  1. Checkers! Aluminum or magnesium? Davy
  2. I would email Ross Corrigan at Modern-Motorsports first and tell him about what's going on. Measure your studs (they're probably stock!) since there is NO reason I can think of for someone to install shorter than stock studs. I speak from experience that the stock S30 studs appear abysmally short, however they work just fine with most wheels. The ZX studs are probably just as short. Both should work with the MML adapters. Davy
  3. A simply fantastic car and very well put together. I like the whole package Davy
  4. FWIW, the Modern-Motorsports adapters work with no modifications to the hubs/studs. I would think these other adapters would work if they are made the same way...if they aren't it sure is a pain in the tookuss to have to do all that extra work. Let us know how it works out! Good luck. Davy
  5. That sounds like your friends want your CF hood to me. The CF hood is rather generic in color, frankly, and will look good with nearly any other color. If you don't believe me, check out all the riced-out Hondas out there which are EVERY color under the sun and have all sorts of CF hoods. Dig? Basically you can't go wrong with CF and any color IMO. Your Z would rock in the color you want to paint it. If the CF contrast bothers you sooooo much that you can't stand it, have it painted in a tinted clear, similar to what your car's color is--that would ROCK. Just my $.02 Davy
  6. Craig is a good guy and has a good outfit--I'd never hesitate to buy from him at all. He used to be a regular member of the board at one time. Good guy. Davy
  7. Dave, it looks pretty darn good to me. If you use an air-brush you can control the flow of the paint a bit more--this will help in doing T-shirts. Most durable T-shirt ink is part plastic or rubber and is applied with a sqeegee (sp?) through a silk screen. However, the big name low-brow artists of the '60's & '70's used air brush ink. I'm sure there is something more durable today. You can use this good design to make some & sell 'em. Davy
  8. Ummm, this whole site is dedicated to that kind of thing. You need to make good use of the search function, before asking the same questions that have been answered 1000 times--that way you won't get flamed. The 'kits' are from JTR, MSA, John's Cars, Scarab (Hooker), & custom one-offs. Google search each one and read read read. BTW, JTR is the most popular on this site. Welcome. Davy
  9. Cripes, man! That car is FAST!!! Small Block Power...and lots of it. Davy
  10. My hat is off to all the vets, especially the Vietnam vets, particularly since they got a raw deal. Gentlemen, WE SALUTE YOU! Davy
  11. Wow, the color, the body, the wheels, the whole package...I love it all. This is one seriously nice Z car Davy
  12. Bilster, click on the "Blue Oval Z Photo Documentation" link in Terry's signature---you'll be profoundly impressed with the information after each photo of the car and his description of what he did to make that "kit" happen. He is the Grand Master of Fiberglassing IMO. Davy
  13. It looks identical to the one that came on the stock '74 Camaro 350 SBC I bought for my Z. However, if Grumpy says to get it checked, you probably should. Sandblasting it would be a good idea too. Davy
  14. John, just to dovetail on EMWHYROHEN's question above, did you reinforce the firewall where the heim joints were bracketed to the firewall? Davy
  15. Try this: use "img" instead of "url" when you link the jpg. Hmmm, I'm wondering if the link needs 'jpg' at the end. Try what I suggest and see what happens. Otherwise upload the shots to HybridZ and link from there in what I just said---it should do the trick. Davy
  16. Nice work!! Looks great in that big swath of creamy orange Davy
  17. Ummm, I don't think that is such a great idea. I'm not sure exactly where the mold came from, but there may be moisture coming up from the concrete slab that contributes to the problem. I would knock out all the old mortar and use the tool described by Dale above. A tool & equipment rental pace should have them---just tell them what you want done and they'll steer you in the right direction. I have 18" travertine in my house and the upside to it is that it is drop dead gorgeous. The downside to it is that it is extremely brittle. If you drop a fork or knife, it'll actually make a hole and even stick in it! Also, make sure that the travertine is filled and relatively smooth on the bottom--if there are serious holes or pits underneath, those are the very weak places that will show when they crack from above from a ladies spiked--ask me how I know (no the shoe was not my own). However, the upside to all this is the repair. Holes can be filled in with mortar and then finally skim coated with a similar color non sanded grout to give a similar finish. I have not tried sanded grout to do a repair and I don't want to, especially if the finish is rougher than desired. Just my $.02 Davy
  18. Those are CCW's just like Yasin mentioned above. I have 16" x 8" on my 240Z. If you bend or break them, figure on $450-$650 per wheel at least. I'll be happy to trade you 2 of my CCW wheels for any two of yours so I can stagger mine Davy
  19. This is a good idea, period. Just make sure your chiro has ALL the information on what they found AND make sure you go to a GOOD one. There are ones that specialize in sports injury rehab, etc. They are good for the young & restless. Hahaha! Too bad they're NOT the anabolic kind!!!! If they gave prednisone to my granny, it ain't for making her look like Arnie. Get well & treat your body good. That way you'll make it to 40. Davy
  20. Man, I love the orange too! Looking very nice indeed. Davy
  21. Terry, I think it is "Alsil" which is short for Al Silvera. He shouldn't mind me posting his name here since he's a rock musician trying to get famous Terry, I love your "site" and the pictures of your car with all the information and descriptions of what you have done. What would be cool, but a lot of work for you, would be to make a build thread for yourself and put some of the important pictures on their yourself. The only other downside to doing this is that you'll get inundated with email and that it perhaps requires more fabrication (dare I say EXPERT fabrication) than the average swapper can do without serious skills. You, Pete, JohnC and a few others are the only ones I think of to pull of such a build. Most of us are shade tree Chevy JTR V8 swappers. BTW, we are discussing a build forum among the admin... Davy
  22. I train in Kajukembo and MBS (Mixed Boxing Style--similar to kick boxing). I'm not a blackbelt yet, but I hope to get there in a few years. We train also in some Escrima, although I just can't afford the time to do it all, so I've dropped the idea of adding Escrima to my list. I'm also into weight training and was doing a lot of bodybuilding, but have changed in the last six months to more martial arts targeted weight training. My wife trains in kickboxing and two of my kids that also train in Kajukenbo are competitive fighters. I prefer to fight rounds instead of point fighting. Rounds are closer to street fighting in my opinion. Davy
  23. Great photos Wickie! Thanks for posting. Keep up the photos!! Davy
  24. Thanks for providing that bit of information, Alan Davy
