  1. Stick a wrench on one with the tranny in neutral and spin a tire the correct direction to loosen them. Maybe unbolt the swaybar for more access. I can do it with my 7/8" rear bar so it is definitely doable, just really slow. Mario
  2. It got featured on Autoblog! http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/07/chicago-2008-alton-f-650-xuv-makes-a-big-statement/ Nice work! Mario
  3. For the BSFC, if you click on the "more" link it will show you ball park numbers to choose from. .55 seems decent to use. Mario
  4. Take the passenger mirror off, you don't need it! Or get fender mirrors maybe? Mario
  5. Does this computer control fuel and spark or is it a piggy back? If it controls both then no, the injectors weren't firing. If this fuse provides power to the injectors as well, it might be too small. On a friend's car with 380cc injectors, we had to use a 15 amp fuse on just the injector circuit (the megasquirt box just needs a small 3 amp fuse). Mario
  6. Ha! First one was DOA. Gotta wait 3 days for another. They cross ref the part to the $32 Autolite at the store. It comes out to $30 WITH the core charge. $20 after. If the next one is DOA, I'm getting my original one rebuilt locally... Maybe I should print a PDF of the page out so that others can get this deal too... (if I get a working one). Mario
  7. You're lucky your junkyards are so "reasonable". Haven't been able to drive the Z cuz the starter went out, but at least I can drive the daily with one hand. For $140, why not buy a whole engine, part it out, and use a bare block as a mock up so you can build the other one up while you get the thing mounted in there? It's about $500 for a VH here from a u-pull-it... Mario
  8. Relay harness? Which part? MS box to relay board? Relay board to sensors/etc? MS box to relay board is straight through. Relay board pinouts have been posted here and are available from the manufacturer. Mario
  9. Pits can be detonation damage as well btw... How's working on stuff with the broken finger? It slows me down a lot but atleast its healed enough where i don't need a splint! Mario
  10. Is it bolt on? This would make for an easy 5 lug conversion... Mario
  11. 93 Sentra B13 SE-R. Used to get 26-28mpg city. Now with that pulse driving technique I might break 30mpg! Depending on your size and the year, the Miata might be too small. The thing I don't like about it is the very limited trunk space... Especially if you keep a spare tire in it. On the other hand, I can fit an L engine in my sentra just by removing the manifolds... Legends are pricey to repair, and finding a manual one is really hard (if that even matters...). I'd go 240sx -> Miata -> Sc300. I'd love a e36 BMW but at this age they are starting to be neglected. Mario
  12. Search for a r154 on car-part.com I remember there being quite a few on your side of the US a while ago. Mario
  13. Why the lean on the radiator? I was under the impression that the air flow through the IC becomes very turbulent soon after exiting and so you need to put the rad and IC as close together as possible as the turbulent air will not go through the rad. Mario
  14. You could get it, rip it to a computer, convert it to NTSC, the burn it again... Other then that I have no idea. Mario
  15. In my B13 Sentra SE-R I've been managing to squeeze out 28mpg city and 38 highway... Dunno how really... I think the acetone might work if you have gummed up injectors and what it does is clean them allowing your engine to be more efficient... Mario
  16. 280zforce, Do you have the wider one in the front as well? I have a friend with no internet access building a TT LS1 car thats been looking for that exact flare. I could give you his contact info as I'm sure he'd be interested in a set. Mario
  17. Cut the endtanks then add a little more the 2 inches to each side and that should bring it damn close to fitting perfectly. Just measure twice first. Mario
  18. someone, maybe it was rontyler, posted on how to do that by drilling one on the z31 trigger wheel. Mario
  19. Lucky... I'm going to put your diet to the test haha Mario
  20. I'm a sucker for the clear one but the other one matches the rest of your engine better... Mario
  21. HAHAHAHAHA you have to be kidding me!!! I (or more like my roommate) broke my middle finger on my left hand at the same place on Friday. The tip bone was broken all the way in half by his car door... God that hurt... it happened when we got home after seeing Rambo on Friday, didn't get to go to my track day yesterday or finish installing my Recaro =( Hope it heals fast, I have to see the hand surgeon in like a week. Mario PS how long were you in the ER for? it took them almost 5 hrs to see me. I was tired and in pain in the waiting room...
  22. Yea, I had actually read that thread before posting. Are sanctioning bodies ok with this though? This won't come into play for a while now as my roommate broke one of my fingers.... Mario
  23. Cool man looks great! What I meant was the s30 section under tech not projects. This place gets more traffic anyways Sweet Z! Mario
  24. I think it's been discussed but these camden ones were made to be run wet even tho lots of people run them dry. Mario
