I have to agree with you Ron. I have a hard time finding the shots I want to take because it's as though everything has been done already. And especially here in Iraq everything is...well...tan and I'm a vivid color type of photographer and nothing here pops out at me.

Well then, here's to you (foliage is real this time )...

I would liked to have set this up on a tripod, stopped the aperture down a bit (to crisp-en the water), but it was windy so it would have been for not. We take what we can get, eh?

It's been a while since I've had the honor to post something. I was out in SF yesterday afternoon and decided to give the "super low beans and rice budget" camera I bought the girlfriend a few months ago. I think it's a.... panasonic? Nothing spectacular, but here's what I was able to get out of it with some dying batteries.

I wasn't considering posting this until I took notice of the tourist that made it into the shot... now I just laugh at it.

This was my favorite of the day. Wish I'd had more juice to play around with angles some more.

Looks good corpcrim, though I'm not sure how valid my opinion is. ;)

Also chb280z, nice shot! Don't find views like that every day.

...ok, so why am I posting?... because I just couldn't leave that shot I liked alone, so now it looks something like this today:

This was the World's tallest Sitka Spruce tree, located near the highway between Portland and the coast. It broke during a storm last winter. :cry2: I think the current tallest Sitka is now somewhere in the former Soviet Union.

Some cool pics along the Wilson River, located in the Coast Range hills. Also showing how much Spanish Moss grows everywhere in the PacNW!!
