  1. I have 'em and I don't do corners at all, well, at the end of the track I have to come back, but that's usually less than 20mph, but I do spirited driving, even on the street at times. So, I guess they have a purpose even on a regular z, so they are probably good for zx too.
  2. 154+436.52+182.45=$772.97 and that is how you buy aeroquip qft hose, fittings, 12 gallon Jaz plastic fuel cell, and stainless filter in -10 and -8. I'd hate to think what it would have been for -12 and -10 lines. Just goes to show you that you can shoot an $800 bill right in the 'ol keester in a flash. I hate to think of how much money I have in the Monte these days! I hope it runs.
  3. I think the tires will be weaker than the trans. You'll be smoking rubber long before your smoking clutches in the trans! Oh, I guess that's a good thing
  4. Well, with 500fwhp that'll put you at about 380RWHP and about 11.30's. But since your paying for it, you make the decision. Big or bigger!
  5. Well, we won't tolerate those kinds of lies here on Hybridz, period, end of story!! That's what makes us different than those "other" websites!
  6. Timing? You could add 2 cylinders, that's what I did.
  7. Filter was $52. I take it your guess is $500, not even close!
  8. Your torque converter is not all the way in the pump, rotate, push, rotate while pushing, it will go in when the dogs on the converter line up with the pump gears. You should have about 1/4 space between the flexplate and the TQ converter when installed properly and you should have to pull the converter up to the flexplate when installing the bolts. If you run it like that it'll wipe out the thrust bearing and ruin the crank. May also ruin the front pump in the trans.
  9. Uh, well, maybe. I went last week, got the teflon lines, 17 feet of each, -10 and -8, (4-#10 straight, 4-#8 straight, 1-#10 90) fittings, 12 gallon jaz plastic fuel cell, stainless inline 10 micron fuel filter. Take a guess how much for the whole shebang? Winner gets nothing, but just take a guess. I'll give you a hint, the fuel cell was $139.99.
  10. Don't worry, he's related by marriage, besides that, he's polish to boot! Guess that explains the tires, huh?
  11. BANG, BANG!!!! Jap Tin, you always double tap, em, just so there aren't any witnesses. See, problem solved, now he doesn't anything.
  12. I use the aeroquip qft race hose, it's teflon lined, quite a bit smaller in OD than the normal steel braid hose with the same ID. Takes different fittings which happen to be stainless. No problems here with that setup. ACCEL makes injectors, most have stainless parts inside, but theirs are methanol compatible, they make both low and high impedence ones I believe. I was going to go accel EFI.
  13. Yeah, I know. I went to a function a couple of years ago and these people came up to me and said "What were you doing watering your lawn at like 5AM today?" I'm like WTF are you talking about. They went on and on, both insisting that they saw me on the lawn at 5AM. I finally had to show them my drivers license to prove them wrong. I've known for several years now that I have a twin brother, but I was adopted at 18 months, so no memories. Life is good!
  14. What I meant was that you said changing, from what to what, stock to deep sump? Anyway, how's it working now?
  15. Well, my family is from Arkansas, what can I say?
  16. I think Chuck Norris' dog must have peed on your tires when you weren't looking. Worth about 50HP, that's why you can hang with the 'vette. And the same dog peed on the camaro's tires before you raced last time. Makes perfect sense now.
  17. That's my cousins car, he's waiting to get rims and tires for the front, that way he'll have more ground clearance. BTW, where I come from that's sexy!
  18. Check this out. http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/tdetail.php?tip=11 Separate pump depends on HP level your base is at, but I doubt you'll need it. Check with aeromotive, magnaflow, BG, they all make good pumps.
  19. Drive a Lincoln, drink a Miller, but weld with an HTP! I thought that was catchy.
  20. Thanks john, but it's going to have to be sooner rather than later. I found 4'x8' stainless sheet for $646.48
  21. 30" OD x 7 feet long x 1/4" thickness. It's actually a full sheet welded together. They make a sheet that is 7 feet by 21 feet, but it's kind of pricey.
  22. Larry thought he made a mistake once, but he was wrong.
  23. I don't see how that could be a bad thing in any sense of the word.
