  1. Boy, I think he's already caught a rock and knocked out the "twins".
  2. Makes you want to be that ninja seat doesn't it?
  3. I think scottie is right, the buick has inherit advantages since it was turbocharged from the onset in some models, so parts are available. The 4.3 platform is a one off, so not that it hasn't been done before, but you'll be forging new territory in the z world.
  4. Oh cool, finally a guinea pig of sorts.
  5. Pretty cheap really, I saw a pair of aluminum heads go for $800 complete.
  6. Well, GM makes some great heads, take some sbc 6.0 inch rods and have them narrowed .050, I think, builds a great motor, very durable and alot of HP! TT would be simply awesome, probably get 750 hp boosted.
  7. Pete, man do I ever know what your going through. I'm sure that doesn't make you feel better, but at least I'm giving you something to do. Reading this post. So, that's as good as it gets today, Happy Fathers Day, to you and all those who read this as well.
  8. Or is it big nos solenoid on the bottom, little one on the top? Actually, it's all good, fun to watch too!
  9. sounds like infection to me, but I guess you'll find out. If it was possible to hurt for you I would, then you wouldn't have to. I hope you get better.
  10. Yawn, Yawn, I think i'll join you, since we ain't getting no respect and I don't even see a 9 second all motor car.
  11. Well, your right, nobody can touch Jap Tin and the gauntlet is on the ground. Any takers? All motor boys, it's impressive at least to me.
  12. Yeah, I'm launching at 4500, shifting at 6K and crossing the line at 6500, so pretty easy on the motor. Cam is comp roller .645/.645 260/272 104LSA. Heads are 2.08 and 1.6 valves, no titanium retainers, valves, etc.
  13. Well, my boys z had about 50 lbs of bondo on it, that was for certain. Over 2 inches thick on the passenger door that was caved in and 3 inches on the passenger b pillar and a complete 1/8" coating on the top parts of the remainder of the car due to a previous hail storm. But I weighed the car at 2750lbs with my lardo behind in it. But still I'm about 130lbs heavier than your backhalf car, by the way what did it run? Then I don't have the motor that you do, actually nobody does. I'm being conservative anyway when it comes to stepping on the 406. But that won't be the case with the next motor. I have a real appreciation for the HP that you've extracted from 415 inches of sbc. Cylinder heads and cam choice there are the key. What rpm do you launch at and what do you shift at? IMO what you've accomplished is truly amazing from an engine builders perspective.:hail:
  14. Most if not all of the new electric fuel pumps have eliminated the need for a fuel dampner. The early OEM pumps had pulsating problems due to design. I would not think that when using a new style fuel pump such as walbro, aeromotive or any other that it would be necessary. In fact the manufacturers don't even have a fuel dampner for sale, so I think that speaks for itself.
  15. Well, after he races at 2800lbs, we can tell him to "Get the Lead out!!" Seriously though Jap Tin, how is it so light?
  16. Details, schmetails. We have a plan for Jap tin. Called Lead, see when he comes to SEZ, we have a bonus for him, 800 lbs of lead in clamp on configuration like the circle track guys do.
  17. Towards the end of the movie, the lowrider gets all jacked up and the porche girl car and lightning are looking at the rear underneath of the jacked up lowrider and I think one of them says, ooohh, crome nuts. Did anyone else catch that?
  18. I've got a set of corvette rams horn, block huggers that would clear steering. Actually I have 2 sets, one is 2 inch outlet and one is 2.5 inch outlet. I'd take $50 for the 2 inch outlet pair, and $75 for the 2.5 inch outlet pair.
  19. I think JNJ is running a R200 or maybe it's an R230. Anyway ZGAD is running IRS also and he's in the 9's, also is Corzette, he's in the 10's. I think everyone else that is that fast is running a solid rear. There are several members like stony that are doing an install right now and they are well documented. When I get the z out of paint PRISON I'll detail the 9 inch install and perhaps try to add some info to the sticky about frame rail strengthening since they are directly related.
  20. There is something you have to change in the valve body to get that to work. I can't remember exactly what it is at the moment, but the vette is the only car with a 700R4, that I know of, that you can get full throttle in OD.
  21. WOW, those are really cool. I'd like to hear the offy. Very nice off topic thread for hybrid z.
