Bryan, I'm wallowing in self-pity right now. That's basically the same paint scheme I had been dreaming about for my Z. My only recourse is to swap the colors and do black on the sides with silver on top. At least now I can laugh at my wife and show her that I do, in fact, have good taste since your paint scheme looks so good in reality. The car is Ricky Martin hot, man. It just rocks. Davy

Good platform to work on. You don't even need a Z, really. Just drop an LS2 into the Silvia and be done with it. You don't need a 4 banger Davy

Get well soon, John. Glad he's not dead. If you watch the video, there isn't much of his car left as it's skidding along the rail to the end of the strip---looks like an engine, front wheel, and that's about all. Not sure where his body was. Davy

Phil, The first thing I look at are the tires........and they are how old? If someone has a freak accident, ok, but if you neglect your tires and/or go with low quality ones The body damage is a result of that and it's too bad---looks like a lot of work now. Your window should be easily replaced and probably should be--doesn't your insurance company pay for broken windows with no deductible?? I think most good ones do and won't raise your rates. Davy

BINGO! That's just what I was thinking about. A dedicated track car certainly doesn't need it, but I would think a street car should have one. I don't think sarcastic answers prove anything here. The guy has an honest question, really. There wasn't enough detail in the original question to properly answer it. So, what is the car going to be used for? My car is primarily for the street and an occasional track day. I want the "creature comforts" haha, like the defroster. Heck, I'm thinking about AC since I moved to the Carolinas. Davy

Phil, Try this site for truck info. Also, an acquaintance of mine makes and sells disc brake conversion parts for Datsun trucks on this site. You have to look to find him. He's reputable and has pics of Brembo or 300Z brakes on his truck. The truck guys on the site are pretty passionate about their rides, similar to us. http://www.nwde.org/extras/forum/default.asp Davy
