too late, already gone, they said my whole suspension is shot, and my frame rails and floor pans are unsafe, its gone, but im looking into a couple S30s

he explained all this just a few minuts ago, he says that he can't adjust anything except the toe, becuz the strut housings are bent and i need new strut housings, springs, and all sorts of stuff-not replacing it. Getting rid of the ZX, and my dad is giving me his truck. Hopefully soon enough i'll sell the truck and buy that S30 i've been looking at. Am i free to roam around the board still, even though im Z-less.

your telling me, i've been trying to sell the 2+2, and the last thing i needed to do was get it aligned, and this is what i hear from the alignment shop?!?!?!?! Should i find out if it was my ex-mechanics fault that the rear is destroyed, and then get his insurance to pay for parts and labor, and with that i'll get an S30, i DONT want to have to deal with the guy again, becuz i've been screwed by him 2 times, im not ready for a third time, and then i'm also without a vehicle, this is b/s. Im in school right now, and i haven't talked to the alignment shop yet. I called my mom at lunch hoping that she'd heard from the shop, and i thought it was gonna b done, this is crap, and now there probly gonna make me pay for them checking out my rear-end, when all i asked for is a front-end alignment. What do u guys think i should do, unless fixing the car is the only way that they will pay, im gonna ditch the S130 and get an S30.

The alignment shop called tday, all i wanted was my front end aligned, but they said it will cost 1500 in parts alone to fix my rear end, becuz it was previously wrecked-could it have been my old mechanic? Bringing my ZX to the alignment shop, look at the before pix. You can barely see how bad the angle of the tires are, they're facing away from eachother-Mikelly, idk if you remember how it looked at your shindig, but its a bunch worse. Nope, thats an LS1, u can tell by the engine cover I dont think the LT1 came with a cover, or atleast not in camaros.

i give it two weeks B4 the garage is completly messed up, you'll have rods and pistons everywere, and u won't b able to find a phillips head. It happens everytime we clean my garage.

hey Georgia Flash, question for you, im a bit stumped on-I was at work tnite, and sum buddys were doing burnouts in the back lot after it closed, and when i was pulling out of the lot i noticed that there was a cop staring at us the whole time from across the street. Why didn't he flip on the lights, is it becuz hes not allowed to since its private property, or is it becuz he was just enjoying the site. BTW this is a seafood restrant, nuthing gov't related at all.

I have been looking into sumthing very similar, but i was too limited only to finding out about the sand castings, i actually read sumwhere howto do it, i'll see if i can find the site. I was looking into designing my own engine, or designing a DOHC head-but funds have cut back quite a bit since i started this design.

Seen that b4, one for each cylinder, they did it on a few Tri-5 Chevys, i saw it in Super Chevy like last year.

I dont see a problem with a tach with an auto, my buddy has a tach in his truck, and i wouldn't race that thing with a vette. He took the engine out of an Olds 442 and rebuilt it, after the rebuild, it was about 500 ft/lb and 425 hp, but a valve broke and destroyed the engine. Well, it was JUST a cracked block, so he recently got it rebuilt again-sleeved, and bored to a 470-its promising about 600 ft/lbs at the crank, his old setup was good for 11's, im not sure how low or high, but this new setup is extremely badass. and this is in an 81' chevy Silverado Stepside, wich originally came with a diesel-he has a tach-aint no1 makes fun of him for that.

i was always told that you do have to get on it during breakin- that you have to vary the RPM's, like race the engine to 4K, then put it in a higher gear and put it at 2K, never to leave it at a set RPM for more then a few minuts.

I know howto break in an N/A motor, but is there a diffrence in N/A vs. Turbo? I was thinking-i plan on picking up an L28 from the local junkyard, and completly rebuilding it, i thought about putting a turbo on there, cuz i have a few of the parts already-would it b possible to run the motor and break it in like an N/A, and just make it so the turbo would not boost? How would i do this? Could i set the wastegate so that it doesn't boost at all-and then change it when the engine is broken in-i want this engine to last as long as possible. BTW, it will b stock turbo and everything, nuthing aftermarket, cept like a head gasket,rings, and gaskets, everything else stock.

unless you plan on turning up the boost a bit there is no reason to run higher octane.

y may i ask do you need 93 octane on your car. I run my N/A ZX on 89 and i never hear a ping.

no, its not the fuel pump, its the entire car, the fuel pump is just one of the plauges, how many plauges were there? I never touched the wiring to the fuel pump so its not rigged up at all, its just diffrent then it should be, its in the spot that it would be on an 79, not 81, wich means the PO swapped out the whole fuel system, electrical, and drivetrain from a 79'........it just confuses me at times.

i think your right about satan, sumthin must have been clogged in the pump, becuz i jumped it for a few minuts, and then i didn't need to jump it anymore, runs fine. But this is the last straw, i need to sell this Z a.s.a.p, and buy an S30, parts interchangability is driving me insane, so much to the point that i can't even tell wht my car is. Its supposively an 81' with a 79' engine and 3 speed tranny, and it originally came with a five speed, i called the local Z expert and he said the 81' fuel pump is inside the gas tank, but this one was under the tank, i don't know what to do anymore, so i need to sell it and i have a line on a 75' 280z in better condition then mine-anybody wanna buy my car?

I was out there for a second, and decided to replace the fuel pump relays, runs fine.......dont u love the easy fixes, i decided to stock up on relays last time i was at the junkyard. I lied, i went back out a few minuts later to jump the A/C, and fuel pump doesn't cut on anymore......not bad relays, i guess sitting over nite fixed it, why? and y would it not work now-seems like the head temp sensor problem, but i don't think that that has to do with the pump.

well, after i didn't hear the fuel pump, i went and checked my fuel lines, and there is absolutly no presure in them, so my fuel pump idea is right, im about to go try and fix it now.

....because i've been at the beach for a week and a half, looking foward to driving the ZX the second i get home. I came back early tday, instead of saturday, and i was gonna suprise sum1 special, well, i get home at 10:15, and jumped in the Z, and nuthing happens, it sputters and dies, so i crank and crank and nuthing, then i think-of course its not getting gas, so i put it in drive and turn the key(thats how i prime the fuel system)-no fuel pump sound....try over and over, still no pump. God likes to play games with me, mostly with my car.....so first thing tommorrow morning, i hafta fix the fuel pump, this is gonna b quite interesting. WHAT A WEEK, life has been goin to Sh!t latey, and that just adds to it. Looks like its time for sum more work to do, i get home from vacation early, really happy cuz i get to see sum frends for once over summer, but nope, get home, gotta fix the Z tommorrow, and my dad decided to plan a trip to wyotech for me on thursday and friday w/o telling me......i really cannot stand my family, when everything is going great, i can always count on them to make me feel like crap. One more year till i can move out again.

can't stand the family.......it is so irritating to live with them, that i moved out when i had just turned 16, was gone for 2 months living at my best frends house, and came back-and they hardly noticed i was gone. Not really looking foward to leaving to see the girls, cuz i got one waiting rite here, and i don't wanna leave.........my parents are actually bringing a laptop, so i may have internet access
