-31 oil pan and oil pickup.... but it does not need the same mods the rb26 block needs. everything bolts up.
  20. Ok not really listing these yet just curious if anyone would be interested in front suspension on my car? I have the AZC coilover conversion along with AZC chromoly a-arms and TC rods. the struts were sectioned and i used the lower halve of a z31 r lug setup with z32 calipers. with the control arms i was able to adjust everything out so everything aligned up right to stock specs. Here is the catch i had to modify the tierof length because the z31 knuckles were differnt. I had a pro weld in some cromoly to lengthen the rods. What does this mean? the entire front suspension HAS to go as a set. anyone interested. What do you think it's worth? Stony
  21. john how much do you want for the roller?
  22. IF they cant build an rb26 to last 3 laps on a track they plain and simply dont know what they are doing. My Z is setup for drag but before i started the backhalve it was not far from being a pretty decent track car. the way it sits right now with stock turbos @ 15 PSI puts down 392RWHP and with the right suspension tuning i bet it would have ripped up the track. It has 51 front 49 rear balance and weighed 2700LBS and that could be improved on by moving the engine back and lowering it a little. Just my 2 cents
  23. 800 HP on an L? Thats one expensive L motor. Not sure i have ever heard of or seen a L motor with that kind of power.
