  1. I did a search on the net and came up with all these weird, non-car results. Do you have a link to one? Owen
  2. Let me know how it works out! I'd have a harder time trying to convince the passenger to put on one too! Owen
  3. I think it would depend on how stiff your car is too. A cage, stiff springs, solid mounted engine and rear, subframes? can get pretty tiring on bumpy city streets. I'm putting AC in after telling mylself for 5 years that I wouldn't need it...however those Sharper Image things pretty interesting. I would look pretty stupid wearing it in the car, but for $30, who cares! Do a search for anti-theft posts here. Although no one in their right mind would tell you how they wired in their secret switches. Think about it, one post here, one there, and pretty soon it's all over the internet on "how to make your car secure" sites. If you don't want an alarm system, get a removable steering wheel. Also pull some fuses and maybe the coil when you leave the car and carry them with you. Owen
  4. Do a Google search for "foam", "fiberglass" and "supply". Aircraft Spruce comes to mind but there are probably places closer to you. Also, searching here may give results, search for "florist foam". I know the search function doesn't always work tho... Owen
  5. Tony, My rear collars were too low too. I ended up getting a steel pipe with a diameter ever so slightly larger than the strut tube and put that between the perch and the GC threaded tube. Owen
  6. Short of a custom crossmember or moving the crossmember out of it's stock location, an 8" won't work. Trust us on this one:-D Owen
  7. I really couldn't tell you, maybe ask the question in the Turbo section, or the 6 Cyl. section? Just my guess, but you would have less fuel going in when hot and more when cold. From your sig it sounds like you have a good setup. Maybe it's the just the limits of the stock ECU? Owen
  8. Are you talking a stock computer? Your injector COULD be running at 90% DC but I imagine it'd be lower. I don't know how the stock computer works, but at WOT hot and cold you should not have the same fuel (assuming there's a temperature to fuel map). I don't know about cutting out a sensor until you know how the ECU uses that sensor in it's fuel calcs. What about your timing cirve? Fuel pressure vs. boost? Owen
  9. Hmm, you'd probably have to ask Edelbrock, Holley, TPIS, etc. More than the plenum size, I think it's the runner length that decides one of the characteristics of the engine. I've seen the single plane style you're talking about, basically a carb manifold plumbed for EFI right? I've seen those things make plenty horsepower with the right cam and exhaust, etc. However, I went with a TPIS MiniRam2, mainly for hood clearance, possible future forced induction, and simply the looks. If you find an answer, let me know. Owen
  10. Looks like a new commercial! I'm tired of seeing that damn guy on the bike, whatever his name is. Owen
  11. I been waitin for this to take shape, great work! You may have explained this before, but what does the leading edge (by the diff) look like? Is it flat or is it angled to direct air trapped around the rear of the diff out to the diffuser? Oh wait, if it was angled that way, you'd have 7-9 degrees in the opposite direction... I guess it should just be flat? What about air trapped around the gas tank area above the diffuser? Am I being paranoid??? Owen
  12. Yeah, this would definitely require wider fenders and a lower mounted radiator, nothing I would do just to experiment with...just wondering how it would look. Terry, I think you cut out the top radiator crossmember area and angled your radiator forward, did you cut out the lower portion too? Owen
  13. Now this picture is a huge exxageration of what I'm talking about so don't all 'yall go bombarding me with "that's a different car altogher!" posts I always liked how some cars had "talller" fenders than the hood. And so was wondering if the Z would look good at all. With the Z's round headlights, maybe would make it look too much like a Porsche? Owen
  14. Thanks Terry, I really wanted to go with a single large opening like yours but didn't want to lose the hood bulge either, so I went with the other route. I was always wondering how a stock bodied Z would look with a simple flat or curved hood like the 3rd gen RX-7s? Owen
  15. Well I was told I don't need one too...but if I like it with it on,...welll... Do you have a pic of the one you're not using anymore? Owen
  16. No way, no mold...then everyone will have one and Terry will lose his godly powers of creation Leave the look-a-likes to the ricer crowd. Owen
  17. AND...the quality-made catch cans should have baffles inside them. As the blow-by gasses pass through these baffles, the crap and sludge get trapped and accumulate at the bottom of the tank. No dumping the oil back into the engine when the tank is full! Theoretically, only clean air should make it back to the engine. Placement of the baffles and ports is important I bet, just like chambers in a muffler. Owen
  18. Sweet! Can't wait to see her painted again! Owen
  19. Hey hey! This constitutes illegal file sharing, whether electronic or via snail mail. As a HybridZ Godfather, I must ask you to cease and desist, if you want to "discuss" this further please email/PM me/each other. Owen
  20. I had and Archos for a while, the one that recorded and stored movies, was sweet but it was too bulky and overkill. I only bought it to play with it and return it in two weeks. Aside from the huge amount of songs I "found" while online. "I didn't download them, I just found them, your honor" I've been making backups of all my existing audio CDs. Anyone up for trades??? Offline...with CDRs? After I get my recordable drive fixed that is...oh, is that illegal too? PM me! Innerware, next get a DVD+/- RW drive....and sign up for Netflix One thing I hate, audio file sharing is illegal, even making personal copies is somewhat illegal...so why do all these damn companies make MP3 players?!?! Sony, Nike-Philiips, etc... Owen
  21. Dude, where were you? You missed all the peer to peer file sharing stuff. FREE MP3s (and software and movies and etc etc). Not that I've ever done this mysself , no sir, not me, it's illegal The portable cd players are good, but get a in-car deck that plays MP3s, it's like having a 12 disc changer in one disc! It sucks when the portable player goes flying somewhere...OR, take a step up and get a IRock Beam-It. We did this to my friend's car and now she can beam her songs to her stock radio, home stereo, etc all from her Ipod. Your reception may vary. Owen
  22. IF I DO open the door, I just look and slam it right away...same with callers, if no one answers back "hello" in a split second, I hang up. How about putting a gate with a lock around the entire front yard, that and some nasty dogs would prevent people from walking up to your porch. Owen
