  1. Thanks, guys--every bit helps. Oh yeah, the Z addiction is impossible to fight, usually leading to even more expensive car habits, kinda like going from morphine to heroin to kick the morphine habit! *Arg!* Davy
  2. I really liked the comic book when I was a kid. It inspired me to draw my own motorcycle superhero, Stiletto that went no where. My character had a dual purpose bike, black, wore all black leather and had 1 inch spikes on the gladiator wrist bands. It was pretty cool and more like the Punisher meets Ghost Rider. Thanks for posting the link---looks alright to me. Davy
  3. That was TOTAL deal!! Those old school Enkeis surface now and then, but almost never in the size you want. Nice! Davy
  4. None that I know of. My contact is busy with life and other things. I'm not sure of the outcome here. If I hear anything new, I'll make sure everyone is aware of it. If it was just me making these things, I'd be forthright and keep everyone updated. I'm glad I did not take any deposits. What has happened in the past on this site with guys promising parts, taking deposits or whole payments, and then disappearing makes my stomach turn. I am still trying to make this happen, but I'm not sure if my contact will come through--his life is more complicated than mine (that's enough said right there). If it was just me making these, I'd like to think I would have had a few finished by now. Davy
  5. That is by far THE nicest front end of any ZX I have seen to date. Almost makes me want to buy a ZX... Davy
  6. Renter's insurance is a good idea, especially if you value your possessions. Make that list complete!!! Hopefully you'll be reimbursed for everything properly. Most people forget everything that was affected (like clothes for example) and realize they've been shorted for the most part once the check arrives. A couple of suits is $1000. A few of your lady's bra's are $150 easy, maybe more. Hopefully most of your things can be salvaged. Wish you the best. Davy
  7. True, but I'm sure he'd listen to a number of guys wanting the same thing (group buy). He's a good guy and helps out his customers. I've purchased a few things from him and am always coming away satisfied in my purchase. Davy
  8. I'm using Firefox and I see pics. Davy
  9. If you guys want a group buy, you'll have to contact Ross directly. The fact that he has not answered the thread means that he has not seen it. ONe of you needs to email him about the possibility of what you want. Just my $.02 Davy
  10. Congrats, Vinh! Car sounds awesome I guess the 'hard' part is behind you and now it's just paint and body work? BTW, is this one yours or your friend's car? It's VERY cool. Davy
  11. The pictures and information is too good *sticky!* Davy
  12. Extremely clean car. I had an aquaintance in college who had one with 13" Panasports, lowering kit, etc. It was a nice little ride. Yours is just waiting to be modified Davy
  13. I'm sure he enjoyed the chance to rip the shirt off. He's probably thinking to himself, "Great! I always wanted to do this in front of a captive audience!" Too gratuitous for me. Davy
  14. Heal quickly and do not do that again!! Davy
  15. Nice modifications! The new door handles look much at home on there, even more so than I would have guessed. They almost look like *gasp* Honda door handles! Nice work, Mate. Davy
  16. Wow, he just got his car sorted out and now the poor guy's dead two months later. I feel for his family and friends. How old was he, Tyson? Davy
  17. Paul, I love the backend shot of the car and I'm wondering where in the blazes you were able to procure those flares? Ghastly wide and I love it. Also, this November's issue of Car Craft had a picture of an old Edelbrock X-C8 intake manifold which has two 4 barrel inlets, equidistant from the front and sides...it would make for one heck of a engine...twin blowers atop a Chevy engine in the bay, mmmm. Davy
  18. Wow, I love the stunning silver paint; it looks like a Porsche color, am I correct? Scarab engine placement, nice low key looking V8 with just the right amount of chrome, almost factory looking. Great car! Davy
  19. Pretty good video that you made. The music goes well with it! Davy
  20. Man, you guys are making it happen! Kudos to all who have given freely without needing a truckload of admin coming over with bats! You guys rock! We'll try to get an update to see if we've met our goal yet. I think we still have a bit to go though. Davy
  21. I'm fairly computer illiterate (ask Auxiliary ) ....I'm just a pseudo-economist. Oh yeah, Auxilary can actually turn a wrench or two Davy
  22. Bwahahahaa! That's rich! I'll weigh in an say this was a waste of car IMO. Both cars were happier apart. I see this as kind of a bad marriage--like Rosanne Bar marrying Jesse James--It makes you think, "WTF?!?" Davy
  23. Bust. Austin, I emailed you before about these, remember? If you scrape one up again, I'm still game. Davy
  24. You did what we would have done, so no worries. The Healeys make good swap candidates too Here are the pictures I promised. Sorry about the time lag. Apologies to the bandwidth impared. Davy
