  1. 1700 -2000 miles I have to gustimate cause my speedo wasnt working for a little bit. But def not more than 2000.
  2. I wouldnt think it would get any better the a R.I.P.S. build. Everything is out now, so its no longer a rips Anyone can assemble them, but not to his specs and attention to detail, Although I think i will debur the inside of this block, its ugly and quiet scary looking. The number one piston is out of round by 8 thousandths. and the crank is egged. So for sure needs a new crank and rod. Anyway, more disassembly pics.

  7. Hmm measuring crank rod journal... I/m getting 49.657mm.... Why the hell would this have +.25mm bearings when standard calls for min of 49.961mm and max size of 49.974mm. hmmmm.
  8. I'm not real familiar with the rb25 but does that have an ignitor? that was a common problem on the rb26s. I put aem externail coils to get them out of the heat and ditched the ignitor.
  9. got off at the next exit about a mile and shut it down. "The crank will already be at 0.25mm, it was ground to suit each individual pair of bearings (so no set sizes as such) and with the heat/damage it has I wouldn’t recommend trying to go to 0.5mm and I doubt it would clean up anyway. Rob"
  10. Hmmmmm. I am measuring 1.9590-1.9630 on this number one rod journal. and supposedly it has +.25 bearings. Min STD is 1.9670 Max STD is 1.9675.

  12. No, no way to find out either. Steady state cursing with no loss in oil pressure. Fucked if I know. Im done with it though.

  14. Crank is shot, number 1 rod shot. Looking like V8 time. Same price for a fix as the original. Im not doing that again. This one didn't even make it 2000 miles. Joel please fix my title, i dont want anything to do with this.

  16. Any issue with the chassis bending? did you reinforce it before you cut it?
  17. My diesels dont know this loud, im sure something is toast. Engine is out and will start stripping tomorrow.
  18. Has anyone done a removable front core support? I need to simplify the this area and it would help with engine removal too. No room for all my piping and crap.
  19. We will see shortly, ready to come out tomorrow, start stripping it down. Waiting to hear from Robbie, but not much he can do in NZ. Its mechanical, shit fails, its life.
  20. Bad day today, huge bottom end noise. I changed oil from rotella 15w40 to royal purple 15w40 yesterday. Today I have a destroyed block I believe. Stay away from that shit. More later, time to get really really drunk. Edit, plugs are intact, hopefully the head and above is undamaged. Edit 2, very fine metal dust in oil filter. Engine rebuild time yet again. Might just sell it and get a GTR. Edit 3, Engine ready to come out tomorrow, just gotta pull the downpipe and driveshaft. At least i have a firewall disconect for the wiring, thats nice... Crying inside so much it is coming out as sweat. Oh wait its hot as hell here.
