  1. well it turns out its fumes leaking from the turbo or somehting around that area i dont know what to do...

  3. what about the blinding glare of lights from a cop car at night time. or the sun when its blinding u so bad that u cant see and have to try to just look at the road more than anything else
  4. Instead of using injectors...Use window washer jets and hook the pump upto a switch or relay...Seems alot more logical to me. My R30 had a HUGE pump for the window washer jets so im assuming a Z car would have use the same style, so maybe you could use the Z car window washer setup for water injection? Oh water injector for what by the way? The intercooler?
  5. This would distract me!: Oh and neon lights here in New Zealand arnt illegal unless the source of the light (the bulb) is visible. Therefore its legal to have the beam/ray/glow (whatever you want to call it) visible. Are they totaly illegal in the USA?

  11. Yeah i checked with a timing light. Infact when i put the motor back together and ran it it was still spot on 20. On the sticker under the bonnet it says 20 BDC @ 650 RPM. Cap, wires, plugs and coil are new. Rotor is ok. I'm thinking maybe spark plug gap?
  12. that rubber booty thing is the switch for the coil. It must be grounded, try to clamp it down behind the coil bracket
  13. Yeah I kinda spilt oil on the turbo. but thats all burnt off now. If it doesnt go away what should I do? How do i check Ignition timing (is that dizzy timing? If so its set to 20 degrees). Fuel problem...i dont think so.
  14. I've just reassembled my motor. It runs pretty well. But on boost it doesnt feel like its really boosting as what the reading on the gauge is, feels like half of it. WHen urve gone for one quick boost, and then turn the motor off. There is smoke coming out from underneath the inlet manifold. During the reinstallation of the manifolds the 1st exhaust stud broke and I have no repaired it yet. Could this be the soruce of the smoke and lack of boost feeling? Regards, George
  15. How much was taht brand new RB26DETT from Nissan? And what currency? Can you get RB20dets etc?

  18. Does that really matter if its bigger? My l20et has a gasket with a bigger bore on it and i gained compression and it runs way better....:s
  19. So what do I do nick? feed it from somewhere else? Can i feed it from that pipe that goes into the turbo (that the afm is on)?
  20. The intercooler piping doesnt have a fitting for this hose like the factory j pipe does. What do I do with it? Bolt in end of hose with hose clamp round it?
  21. Whats the difference between front sump and rear sump? Is that were the bowl of the sump is? On my L20et's block, it has a pickup mount at the front and back of the block. Whats with that? the oilpickup is on the front and the sump bowl is too.
