  1. Hey guys, Where abouts and on what intercooler pipe etc should I place my blow off valve. This is the cooler. I know its now huge but its better than no intercooler Thanks. George
  2. I have a spare "Nissan Turbo" cover that I am going to get powder coated a different color and the Paul Newman signature put on it somehow.

  4. How do I know how much ignition timing I need to run?? Boost is altered and i have an intercooler.
  5. Hey, got the cooler installed the idle control hose running from about 2 inches away from the t/b on the top pipe. Could you please give me some pics of your motor with the idle stuff removed and tell me what else needs to be done?

  7. I have a spare 05L head off a L20et. I'm wanting to rebuild it. Can someone please tell me what valves, springs, lashes etc to use. I'd also like to get the cam mildly ground. Any suggestions? Oh and prices would be nice aswell. I can get a freshly rebuilt L28e head for NZD$250 (USD$160) if that would be a better option, as it would turn my L20et into a L28et. THats the other thing, is the L28et and L28e head the same? Regards, George
  8. Please tell me how to rebuild a nissan t3. i pulled mine off but couldnt get the exhaust housing off. can u help?
  9. Oh, also pull the starter off and put power to it, make sure everything is functioning how it should me.
  10. Check your wiring. Lots. Pull all fuses. Make sure the ground wire is on the starter!! ANd check condition of Starter to Alternator wire. Check the the coil is getting power and distributing it correctly.
  11. Can somebody show me a fuel/air map of a stock l28et ?? Why does it lean off at 4000rpm?
  12. I jsut went for a drive in my car (its running awesome!!). I stopped outside my garage just to check that everything under the bonnet was ok. And it was. I went to start the car again to put it in the garage and it wouldnt turn over. I hear the fuel pump prime, the dash lights come on and i can hear single click at the starter. But it wont turn over!! Whats going on here? Someone please help i gotta get it away.

  15. Fuel lines are good and not leaking, I did install a new fuel filter aswell. My man The turbo oil feed line is done up and doesnt appear to be leaking. But the turbo had been off motor and flange for the oil feed line hadnt been done up properly. I didn't realise this until I started it for the 1st time again and i checked under the car for leaks immediately and noticed a oil leak from the turbo. I quickly put a catch can under the drip turned the motor off. I torqued the bolts on the oil feed oil feed up. This oil leak caused my exhaust housing to be covered in oil. Do you mean a coolant leak from the head gasket on the manifold side? I do hear a loud ticking, like my injectors are noisier than they used to be. My exhaust manifold stud on number 1 is non existant, I need to retap or repair the hole. But! It doesnt smell like or look like its leaking from under there. Oh and I took took the inlet manifold off to check for leaks and retorque the bolts while I was at it. There appears to be no leaks between the manifolds or at the head gasket on either side of the motor. This morning I cleaned the oil off the exhaust housing of the turbo with degreaser. I took it for a blat and it didnt smoke when I stopped. But something smells kind of foul under the bonnet still. I also noticed that there is something up with my waterpump. When the motor is running you can hear (if you listen for it) a bearing or something around the front of the engine, I thought it was the alternator pulley, but it appears to be my water pump. I took the radiator cap off at 60 degrees and the noise stopped! My fan isnt running straight/smooth either, it is wobbly to a max of around 4mm.
  16. My car is running sweet, has a smooth idle, 19vacuum on idle. Boost is good. I have a little problem with the alternator belt, a pulley looks like its kinda wobbly (i think it may be the viscous fan) Anyway, after going for a boost. You can smell this weird odor, its nothing like exhaust fumes but its very potent. And there is alot of smokey vapor coming up from around the turbo. I have no idea what is it, I have just removed the inlet manifold and then reinstalled it and torqued all bolts up to specs... Help!!
