  3. 55F...you guys dont know how good you have it!!! I once had to start a VW golf at minus 43C! The clutch froze after I got it into first and I had to run stop signs till it warmed up and released. I was WAY up north so traffic wasnt a big deal.
  4. Thanx Cameron.....I will check this out as well as I have an Aeorquip distributor close by. Much appreciated Jerry
  5. Hey Toad, that looks extreme! Nice work.
  6. Thanx all...I will look into earls and teflon. Im not concerned with weight or cost ......just looks , ease of install and function. Cheers
  7. Theyd probably kill you.....but what a way to go.
  8. It runs well ....but I have to admit I have never had it out in real sub zero cold weather. I drove it till late fall and it was out on a few coldish mornings. The idle took a bit longer to get super smooth on startup but it wasnt a big deal at all......if you didnt know the car I dont think youd notice. I took the following approach ....try and see. Simple and effective. haha...
  9. What colour is the tanny fluid
  10. Och that video just about made me cry! Wish it was me. The RBZ is being worked on and the 350 roadster is parked away till April. I gotta get me one of those cheap ebay video recorders! Great tune!
  11. There you go teflon ! Its funny, when I started searching for braided fuel lines I assumed they were all teflon lined...I didnt know better as I have never used braided line....except brake lines. Then I see all these sectioned photos and to my surprise I see thick rubber?? I have a parker dist. down the street here...what type of fittings did you use for the teflon lines Jody? Thanx Jerry BTW, nice car Jody...the small block install looks clean and sounds great.
  12. I was thinking this very thing....what brand did you use?
  13. I searched earlier and never came across that one.....Why?
  14. Are there any safety concerns with running braided line from the gas tank right up front? Im thinking of doing so in an attempt to clean up as much as I can underneath the Z Thanx
  15. All do respect to Jon..I have reused lash pads. Its not best practice but its done and I've never had a problem.
  16. I would like to buy one....any left?
  17. They look great, please take a pic from further back for a better perspective?
  18. I bought my current Z from a field.....Its surprising what can be done. But I dont think Id do it again....Id start with a better car.
  19. I removed mine fom the Rb20 and it starts and runs fine. Mind you I have a Power FC and may have tuned the problems out.
  20. Hey Heavy85....If Im understanding this correctly...the cross brace is bolted to the transmission tunnel for quick removal? Nice work! If you have run it yet.... did it make a big difference?
  21. I have one more to share ...not car related but engine related never the less....Lawn Mower! Along with a few other small repairs I changed the pull cord on a mower. I decided to see if I could start it up before replceing all the covers. It was one of those hard pull mowers, so I placed my foot on top and yanked the cord hard. REAL HARD! The next thing I recall see was the 5" diameter metal disk flying at my head! A split second later I did a full back flip hit the ground face down with blood everwhere!! I FORGOT TO REPLACE THE NUT that secures the pull pully! I was about 17 at the time and my mom was standing right there...she started doing one of these.......so I covered the spot on my face that hurt the most...the right eye. Due to the amount of blood and pain I honestly believed I had lost my eye and refused to show mom as I figured I needed a drive to to hospital and didnt want to freek her out completely. I ran to the bathroom in a daze...took a deep breath and checked out the damage in the mirror. Thank goodness....the pully hit me right in the eyebrow and split the area wide open. Several hours and 7 stitches later I was back home with a huge headache.... tightening down the efen nut! It healed perfectly and you would never know it happened...but wow , imagine if it was half an inch lower! Somebody was looking over me that day! Oh ya...I dont fix lawn mowers any more....I just buy new ones.
  22. You dont need studs. Just get a good set of snows. Driving in snow can be alot of fun once you get the hang of it. Its like drifting without the wheel distruction. Saying that...I would never drive my 71 in the snow, around here they use salt on the roads. Salt = Rust.
  23. Two things come to mind.....the time I was holding the exhaust up while somebody was unbolting it from the car. At this point it was unbolted and just hanging there. I had an itch so I went to scrtach it .....just as my bud gave a small tug on the system. You can guess......the thing hit me square in the face...it hurt bad..... with minor bleeding ....no stiches. The second time was when I was jacking up the car. I was pissed because I missed something so I was pumping the jack like a cazy fool to make up time. The handle slipped out of the lift and I slammed my little finger into the concrete floor at about 90 MPH. It took two weeks for the swelling to go down.......haha.
