  1. This is in a '74 260. 2 days ago I was cruisin' down the street and my temp gauge started to rise. I got home and checked all my fluids and they were fine. The engine was barely warm, but the guage had spiked. Then on my way to work, every time I hit the brakes or turned on a blinker I would hear a "click" over by the fuse box and everything would shut off. Then another "click" and everything was back on. By the time I got back home, that click was shutting the whole car off then turning it back on. Do I have a short in my fuse box or is there another problem somewhere else? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. gb20
  2. Here in Vegas, that's just about a daily occurance. It has been 3 years of that and it's not even close to getting old. Oh the joys of working on the strip.
  3. So I double and triple checked the install instructions and the only place I deviated was that I disconected the negative battery cable before begining. But, my clock works so it was just about worth the price. Now my car is unique. gb20
  4. Would this kit be able to create a short? With it on there are big sparks, but once I took it off there were no problems. Do I dare try to install it again without disconecting the negative terminal?
  5. As soon as it sparked I disconected it, removed the kit and there was no spark. My radio does'nt work, but after the sparking, my clock works again. gb20
  6. I just bought this to see if it would help some grounding issues. When I installed it, I first disconected the negative battery terminal, then did the instalation. As soon as I touched the terminal back to the battery, it sparked. I read back over the instructions and noticed it didn't say to disconect the negative. Could this be why it sparked once it was put back on? Why would it matter, and what happens if I need to disconect the battery later on? Thanks for any help and for your time. Here's the kit:http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEIC07/12-4168 gb20
  7. So I got the motor in, it works (a big deal for a major noobie like me), but the linkage seems to be rusted on the driver side. It's the part that screws onto the cowl, and the wiper connects to. I pulled it out, shot it with wd-40 and it won't move. What's the best way to break the rust free and get it moving? Should I just get a new linkage? If so, where do I get one?
  8. Shoes in trees or power lines = drugs (usually). On the side of the road, well, maybe they just got a new pair, and it was to much to ask for them to make a trip to the garbage.
  9. Nice! How are you going to attach it? Quick ? I have tried a few 'glass pieces, but I always get bubbles. How do you aviod this? If there is a web site that could help, or another thread, please point me in the right direction. Again, very nice dash. gb20
  10. I just got the honda motor and am ready to get some wipers going, but what size nut does it take?
  11. As long as the baby is in the front seat, not the back cargo hold, I'm quite sure it's legal.
  12. Personally, I think you should be cool about it. That stuff happens occasionally. Call and let them know about it so they can fix later orders, but don't try to get something for it.
  13. Yep. My hamstring is very weak and very tight. Up until about a month ago I couldn't hold my leg at a 90* angle without it cramping up. That's where the massage has helped the most. I get my legs worked once a week, and although it hurts, I can feel more strength and I can move a lot better. Just make sure you listen to when the Dr. says you can start physical activity and you should be good.
  14. I had to have an a.c.l. repaire done. Did pretty much the same thing. They drilled a hole in my femur (thigh), and one in my tibia (shin), then took a piece of hamstring tendon to replace the a.c.l. I now have 2 titanium screws in me plus my left is still noticably weaker, even after 5 years. With that, is good to have your body work properly. Don't forget to get massage. It makes more of difference than you may think, and most insurance companies will pay for it if it's medically related.
  15. You can tell there was some money spent on it, but it is still porn star acting (although, not too bad). I would say it's worth the money. You get 3 disks and a movie you can watch more than once. Oh, not to mention some good girl on girl scenes (my wifes favorite, really).
  16. I actually own that movie. As far as XXX goes, it's actually a good movie, not just people going at "it". Just watch it to be entertained and you will be. Oh, and it's my wifes favorite. Makes for a very good night.
  17. It happened to my wife and I. Been married 4 years next month, with a 2 year old boy. We are still young (only 24) so our son will be out by the time we are 39-40, and we will be able to enjoy the best part of life, having the experience of life, while being young enough to still have fun. And by the way, the T.P. roll should always roll from the top!
  18. During the busy season (March- mid June) 20-24hours. Slow season (the rest of the time) 8-10 hours. I am at work for 24, but only get paid when I give a massage. Reading how much the rest of you work, I feel quite lazy. Time to go to the gym so I can say I at least did something.
  19. Damn! Forgot that was last night, and took my son to Over The Hedge. What happened?
  20. I hope someone got slapped for that mess.
  21. Free at work. State of the art equipment and facilities all for free, does it get any better?
  22. Addiction. Basically, that's what all these are, our addictions. gb20
