Hey, I have a 1981 S130 2+2

 

Had it almost 4 years now, first i removed all the rust, rust proofed it, and painted it. Then I drove it as my first car for about a year.

 

Now Its running an RB20DET, aftermarket ECU, 3" straight through turbo back custom exhaust, FMIC, and a lil more boost. Pushin around 240rwhp. made 221 on 10psi, now running 14.

Mod list,

 

engine bay needs to be seam welded before i can drop ll this in .. eta 3 months!

 

-L28 with 240 rods AZ zcar Forged pistons, sitting in the stand.

-HKS 2mm gasket

-Lightened flywheel (13LBS)

-P90 head To do: Port

-Special ground Cam by ISKY is made as we speak .. this to help out my compound charge set up, no specs asof yet.

-M60 Eaton Roots blower

-T3/T4 turbo 70 AR exhaust housing special WRX 48 AR exhaust housing with a 3" outlet

- Coldfusion N02 wet kit

-M3 ITBS on custom manifold fabbed as we speak.

-HKS BOV

-Autocooler core IC with custom end tanks.

-Fluidyne custom radiator

-MsS 'ECU'

yet to be made: 3" exhaust, hardware is there.

 

Chassis/suspension

-Seam welded crossmembers.

-Full polly bushing where not replaced with heim joints.

-z31 5 lugs in the rear with 88 vented disks and calipers.

-z31 front struts with z32 calipers.

-Steel brake lines

-Full coil overs front and rear.

-Koni adjustables

-17" 10j in the rear. (275-45)

-17" 8.5J upfront (245-45)

-R200 OBX HLSD 3.3 gearing with diff cooler.

-Rollcage ( only front part needs to be finished)

left to do: paint engine bay/seam weld it, paint underside and and some chassis stiffners

 

Interior

-Sparco evo (classic) seats.

-Simpson 6 point harness.

-Monster tach integrated in stock cluster. with 270 KMH speedo.

-HKS gauges ( boost/EGT/oil pressure)

-Greddy profec B

-280zx floormats

 

exterior

-Grigory alloy paint.

-Whale tail.

-Front MSA airdam.

-Fender mirrors

-4" cowl hood ( carbonfiber)

-splitter/bellypan

Left to do: mount mirrors

the mount looks randomly supported, and in a way it is .. but that is because i need to keep my plugs accessible, and this way i can remove them all with the charger mounted

-Bosch fuel pump for Porsche 944T

-Pallnet fuel Rail

-Aeromotive AFPR

-Removed A/C, power steering, etc.

-HUGE aluminum radiator (from Ron Tyler / Paul Ruschman) barely fits between frame rails

-EGT and Boost gage in dual A-pillar pod for a Miata

-Tokico Blues struts

-Suspension Techniques front and rear sway bars

-Techno Toy Tuning roll center adjusters

-Cusco front and rear strut tower braces

-Poly bushing all around

 

Brakes:

-Power-slot rotors

-Stainless braided lines (& clutch too)

 

Exterior:

-MSA body kit (airdam, sides and rear plus California wing)

-New paint (Acura electron blue pearl)

-R32 Skyline fog lights

-Magnaflow knockoff muffler (2.5" in, dual 2.5" out)

-Hella H4 headlights with PIAA arctic blue bulbs

Here is my 1980 ZX last summer after rebuilding the suspension. I bought it from the original owner, bone stock with original paint, perfect black interior, etc. It's an odd one as it is a base model with no power options, but has A/C. Currently it has no drive train and is getting a turbo motor swap. I've had many 280zx turbo's, but this car is by far my favorite and is a keeper.

Proud new owner of a 82 zx. Bought about a month ago and didnt know much about the car and was suprised that it had power windows and the voice warning scared the hell outta me the 1st time i left my lights on. It as original paint and blood red interior. I'll post pics as soon as i can.

82 n/a t-tops black GL package.

i got it from a friend of my older sister. her friend drove the tow truck for a local dealership and they got it from a drunk driver. it sat for three years before i got it. new battery and it started right up. i live in the desert so no rust. paid $400 for it and another $200 to the guy for him to get me a clean title. and he through in the brick holding the passanger seat in place for free!

Got it from original owner. guy took good care of it in really nice shape. found an 83 turbo with blown headgasket for parts car. put the turbo power plant in when my wife gives me some time off from fixing the new house we just bought. Nothing fancy at the moment just cold air intake.

What kind of coils are you running? I took my car out to a lil slide session to see how my new set up was and i did not like my ride so soft i couldnt connect things it was to musshy....

I use generic coils the are in the 300 range and stiff as hell!

On the 40 tires and no rubber in the front strut assembly to be found all i can say from a little test ride ..

it is blood pissing stiff!

Given the struts are on their heaviest setting, also i use msa sway bars and adjustable end links ( one poly rubber in there)

I've been patiently waiting for updates on your car! Waiting for the widebody pics ;]

 

Yeah you and me both, when i last went for a look it had been striped back to bare metal, and the drivers door repaired, the front gaurds had also been cut, one wasnt there at the time so it might of already been widend, ill post pics up when i get some.
