  1. Sorry my pics would not stay up. How do I delete this post?
  2. There is a very good shop here in my local area, Newport News VA. Shop has all the stuff needed and the owner is a racer with experience in Z suspenion setup. It would be mostly all interstate driving for you to get here. If you interested, e-mail me and I will give you names and contact info. Glad to here no major damage to you or your car.
  3. Just wait. The saying that time passes faster as you get older is true. Make the best out of every day! Have a nice Birthday and be safe.
  4. Anyone notice the TC rods. Wish I had the time, a place and of course the money. . . the money. . . the money. . . the money. . . So what about the rear flares? I`m thinking 944 (yes / no)
  5. I’d love to see a functional chin splitter for the MSA air dam. I only have a fiberglass budget, no CF for me.
  6. With a rebuilt bottom end, go thru the head and have things cked. You may get lucky and only need a fresh valve job, seals and surfacing.
  7. You might want to contact Ross with http://www.modern-motorsports.com and talk with him about your suspension needs. What header did you go with? I must say, your car look very nice.
  8. You might even have to use both of these methods at the same time. Really, the key is to NOT MESS the treads on the shafts. A thread file might be a good addition to the tool box before you start (just in case the threads do get messed up). So just take your time and the nuts will come off nice.
  9. Congrats on the new Z Mike. It looks good in the pic you posted. 1st thing, change ALL of the fluids and do a once over the whole car. Don`t have much as far as parts to offer (except some control arms) I do have a solution for that hatch lock problem (see my pics). Try some "green stuff" rear shoes, you can get them from the Nissan dealer. They are pretty good for fun / street duty. Good luck with your new car.
  10. I think the zerk fittings were only on earlier models. You can remove the preload adjuster (where steering link attaches to rack) and lube the internals of the rack. Just make sure you properly preload the adjuster on reassembly.
  11. Sean, I would say fresh oil & filter before you leave and fresh again when you return. Maybe try to vary the revs and load to the engine when possible on your way there and back. And then just "Enjoy The Ride". Just MO...
  12. Can I start calling you Daddy ? Good for you, sounds like you might even have to work for a change.
  13. Good to hear things worked out well for you and quick too.
  14. John, I put my vote on the carbotech pads and shoes. They are also "rotor friendly". I used Porterfield R-4`s and will say that they are very good product. A noticeable difference running the Carbotech Panther plus (frt & rear). I have rear drums and use the Toyota non-vented 4x4 calipers up front with a proportioning valve. Don`t even think about going to a track event with "stock" pads and shoes. And flush your brake system before you go. And the most important thing is Have Fun !
  15. Jon, yes my OMP seat was (lets just say) over $300.00 us, but money well spent IMO. The seat has alot of room on the door side and is very supportive. I mounted it directly to the floor so it is nice and low, lots of room even with a helmet on. At some point down the road I will be getting a Kirkey race seat (when I go full track car) and I will then move the OMP over to the pass. side.
  16. I been very pleased with an OMP Sport Comp seat I installed. It is a steel frame racing seat, very comfortable on the road and works VERY well on the track (with 5 point harness). It is (like most others) a bit harder to get in and out of. Ck out my pics and you can see the mod I did to the stock pass. seat. Everyone who has been a pass. says it works great (also 5 point harness).
  17. Terry you have more vents in that car than . . . . . Looks Good, Very Good. The icon does you no justice ! Please give us some other views of the car.
  18. NICE ! Good to see some more progress. Look foreward to seeing it in person.
  19. Dan, you didn`t think it would take long, did you ?
  20. I`ve used both a torch and a cut off wheel. I find that the cut off wheel cuts more quickly and doesn`t heat the coil up very much. I use to bend the coil down flat, but the last couple sets I just cut them and reinstalled. Works great. No problems.
  21. Very Nice ! Are you sure you don`t want to make a g-nose for us.
