  1. Only from Japan, my friend. Do you know where to buy one and how much it's going to cost??? Davy
  2. Don, I really like those Novas! That looks like a great car for the strip. What kind of a rear end you got in that thing? Tell us about the car!!! Davy
  3. You Bastar......... Davy
  4. If it is, in fact, a ZX that he is installing the engine into, the JTR position does not really apply. Greimann should know the answer: if the crossmember will interfere or not. Davy
  5. That's too funny, because I pulled the SAME one from a 70's Camaro in hopes that I would eventually make it fit the 240Z as well I think it can be done, although I really DON'T like the fact that they are made of plastic--may be easier to cut, but I like the idea of fiberglass through & through. What will you do about the protruding metal screws for fittment purposes? Just pull them out or cut them off? Also, the Camaro unit is too wide and slightly curved (I think?)--how are you going to handle this? I ask because I'm in the same boat. I like the idea of the Camaro unit because it sticks up a good ways and will look quite the part once it is fitted. Davy
  6. You get addicted to pushrod power (torque) don't you? Yes, I love 'big' American V8's because of the effortless power they rpovide from way down low--sends a shock through your system when it spanks the light Z car down the street. Gotta love the hair standing up on the back of your neck and the rush that follows; gotta do that again!! If I can ever stop spending money on other stuff, I'll have enough to get this custom EFI manifold done to work with the turbocharger for the V8--I gotta gets twisty!!!!!!!!!! Davy
  7. Terry, you are the master at fabbing cool stuff!!! Beautiful work; I love it!! You saved me an email by letting us know the 'secret' to doing the front lights and rear cut-outs. I had pondered this before and I could not come up with a decent way of doing it....until now! Thank you, thank you, thank you... Davy
  8. Uuugh, my head hurts from trying to remember all the geometry I took in school. Well, A squared + B squared = C squared and all that. Davy
  9. Wow, they look great and very unique on the car--I have not seen them before, yet I look at tuner magazines all the time. Nice pick!! Davy
  10. The porcky is not a slow car, and I can bet his sound system is better then yours!!! lol Nice kill Sometimes it comes down to the driver!!!!!!!!!!!!! Davy
  11. Yep, gotta love that factory turbo piping and stuff--I do! Try to find out more about the rear end on that Skyline; I'm curious to find out what 's up with it. Davy
  12. ...probably because it is not a gutted race car or Z car (for that matter) from the 1970s. They still have to put up with DOT crash regs, etc, not to mention all the sound insulation, stereo stuff and whatnot that makes the car liveable for the silent hero who drives to work everyday instead of racing his chariot every weekend. Davy
  13. I guess I don't 'get it' either, but it is fun to watch. Are drift 'races' judged like beauty pagents (all subjective) or are there times involved like in regular racing? Judging subjective stunt driving is probably harder to judge then a speed contest, but I digress... In truth, I would love to try my hand at this with someone else's tires Davy
  14. Sweet times--especially if you get that 1/2 second down or so, you'll be the recod holder for sure. Wish I could meet John Morton... Davy
  15. Wish you the very best, Mike. I hope your next deal is even more lucrative, but just don't forget us on the site when you buy a Porsche!!!!!!! Davy
  16. Well, since I live in the East Bay, the 'Silver & Black' theme is not too far fetched Alex, I'm glad you are diving into this thing full force! I think it will turn out pretty well once you get the motor sorted out. In my mind, that's the biggest variable...but f you have friends that rebuild them, well then that'a another story!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, I sorted out the rear end TODAY and I'll be prepping the car for the JTR install soon...oh wait, I don't have a cherry picker!!!!!!!! Aaaaarrgggg! lol Davy
  17. Yep, I agree. Don't look at numbers, look at the results. You have to love quarter mile times like that Davy
  18. That's the cheapest way to horsepower IMO. EFI is great, but it is a little more tricky to hook up. I'm just doing a modified 70's Camaro 350 with a T5 from an 80's Camaro. Going JTR all the way--I have done the research and for me it is the way to go. Like Pete said, buy the JTR book and read it before choosing any swap company. Davy
  19. Nice to know there are people out there that still care!! Davy
  20. The only time you would need to get the JB'd portion out of the block is when you would have to rebuild the block anyway; then just machine everything out of there, no big deal! Go for it! Davy
  21. Wikked looking diffuser. Someday I'll learn photoshop too I think that if you could make one for the car. it might actually help things---plus, it looks really cool under there. I do like the rice pipe too Davy
  22. Well Aux, You have heard a number of people weigh in; I think you have a lot of support from your friends and guys on this site. I think you should go for it. Now, please sell me your JTR stuff Davy
  23. I remember talking with Yuichi a little while ago, and he mentioned that the 240Z and 280Z Precision kits were different. So much so that the 240Z doors could not shut. The 280Z kits are supposed to be fine, so I hear, for use on the 240Z and the doors should shut nicely. I believe the kits are now marketed as the same part number. However, I'm not taking this as gospel because of what 2adz wrote above. Hrm. Makes me wonder. Davy
