  1. Tell her you need a great amount of room and that you'll be happy to help her rent out a storage space to take all her stuff to. Sort it out after (or before) you move the stuff and take the unnecessary items to the dump. I'm thinking seriously about renting a storage space to put some things in. My garage is only marginally better than yours. I don't have things stacked to the ceiling though Davy
  2. LOL, no you really just need a ladder! You can hang a ladder out of the way until you are ready to use it. I have garage situation similar to Okimoto's, but we're not pack rats, we just have 5 kids and too many projects. Gotta finish those projects! We're probably going to rent a storage space to move all the stuff into whilst I paint the floor and tidy up. Nice clean garage BTW. You did a great job, but do you have TUNES??? Gotta have a stereo hidden in there somewhere... Davy
  3. I think they are Compagnolo or Compomotive. If the latter, I don't think they are in production any longer (hope I'm wrong), BUT if they are the former, then you might be in luck, but be prepared to shell out some serious $$$$ for them! Davy
  4. The overwhelming garishness of these ‘show’ cars really turns me off. When I see people looking at cars like these, I’m reminded of some small animals that like to look at shiny things. Attracting people at a show just because the car is so outlandish doesn’t necessarily mean it has been done in good taste. On the contrary, it looks the complete opposite. I think we could draw endless analogies from this, but instead I’m enjoying the evil, pure mockery of their ideas. Davy
  5. Dan, Mull is making a joke... Oh, and Happy Father's Day. Davy
  6. Wheels= Custom Polo ‘776’ • 20” Rear and 18” Front with 40 series tires! CCW's are NOT stupid looking like those Chinese pieces of junk they have on the car!! The CCWs are lcool like the ones on this classic Vette below: Davy
  7. Aren, this was for a T5 and SBC, SBF, Datsun, what? Looks great BTW! Ah, never mind, I went through some of your old posts and it looks like you have an L6? Why did you need to do that for the T5? Was it because this T5 was not specific to the Datsun? Davy

    Tokyo Drift...

Yes, that's right before the floorpan falls out and a "danger to manifold" idiot light starts to flash. That's exactly the kind of stuff I was talking about. My friend, only alcohol cures some of the pain my brain goes through watching tripe like that and... ...as savageskaterkid just mentioned, it's only a movie! A bad movie, hence the alcohol comments. The more imbibed, the more palpable it becomes Davy
  9. It's not "ricey" in the least. Those 'angel eyes' lights came from high end European cars first. They look good on the car IMO. Davy
  10. Search for posts by dmanzo and email him. He lives in Gilroy and may know of a shop or person that could help you. Davy
  11. Yep, all tongue-in-cheek stuff; good thing he can poke fun at himself. I like his products for the most part--tasty stuff. Davy
  12. Ewww, I cut off my brother's thumb in the same manner but with a lawn mower (don't ask). I hope it does not give you too much trouble in the future! Hope you heal quickly! Oh yeah, welcome back Davy

    Tokyo Drift...

Pete, I watched the first one (rented the DVD) and was mildly amused by it--I could not believe how much BS there was about the cars themselves. I will NOT see any of the others. If you decide to ever take the plunge and see these movies and you are relatively intelligent/engineer type, make sure you are on some medication or alcohol to protect yourself!! Davy
  14. How about a good used one from zbarn.com? Otherwise MSA or Blackdragonauto should have a new one, if memory serves. Davy
  15. Why don't you get some synthetic suede leather to work with for the interior. The stuff looks great, lasts longer than real suede and is used by a number of high end car manufacturers. Just a thought. Davy
  16. Guys, everyone starts learning about a subject from ground zero. It may be basic, but at least he is asking the question WITH a picture no less! We all started that way--don't forget that. He's taking the time to ask questions and do it correctly, in addition to using decent written English, so give him a break... Davy
  17. Saw that today too---makes me want to buy it...only $1200?!?. If we can get him down to say $900 cash, it might be a fun runner for the summer Davy
  18. Brandon, my guess is that you need Modern-Motorsports spacers for "Honda" offset wheels. They are for FWD car, correct? If so, they are pretty standard for MML spacers. Just my $.02. If these are 5 lug, Ross can have some made pretty quickly in the 5 lug pattern for you. I can't tell from the pics BTW. Davy
  19. Oooooh, new wallpaper for my computer at work!! Great picture!! Davy
  20. Looking good so far. I suggest you decide whether or not you want this to be a street car or a race only car. Ah, but I catch myself since I was going to say, "You can't really do either on the cheap with a 280Z since it still falls under the biannual smog check in CA..." but this totally depends on what year the car is so, WHAT YEAR IS THE CAR? Sounds like you have a good plan already for the car and it'll do fine. Cage it after you get the swap done--words of wisdom there---heed them. Davy
  21. Haha! Man, that's too funny, Michael. Good to see it is running under its own power. What more will you have to do after the tuning? I mean, it's basically finished, right? Davy
  22. Hmmm, looks like when the software dumped the members who have not posted in a while (over 1-2 years?) that it cleaned up the list as well. Too bad--the list is more useful with more, not less, data. That's my guess anyway. Davy
  23. Ah yes, good old Dr. Dimento. There were some great song from that radio show. Davy
  24. Pete, I can totally relate (but not the surgery part). I made friends with my chiropractor and go see her once a week--she charges under $200 per month to keep my spine & neck in order. This is after I finished the intial (read: expensive) phase of the treatment. I also get 2 massages out of the deal too Take care of yourself! I hope you have a speedy recovery with no more of these spasms. Davy
