  1. It is good practice with this representative to add about a month or so to whatever he says. It is sad, but unfortunately true. I don't think the rep. understands that there will always be waiting times tagged on and delays, especially with a completely custom/from scratch setup. If you guys absolutely cannot get through to the rep, send me your email and your name and I will see if I can find out what is going on with your specific order. I was told though that most of these wheels were shipped (I assume to him, but maybe we will have a pleasant surprise...) a week or so ago, so unless you have a burning need for more information than that (I don't blame you all for this either, I would feel the same in this situation), please just sit tight.
  2. 335>135 They practically weigh the same for heavens sake.
  3. I agree with the above comment. It just doesn't jive with me. There are ALOT of wheels out there, it just takes a little more work to find the right set.
  4. People have already done it and people are currently doing it. I don't know how light or small the Northstar is. I doubt it is as small as an OHV design or as light as something like the Buick. There are longitudinal mount Northstars, but they are newer and thus more expensive. Might look into the modular Ford's. I think someone put a DOHC version in but it is a very tight fit.
  5. For a while my thermostat was stuck open, then I started getting into cars and repaired it. The car runs great. Only problem with the EFI really was a bad replacement ECT I installed. I get around 21 highway at 72mph so I am really not about to be complaining.
  6. Thats a really good point. Go get Vin to sign it or something too. Hmmm... Probably too late.
  7. I wonder how the inter cooling is going to work? Air -> Water?
  8. Triple post? I think the whole point is just be civil, respectful, and contribute when posting. Only 3 things really being asked when you get down to it. Not that hard. Shouldn't require an entire thread, alas it is difficult for some at times (myself included).
  9. I enjoy this party and find that as I have grown up (I believe I joined when I was around 15 years old), I have actually carried a decent amount of respect and tact that I have learned HERE from observing posts and such into my everyday life. I am ahead for it. I appreciate it and keep it up.
  10. Just in case someone else with EEC-IV has a similar issue. I was just digging through old things and stumbled across this one. Well the reason why the HC's are high was because the engine coolant temperature sensor was reading way low. It only got worse after that smog check until the engine was stumbling and I found it out using my digital voltmeter. The sensor was reading 68 degrees of coolant temperature when the engine was at 185 degrees... that was when I yanked it. Problem solved. There are two replacement sensors you can get at Kragen, I believe both from Neihoff. One is a composite plastic of sorts, the other is metal (brass?). Don't buy the plastic one... we will see about this brass one in some time. If it fails, then I am going straight to OE.
  11. Interesting, is this on OEM LCA's? Is it possible the camber changed?
  12. Well it does very much sound like this is probably your issue more than anything else...
  13. Your post was answered in the group buy thread. Please post there about buying these wheels. Thanks
  14. Yes you can. Read the last few pages of this group buy thread. There are two styles. The RB and the RB-R. The RB looks more like a Panasport and is in production now. The RB-R will be a bit more deep dish and should look a bit different in styling, those will be available for order in the near future. If you want the RB's they are available right now, just contact Kim Bong: kimcosmic@juno.com The price is $750 shipped in the continental USA. The lag time is ~1 month from what I hear. Please do specify to the representative if you want 17x9" front or 17x9.5" all around. There may be some interference issues with a 17x9.5" all around and I would advise the 9" front. You will need to run an air dam or trim the valance for these wheels to fit. They clear stock suspension though. If you want the RB-R's your going to have to wait a bit until I post the ordering information. They will cost $750 as well, but the manufacturer is not ready to accept orders at this time. Hope that helps!
  15. Hmm. Are you guys running OE axles that are flipped or are you running rebuilt axles from the parts store?
  16. I don't know what NHMS is, but I meant what would be the benefit to running a Z32 brake setup over a Wilwood setup for instance?
  17. There has been ALOT of discussion about Z32 caliper flex on this forum. As for conversions using Z32 calipers, I don't know. I wouldn't bother, what would the benefit be?
  18. No clue what it was set at. I ran the motion using a floor jack under the strut. Actually in this case I bottomed the coilover out before jacking so it didn't raise the car. The control arms has the golden colored tube pointed at a full 90 degrees for maximum distance. I didn't even bother touching the rod ends to adjust track and such. I just did a quick check. Didn't have an issue.
  19. I have the billet AZC rear arms and the MMS adapters with flipped 300zxt CV's. There is no bind at all. I haven't adjusted the lower arms though.
  20. Yes it probably will. Does it just look like the CV's are flipped or ARE the CV's flipped? This obviously matters... Are you sure you have the drivers side CV on the drivers side of the diff and visa versa?
  21. Interesting. When I tested this I did not have any air dam clearance issues, only stock valance issues if stock valance was fitted. Hmmm. How far is your car lowered? Which air dam are you running?
  22. Good find! I just Ebayed a 3.36 R200 for $375. The market has definitely gone down for these things. I don't think you need to worry since it is so rare, but I would still put a reserve. I am definitely not selling my other 3.36 R200 right now. Not a good time it seems.
  23. This is what I wrote when I was thinking about the Wilwood front and 240sx (probably similar to 280zx) rear. Make sure to read the last post as well. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=128619&highlight=proportioning
  24. I have looked back over this. I am pretty sure the math up top is wrong. I did need to indeed halve my results for the 4 piston calipers. This makes the 1.75" 4 pot front to .99in 240sx rear ratio somewhere around 83% to 17% at static. This still seems far off from the ~65% to ~35% obtainable with the standard 1.75" front and 1.38" rear. Infact at full 57% reduction this setup biases about 16.1% rear ward. Which is very close to what the 1.75" fornt and 240sx rear is at when STATIC. Just some food for thought.
