  1. Oh yeah, congrats on getting this far, Bill!!! Davy
  2. You've got to be kidding' date=' no? Well, I shouldn't point fingers or anything; my favorite drink is Jagermeister, which most people hate. I just don't see the point of ruining a good Shiraz [i']to make what is essentially a wine cooler.[/i] Hmmm, on second thought, I have some cheap Australian Shiraz that I'll experiment with. Davy
  3. About 2 years ago Auxilary and I bought an autocross 240Z from a guy in Daly City, the fog capital of the world. Where the dew and salt water came in the cracks, it had eaten holes straight through the car, as if some poured hydrochloric acid in the seams and down it went! My gosh, a good car completely ruined just because of some salt water... Davy
  4. Bwahahaahaa! Man, this is getting better & better! Davy
  5. That must be on a streched Fiero chassis because it looks much better than some I have seen in the past. This one looks like it was made correctly. The engine didn't look right until it dawned on me that it is the back of the motor. I'd drive it Davy
  6. Scott, you might want to do a Google search and find out what you can about the heads. I know that Jegs heads are made by Canfield (if memory serves), which are good heads, and I suspect that Powerhouse has one of the manufacturers make one for them. Don't they give flow numbers or anything? You should be able to compare the data with others that advertise theirs and make a quality decision after that. Hopefully someone here knows. Also, there are numerous Chevy forums on the net that could possibly help you. Have you called Powerhouse to ask them who makes them? They might actually tell you. Davy
  7. Hmm, I just read somewhere in CarCraft of Hot Rod, one of the magazines out there, that it does make a difference. I was hoping you had read the same thing and would tell me too since my gear drive didn't come with any instructions either! LOL Well, maybe there is no difference... Davy
  8. I'm amazed by those hubs and I have seen them in person--they are true works of art. The finish is far better than what they'll be suited to where (again) no one will see them! Nice stufffff Davy
  9. Doc, you forgot to mention the middle gears and how they go in: one is slightly bigger than the other! The larger of the middle gears goes on the...right or left? Davy
  10. Looking good in black! Welcome! Davy
  11. Subtle it is not...looks completely wicked! You'll be proud when it is finished! (I'd be proud of the parts thus far). Davy
  12. I agree. The magazines here deal with the top top top end cars that cost some big money and typically have all kinds of tuner shops behind them. What we do not have is a magazine dedicated to older modified cars that clean, but not 'bling' territory so to speak. They are clean ones you WANT to own and are not afraid to drive around (unlike the trailer queen masses you see in the magazine) I NEVER see the cars that make it into the magazines drive around town. Sure they show up at the car shows and such, but beyond that, they have a life in someone's garage being polished with a diaper. I found some good old school tuner magazines in Germany like the ones you saw in Die Schweitz. I wish we had the same thing here: real cars for real people. I know the Brits have similar magazines too. Davy
  13. ROTFLMAO! Yeah, all granny's stuff!!! That's a great idea!!! 2:1 odds say Okimoto's granny can collect things faster than he is able to complete the car... Davy
  14. Bummer! Anyway, that car is just going to be insane. My guess is that it will outdo Mikelly's soon to be Viper Wow, the best of both worlds; so this is how the other half lives? 'kA ching' Davy
  15. If they can incorporate more Datsuns in the magazine, I would totally go for that. The original magazine (Z Car Magazine) was great and seemed to feature a number of HybridZs in each issue, but I thought the magazine lost its luster after the CD ROM version debacle. I still supported it and always looked for a HybridZ with each issue. The newer cars just don't interest me much, but if there was a magazine dedicated to just the older vintage Datsuns 1200s, Roadsters, 510s, pickups, and Z cars, I'd be all over it. You'd figure that between the above mentioned vehicles that there would be enough interest to keep a magazine going. Newer cars? Feh. Davy
  16. This is not allowed, but you could rent a public storage space (big enough to park a car in) and come in every now and then to work on the car. I don't know if there are electrical outlets there, so lighting or power tools might be a problem, but if the storage place is huge, a space at the rear of the business, far away from the office would be my choice. Davy
  17. I'm currently working with a fellow on producing some, but he is having the darndest time getting the top bracket to work in fiberglass. They are not yet near completion, unfortunately. If you want stock panels w/o any speaker provisions, John Washington at Reaction Research sells them. They are pricey. Davy
  18. Wow, nice work! They're so clean it's almost a shame to mount them on the car where no one will see them If you document with a bit more detail (hey, you already have pictures) we can "sticky" or FAQ the thread. Davy
  19. Yeah, just like those ugly Ferrari GTO wannabe kits for the S30! Shoot, these kits are getting better and better IMO--I'd take any of them. I like it! Davy
